A identidade feminina em The Magic Toyshop: estudos de gênero no texto e na tela

Besides producing a vast literary work, Angela Carter (1940-1992) participated of the screenplay’s production for two movies based on her books, The Company of Wolves and The Magic Toyshop. Either through the influence that cinema had in her life or through the very own style of her writing, the relation of the British author with the seventh art is visible. Considering the importance of significations in literary works, this paper proposes a comparative study between Angela Carter’s The Magic Toyshop (1967) and the film of the same title, based on Carter’s novel, directed by David Wheatley and produced by Granada Television, in 1987. Based on Tania Carvalhal’s conception about intertextuality and film theories, the focus of this paper is the gender study, since its ideology is subscribed, represented and reproduced in every cultural practice, including literature and cinema. The characters construction in both cases, especially the female characters, is filled with symbols which are going to bring the film closer to the literary work and contribute to express the critics suggested in the work’s leading: the complaint to the patriarchal system. However, given the different nature of each work, it is necessary to stress that this present comparison doesn’t intend to establish a total identification between novel and film, but to set a dialogue between both, observing the approximation and distance of these two instances.

Epic poetry in the construction of Dion Chrysostom’s Discourses. The construction of images in the speeches of Dion Chrysostom was drawn from references in Homer. When the orator uses images from Greek epic poetry, Dion Chrysostom intimates the representation of images found in the literature to propagate his philosophical and political ideas during the first century A.D. under the administration of the emperors Domitian, Nerva and Trajan. Current analysis of the author’s works discusses literature as one of the representational forms of Hellenistic identity under Roman domination.

Currently with the context of the Internet, especially on online social networks, it is observed that people and companies are establishing relationships both online and offline. The new digital culture and the competitiveness of the market are making companies change the way they communicate with their customers, providing a broader and more participative communication with their stakeholders. This resear chaims to understand the relation of corporate communication and Public Relations and from the conceptualization of the trials will detect the relationship processes of companies and their public in online social networks. Understand this type of relation ship is interesting because that, it is the field of the Public Relations professional. An area that grows in importance in today's market, since Facebook is being used as a channel of communication and relationship with consumers. The methodology used is exploratory research, in which, it aims to familiarize themselves with the subject and the possibility of analyzing three examples of relationships and engagement in the corporate communications field. In this case, the ranking of the top three companies, Coca-Cola, Guaraná Antarctica e Mc Donald's, in the Top Facebook Posts Brazil in January 2015. It is important that to have a Public Relations Professional that is able to create an open channel of communication on social networks with the purpose of detecting the characteristics of the target public and promote the participation of such public in the building of content and the innovative organization process. A iniciação à docência em professores de educação física: os portfólios e as possibilidades de construção da profissão

No Brasil não há uma tradição de programas de iniciação à docência, mas é sabido que tais programas auxiliam na imersão e consolidação do profissional professor, que na fase inicial da carreira, apresenta necessidades específicas. Dessa forma este estudo se propõe a desvelar como um grupo de iniciação à docência (PIBID - área de Educação Física) tem construído o seu percurso no âmbito do ensino, da introdução ao ensino, entendendo esta perspectiva também como um modelo de educação centrado na iniciação. Assim sendo, este trabalho tem como objetivo central compreender a iniciação a docência no âmbito do projeto PIBID de educação física, buscando identificar os elementos que são apontados pelos estudantes como significativos nesse processo de aprendizagem. Especificamente se busca (a) averiguar os elementos que compõem a iniciação a docência dentro dos relatos dos estudantes; (b) identificar os elementos que são apontados pelos estudantes como significativos nesse processo de aprendizagem da docência e (c) analisar o sentido que estes estudantes atribuem para esta experiência na compreensão do ser professor. Opta-se metodologicamente pela pesquisa qualitativa, estudo descritivo, tendo como técnicas a fonte documental e a análise de conteúdo. Os documentos utilizados nesta pesquisa serão Relatórios de Experiência do 1º Semestre, documentos sobre a Contribuição do Projeto Interdisciplinar, Relatos de Experiência como Aluno da Educação Básica dentre outros produzidos por bolsistas do PIBID. Foram encontrados 3 eixos temáticos acerca dos resultados: Tornar-se professor: um processo e uma escolha, Iniciação à docência: Elementos que a compõem, ; PIBID e a aprendizagem da docência: contribuições e limites. A experiência da saúde coletiva na formação profissional: retrato da extensão universitária

The guidelines of National Curriculum for Dental courses highlights the necessity in providing for the professional the ability to analyze and assess community’s problems and needs, and to create solutions for the society. The continuing education may be considered a useful tool for the teaching and learning because it favors the diversification of learning environments, which allows the insertion of undergraduate and graduate students into the real scenarios. This current study aimed to assess the Public Health projects and programs of the UNESP – Araçatuba Dental School, by describing the interaction experiences between faculty and health services in the professional career development. Historical, documentary and descriptive searches were performed based on the faculty archives such as official documents, reports, databases from the Pro-rector of continuing education and published papers in the period between 1964 and 2011. The following experiences were noted: the Extra-Muro Dental Service (SEMO), established in 1964, that focused in providing dental treatment to the rural population, highlighted the social inclusion of discriminated society groups since that time. In 1972, this service was expanded to several specific populations living in the urban areas. In the '60s, many educational campaigns were performed as homemade water filter and construction of wells and septic tanks which demonstrate the concern with the determinants of healthdisease process. At that time, the campaign of fluoridation of public water supplies in several counties started as Araçatuba, Birigui, Penápolis, Guararapes, Valparaíso and so on. The Campaign of “Good Teeth” from the '70s became wider over time and it was transformed in the "Oral Health Education Program" and it was continuously developed in all public schools of Araçatuba and some neighboring towns, benefiting children aged from 6 to 10 years-old. Several epidemiological studies of caries, periodontal diseases, malocclusion and fluorosis were conducted in cooperation with local governments, and counted with the participation of undergraduate and graduate students. Pereira Barreto – SP was the precursor city in Brazil to carry out fluorosis study. Currently, 12 projects of Public Health from the Institution of Higher Education in the Pro-rector of continuing education are being developed. The concern in qualifying the human resources in health is confirmed with the development of training courses and workshops for professionals, highlighting the training for people enrolled in the Family Health program; Community Health Agent training - Solidarity University, and Municipal Health Counselors training. The Graduate Program in Social and Preventive Dentistry, created in 1993, has an important role to train several professionals for the Unified Health System, and provides education to create researchers, professors and administrators, and enucleates research groups in several Brazilian states. In all activities showed herein, a dynamic participation of undergraduate and graduate students has been observed, and several books, guidelines, articles, brochures and booklets have been published as a result of the continuing education activities.. It was concluded that different projects and programs have been developed by the Public Health of UNESP –Araçatuba Dental School, which allow the exchange of experience between the university and health services, and benefit all participants enrolled in these activities.
