As diretrizes curriculares nacionais da educação infantil: em busca de um trabalho pedagógico com qualidade

Since when nurseries and pre-schools were established to serve educationally Brazilian children by Federal Constitution of 1988, advances were taken up claiming the improvement of early childhood education, such as raising the professional training, transfer of funds, construction of schools, as well as legal provisions have been drafted to guide and define the pedagogical practices of early childhood education. This paper intends to discuss the National Curriculum Guidelines for Early Childhood Education, which define how they should be organized teaching practice, and examine how the activities should be developed in early childhood education institutions, to objectify the holistic development of children in seeking quality care this stage of basic education.

Educação e desenvolvimento da criança na primeira infância: o campo das responsabilidades

The new educational context requires the prospect of a more playful and pedagogic practices more flexible, and that meets promote child development, which includes the child in her singularity and allows her to read display that features the world, that stimulates exercise and allow the creative act that respects the feelings and emotions she has, which values ​​the different forms of infantile expression. The child needs and is entitled to promote his integral development potential. Therefore, it is necessary to have professional commitment to promote a quality educational services for children.

Contribuições da epistemologia genética para a construção do conhecimento na educação infantil

The kindergarten has as main objective the development of the child from zero to five years in their physical, emotional, cognitive and social domains. This is also the goal of the Centers for Children Living from the Universidade Estadual Paulista (UNESP) that caters to children of teachers, technical and administrative staff and students. In this work we report some of the action of the Technical Commission of the CCIs with reflections on the construction of children's knowledge through observations of the CCIs in different campuses of Unesp, conducted through technical visits. As a theoretical contribution we adopt the Genetic Epistemology of Jean Piaget. Partial results show that, although there are efforts to understand and assist the process of constructing knowledge of children, many challenges remain to be overcome in the realization of an excellent service to children.

Movimento jogo e brincadeira na educação infantil: as expectativas das famílias

Childhood is a theme that has attracted many controversies and discussions, and winning approaches to the increasingly large over time: biological, psychological, educational, welfare and, more recently, sociological. It is known that the movement, play and game activities are important recurrent and integral development of children, and should be present prominently in early childhood institutions. Based on these assumptions is that this study aimed to analyze the didactic-pedagogical principles postulated by the law, official guidelines didactic teaching and literature, with regard to meeting the needs of children in early childhood education. Unveiling the expectations of the families responsible for children in relation to early childhood education, especially with regard to movement, and play games and compare to what extent these expectations turn away or close to the guidelines on teaching and pedagogical movement, games and postulated in official documents, legislation and literature. To this end, we carried out literature search, selection and analysis of texts relevant to the understanding of the theme. Fieldwork was conducted in a Municipal School of Early Childhood Education Full-time (Emei) of Bauru/SP, and involved the analysis of the Political-Pedagogical Project of the institution, semi-structured interviews with five teachers and five children in the family responsible for Garden II (ages 5 to 6 years). Data were analyzed using thematic content analysis of Bardin and triangulated by the confrontation of literature/legislation, the Pedagogical Political Project of the institution and the expectations of families/guardians. Educação em saúde para atenção à gestante: paralelo de experiências entre Brasil e Portugal

Care practices have raised some questions concerning the attention given to women, specifically when it comes to issues of extreme importance in Public Health's approach of pre-natal care. The present study intends to discuss the scope and challenges of the integral care in maternal health, taking into consideration the experiences of one of the authors in the health scenarios from both Brazil and Portugal. A comparative analysis was conducted on the format of the pre-natal classes offered to groups of pregnant women, a frequent practice of Primary Care in both countries. The method of participant observation of two groups of pregnant women, one in each country was used. The organization of each group is presented and evaluated regarding its methodological and practical settings. The analysis of the experiences indicates that both groups can be considered as informative or educative, since the chosen methodology and structure was formed by lectures with predefined themes; there was reduced reflection and empowerment possibilities, due to the fragmented presentation form, and this could also mean diminished reflection on the changes of the feminine role. It is thus concluded that the need for offering care for women in different periods of their lives should include a continuous fight for an amplified and integral approach, with emphasis in the care network and in health promotion.

Ensino de física e energia: estudo de possibilidades didáticas na educação básica

This monograph has the inspiring theme of the Energy education, concept of extreme importance to physics, but that is rarely addressed in Brazilian schools. We bring a discussion of the problems faced in teaching this subject and present this analysis of how this issue is addressed in some textbooks that are part of the material available to students of basic education in our country. We also discuss a didactic proposal to the Physics Teaching using for this experiment. The proposal considers the student protagonist of the learning process being the builder of his own knowledge. For this proposal selected three experiments (solar plate, looping and looping coffee cups) analyzed from the point of view of energy that have the intention to leave this clearer content and close to the students. Educação para o desenvolvimento sustentável: o papel da Universidade

The University is responsible for the stablishment of citizens with critical thinking, based on current concepts, capable of a dynamic and participative attitude in the community in which these professinals will be inserted. Education at environmental sustainability, permeated by the articulation among knowledge, social, and cultural phenomena, brings the challenge of incorporating skills, providing essential values not only for understanding the historical relations between human beings and the environment, but also to improving the quality of life. The “World Conference on Higher Education in the Twenty-first Century: Vision and Action" guides the educational process by its mission to train citizens professionals, highly informed, motivated, integrated and able to create a society based on love of humanity and wisdom. The balancing among the basic functions of teaching, research and extension within the University contributes to the student to take ownership of the construction of his own knowledge in a perspective of integral formation of the human being, aware of his social responsibility and policy for a society environmentally sound. This paper aims to, guided by literature review, present some considerations on the role of the University in education for environmental sustainability.

Situação de rua e evasão escolar: atenção para a educação inclusiva

This paper aims to present a study about the importance of Education as a public policy for the integral development of children and adolescents in street situation. As theoretical foundation, the authors used constructs from the National Policy of Special Education in the perspective of Inclusive Education, the Statute of the Child and Adolescent emphasizing the importance of family and social networks as a way to protect children and adolescents who left school and live under the precarious situation of street. In this sense, the National Policy of Special Education in the perspective of Inclusive Education has just pointed to the issues that pass by the inclusion of these children and adolescents to put them back to school. To do this, it is necessary to implement policies designed to the care of children and adolescents victimized by the living on the streets.

Modelagem Matemática e Análise de Modelos Matemáticos na Educação Matemática

In this paper we present two studies, the first one completed and the second one in development, which are based in teaching approaches that propose the qualitative study of mathematical models as a strategy for the teaching and learning of mathematical concepts. These teaching approaches focus on subjects from Higher Education such as Introduction to Ordinary Differential Equations and Topics of Differential and Integral Calculus. We denominate this common aspect of the teaching approaches as Model Analysis and in a preliminary level we relate it with Mathematical Modeling. Furthermore, we discuss some questions related with the choice of the theme and the role of Digital Technologies when Model Analysis is applied.
