Ligas que compreendem quantidades de metais expressas como porcentagens em peso, incluídas dentro dos seguintes intervalos: 8-20% de Al; 1-20% de Ag; 0-2% (de preferência 0,5-1%) de um metal minoritário (de preferência Co); e o resto até 1005 de Cu. As suas transformações martensíticas têm lugar a temperaturas superiores e aproximadamente 200°C, e próximas aos 400°C em alguns casos, sendo habituais as próximas aos 300°C. Possuem maior resistência à corrosão que as ligas convencionais. São úteis em novos campos de aplicação industrial como, por exemplo, no controle de temperatura em óleos de alto ponto de ebulição e em situações de grande desprendimento de calor por reações exotérmicas ou por grande roçamento.

Smart grids are the focus of major study today because of the necessity of modernization in electrical systems and reduction of greenhouse gas emissions that increases global warming. Reaching the best deployment method, you must first of all know the current electrical system and how to use them for the benefit of this new technology. Preparing the action plan we should be aware of the main points of smart grids in each step of the electricity system - generation, transmission and distribution. Analyzed these topics, this work will focus on the first step in the implementation of the smart grids: the smart meters, tool which is already being implemented in Brazil. The main characteristics and applications of these devices, as well as their communication structure with the core distributors will be showed during the paper. Finally, we present a case study which will be discussed and analyzed based in the results obtained with the implementation of smart meters in the city of Vancouver, Canada, where we have a considerable savings already in the first year, with fully paying the initial investment and still have a profit

Considerado una verdadera lección de cine, ya que es una película que se refiere al propio arte cinematográfica, La ventana indiscreta (Rear Window), dirigida por Alfred Hitchcock en 1954, tuvo como base para el guión de John Michael Hayes el cuento “Tenía que ser un asesinato” (“It had to be murder”, 1942), de Cornell Woolrich. Reconocido como uno de los mayores escritores del género policial noir, Woolrich profesaba la “poética del fracaso, [...] conduciendo gradualmente la angustia de la víctima al centro del cuadro, en contraste con la indiferencia mecánica de una sociedad que no se molestaba con su suerte”. (OLIVA, 2003, p.116- 7). La película tuvo un gran éxito de público y crítica, pero esto no había ocurrido con el cuento, que solo se hizo conocido después de su adaptación para el cine. El propósito de este trabajo es realizar un análisis comparativo entre los dos textos, subrayando los siguientes aspectos: 1) la caracterización del género noir (cuando la investigación ya no es un juego para mentes refinadas, como había sido en la narrativa policial clásica) y del suspense (narrativa de tensión que se caracteriza por el aplazamiento de la resolución del enigma), tanto en la narración literaria como en la película; 2) la autorreferencialidad en la película y en el cuento mediante el uso de la metaficción; 3) el problema de la transposición del foco en primera persona de la narrativa para el cine; 4) los diferentes desenlaces, señalando en qué medida indican visiones del mundo también divergentes.

Understanding consciousness is one of the most fascinating challenges of our time. From ancient civilizations to modern philosophers, questions have been asked on how one is conscious of his/her own existence and about the world that surrounds him/her. Although there is no precise definition for consciousness, there is an agreement that it is strongly related to human cognitive processes such as: thinking, reasoning, emotions, wishes. One of the key processes to the arising of the consciousness is the attention, a process capable of promoting a selection of a few stimuli from a huge amount of information that reaches us constantly. Machine consciousness is the field of the artificial intelligence that investigate the possibility of the production of conscious processes in artificial devices. This work presents a review about the theme of consciousness - in both natural and artificial aspects -, discussing this theme from the philosophical and computational perspectives, and investigates the feasibility of the adoption of an attentional schema as the base to the cognitive processing. A formal computational model is proposed for conscious agents that integrates: short and long term memories, reasoning, planning, emotion, decision making, learning, motivation and volition. Computer experiments in a mobile robotics domain under USARSim simulation environment, proposed by RoboCup, suggest that the agent can be able to use these elements to acquire experiences based on environment stimuli. The adoption of the cognitive architecture over the attentional model has potential to allow the emergence of behaviours usually associated to the consciousness in the simulated mobile robots. Further implementation under this model could potentially allow the agent to express sentience, selfawareness, self-consciousness, autonoetic consciousness, mineness and perspectivalness. Used as catalysts even in organic and inorganic molecules, as additives on catalysts, electrochromic films on smart windows the tungsten trioxide have been largely studied on the lasts decades, but there is just a few about it's luminescence. Using as precursors nitric acid and sodium tungstate the tungsten trioxide were been prepared thru wet process then treating on thermic and hydrothermal treatments. Where been evaluated the effects of methodology, nitric acid concentration, duration and temperature of treatments. The samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), Raman scattering spectroscopy (RSS), Fourier transformed infrared spectroscopy, photoluminescence spectroscopy (PLS) and X-ray excited optical luminescence (XEOL). Hydrated phases of tungsten trioxide were obtained through hydrothermal treatments and the non-hydrated phases occur with thermic treatments. The acid concentration has the ability to determine the major phase formed as well the temperature determine the hydratation of the product. With lower temperatures dihydrate phase were preferable formed and with the rise of temperature, the water molecules were lost up to the fractionary hydratation and then the non-hydrated phase with higher temperatures depending on the atmosphere used on the thermal treatment. Doping the system with europium ions even substituting tungsten or in the interstices of the matrix were not been successful, as well the XEOL spectroscopy intensity were null and quite low for ultraviolet and visible excitation photoluminescence because of oxygen defect levels localized into the prohibited band.
