Antropometria da mão humana: influência do gênero no design ergonômico de instrumentos manuais

The wrong sizing of handle instruments can generate ergonomic problems. To know the anthropometry of the hands is indispensable for a correct sizing, especially how much the gender influences in this aspect. The objective of this study was quantitatively to evaluate the influence of the sort in the anthropometry of the hand human being. The results indicate that the differences are significant and that this factor must be considered in design of manual instruments.

Procedimentos de avaliação em terapia de casais a partir de múltiplos instrumentos

Conjugal problems may damage parents and children relationships favoring the appearance of behavior problems, as well as causing psychological problems. Given the lack of studies which value several interrelated behavioral repertoires, the present paper aims at presenting assessment results employing multiple instruments in regards to the three couples that sought clinical services at a University clinic. Results indicated that participants were presenting communication deficits, problem solving difficulties, and problems in expressing affection confirming literature findings. Problems in other areas were also reported, which influenced the marital relationship. It stands out that the children were presenting indications of behavior problems. The relevance of data collection applying different instruments is discussed, and it is necessary that intervention programs consider individual difficulties, besides setting up singular objectives for each person searching for service.

Water management has in the watershed plans an important tool to plan the territory and adjust the activities develop over it to the natural resources availability. The incorporation of uncertainty analysis associated with hydrological modelling predictions is a manner to simulate scenarios and work with chances and probabilities that certain events happens inside these plans. Using stochastic methods is possible to consider uncertainty from estimations and even model it. Stochastic methods developed considerably during the last 30 years, but its applications to real-world problems have been limited, and did not turn into routine in hydrology. This paper brings an overview from eminent hydrologists about this subject and discuss the Brazilian and Paulista situation in the scope of groundwater monitoring.
