Relações de complementação no português brasileiro: uma perspectiva discursivo-funcional

É apresentado nesse estudo uma investigação sobre os tipos de orações completivas, distribuídas numa hierarquia entre mais ou menos verbal/nominal, tendo como suporte dados reais de conversação. Trata-se de um trabalho sobre a gramática da complementação do português brasileiro, mais especificamente sobre construções gramaticalmente disponíveis, com base em determinados tipos de predicados encaixadores verbais, em relação ao papel que essas construções exercem nas estruturas completivas do português

O retorno: identidades à deriva no romance português contemporâneo

This paper concentrates on the analysis of how the typical voices of History are manifested, which is achieved by the aesthetics of the contemporary Portuguese narrative, as it aims at the same time the reflexion and the reformulation of the Lusitanian cultural imaginary in the course of O retorno, a novel by Dulce Maria Cardoso. The hypothesis that arises is that the trajectory of Rui’s individual experience, as wells as the other’s characters “retornados” looking for identity, is parallel to the proposed revision of the Portuguese nation collective cultural imaginary in the decolonization context, after the 25th April Revolution. It is its objective to investigate how the historical processes concerned to the concepts of exile and uprooting, displacement and belonging (BAUMAN, 2005) are fictionalized in the novel, seen as motes for Rui’s pursuit for identity and for the revision of the Portuguese Destiny theme

Análise entoacional acústica e auditiva de alguns enunciados do português brasileiro

The main goal of this work is the analysis of theoretical and methodological aspects of speech melody variation (intonation), with special reference to the pronunciation of one speaker. In order to carry on this study, different types of sentences (declarative, questions, etc.) and the intonational focus as well as the speaker‟s attitude (irony, emphasis, etc.) were observed and analyzed with special acoustic software (PRAAT) and with an auditory analysis of a text read by the subject. The aim of this work is to verify whether the acoustic analysis matches with the auditory perception phonetically, according to M.A.K. Halliday‟s methodology, following Cagliari (2007), who adapted Halliday‟s model to describe the intonation of Portuguese

O português do Brasil e seus aspectos linguisticos-culturais: reflexões sobre a gastronomia brasileira para aula de PLE

The present paper aims to analyze and problematize the manner that Brazilian gastronomy is treated in didactic books of Portuguese as Foreign Language. To reach such objective, it will be considered, specially, the approaches and the methodologies of four of those books, from distinct periods of publication: Fala Brasil (1989); Aprendendo Português do Brasil (1993); Passagens (2002); Bem-Vindo! (2009). From this analysis, it’s possible to think of new possibilities to insert the Brazilian gastronomy in a Portuguese class for foreigners, considering that the aspects of Brazil’s culture are also held inside its language; this language shows a universe beyond linguistics structure and maintains the habits and history of its people inside itself
