Várzea Paulista: a experiência de um curso para professores - uma abordagem da África ao Brasil afro

O artigo é uma reflexão a partir da pesquisa desenvolvida junto a professores da rede municipal de Várzea Paulista (SP) no que diz respeito ao conhecimento deles sobre a lei 10639/2003, tendo por base um questionário e o desenvolvimento de um curso sobre o assunto.

A cultura afro-brasileira na sala de aula: uma proposta de trabalho pedagógio com obras que dialogam com o livro 'Três anjos mulatos do Brasil ', de Rui de Oliveira

The theme of African-Brazilian culture is still little explored in the school environment, in spite of the 10.639/03 law which prescribes its mandatory teaching as well as that of African-Brazilian history and African culture in all schools, public and private, from the Elementary School level to High School. Moreover, this law emphasizes the importance that these cultures had in the formation of Brazilian society. Considering this issue, this paper aims to analyze the work Três anjos mulatos do Brasil (2011), by Rui de Oliveira, which brings together three sensitive and touching biographies, followed by beautiful and artistic pictures. hese narratives address the genius of three great artists –Aleijadinho, Mestre Valentim and Father José Maurício–, their styles, their creations and struggle for recognition, as well as the sufering they experienced, primarily caused by racial discrimination. Also, we intend to present in this text a suggested pedagogical use of the work by Oliveira, by applying the “Recepcional” method, as it was deined by Bordini and Aguiar (1993).

Ser ou não ser (de santo)?: aspectos do campo religioso afro-brasileiro na peça teatral Balbina de Iansã, de Plínio Marcos

To be or not to be (of candomblé)? – aspects of Afro-Brazilian religious field in the theater play Balbina de Iansã, by Plínio Marcos. In 1970, the playwright born in Santos-SP Plínio Marcos writes and directs the spectacle Balbina de Iansã, an adaptation (in form of a musical) from Romeo and Juliet, by Shakespeare. The action happens in a candomblé yard, managed authoritatively by a Mãe-de Santo, who tries to prevent the young protagonist couple’s love. This study analyzes the representation of some rites and principles of Afro-Brazilian religion in the play, especially concerning the critique of the relations of power that exist in the yards of São Paulo.

A temática afro brasileira no contexto da Educação Física escolar

The choice Brazilian african study theme in the general education, and particularly in physical education has not advanced as to be themed with the subject matter. Even open to this issue, in 2003 a law was passed introducing an obligation of racial ethnic correlations in Brazil. Law 10.639, changed the LDB (Guidelines and Framework Act, 1996) and establishing the obligation both in elementary school as high school, public and private, the teaching of history and African Culture and African Brazilian. As the main objective of disseminating the importance of valuing the African culture and its legacy, expanding the looks and the knowledge about the culture and history of a people who often are discriminated against and excluded by society. The questions that arise are the following: The physical education teacher know that prerogative? Incorporates the Brazilian african discussion in their classes? Discusses with students these subjects related to corporal practices? Have difficulty in dealing with this issue? What? Thus the aim of this study was to detect whether and how a group of physical education teachers is the Brazilian african theme in their classes, for the fulfillment of the Law 10.639 / 03. The methodology of this study was qualitative descriptive type. Were used for data collection semi-structured interviews and non-participant observation. The data obtained through interviews with teachers were transcribed, reviewed and classified according to the content analysis. Mestre Didi: um estudo sobre arte e cultura afro-brasileira

The following study aimed understanding the self-esthetic of the artist-priest Master Didi, doing so a symbolic interpretation of his sculptures, considering his relations with the ritual performance of candomblé, his creative process and his artistic, sociocultural and religious influences. The interpretation of sculptures and comprehension of the process of creation from the artist with focus on the representation of orixás allowed us to evidence the relationship established between the procedures used by the artist to produce his sculptures, the materials used in his work, the relationship of works and religion, with culture and afro-Brazilian art.

Sincretismo cultural na joalheria afro-brasileira

Body adornment has been used as a ornament, ritualistic object, religious icon or as symbol demonstration of status and power in many different cultures. In Brazil, own visuality develops from the cultural syncretism. Thus, together with the mode of dress, the african-Brazilian jewelry acquires peculiarities derived from cultural identities that coexist. This paper proposes a look at africanBrazilian jewelry through visual representation in some works of Jean-Baptiste Debret - French painter member of the French Artistic Mission that registered objects and everyday scenes of slaves and freemen, of poor whites and aristocrats of Rio de Janeiro in the early nineteenth century. We are looking for jewelry as a historical record of lifestyles from a time and place with a social, economic and cultural local configuration.

Atividade da 6-fosfogliconato desidrogenase em deficientes de glicose-6-fosfato desidrogenase

As enzimas G6PD e 6PGD são responsáveis pela geração do aporte de NADPH, necessário para a detoxificação dos agentes oxidantes produzidos pelo estresse oxidativo metabólico nos eritrócitos. Devido à alta prevalência de deficiência de G6PD na população mundial, principalmente de origem negróide africana, muitos estudos têm sido realizados na tentativa de conhecer melhor a atuação destas enzimas. O objetivo deste estudo foi avaliar a atividade enzimática da 6PGD, nos deficientes de G6PD, para verificar a existência de aumento da atividade desta enzima, correlacionando com um possível aumento do número de reticulócitos ou presença de alterações da série vermelha. A pesquisa em 2.657 indivíduos do sexo masculino resultou em 97 deficientes de G6PD, determinando uma prevalência de 3,65% para a região de Bauru (SP), com atividade enzimática média de G6PD de 1,74 UI.g Hb-1. min-1 a 37ºC, 14,4% da atividade da G6PD normal. A atividade enzimática média da 6PGD foi de 9,5 UI.g Hb-1. min-1 a 37ºC, estando aumentada em 47,4% dos deficientes de G6PD. Os resultados não confirmaram que a hipótese do aumento da atividade enzimática da 6PGD, em deficientes de G6PD, seja decorrente da presença de um número aumentado de reticulócitos na corrente circulatória, faixa etária ou alterações eritrocitométricas que denotem anemia. O mais provável é que a hemólise autolimitada, imposta pelos processos oxidativos, preserve os eritrócitos mais jovens, que possuem atividade enzimática mais elevada, uma vez que naturalmente ocorre diminuição da atividade destas enzimas com o envelhecimento celular.
