Bloqueios anestésicos perineurais da região distal do membro torácico do equino para diagnóstico em claudicações

This work demonstrates the technique of perineural anesthetic blocks made in the distal forelimb of the horse, and also covers aspects relating to the interpretation of the results obtained with the procedure. The limit of the subject the distal forelimb of horses is explained by the distribution of common lameness, being more frequent in this region. The procedure is intended to provide analgesia to a region of the limb, causing the animal to stop limping or decrease the intensity of claudication temporarily, since this region is responsible for the claudication, allowing thus, the likely location of the lesion, which may be investigated by other helper methods to confirm the diagnosis. Besides the description of the technique, were approached concerning aspects to the location of the anatomical structures involved, materials needed, cares with the animals, and possible complications from the procedure

Resistir e fixar: a formação de negros territórios e suas manifestações na cidade de Rio Claro - SP

This paper presents some of the territories occupied by the black community in the city of Rio Claro in the course of its history and check through their interpretations of cultural, emergence, unfolding and current use. The identification of changes in those territories was through oral history, building on the views and stories of their own community, literature review, data collection 'in situ' through research and observation of participants and resource utilization of the global network of information. It is justified by the fundamental importance of recording information in the history of the land and built space in the black community of Rio Claro, since the most part, as well as throughout the Brazilian territory, has no documentation and remains alive in the memory and the stories within the past communities, so each time you die an old man also lost part of the history of our nation

Tradução e análise dos artigos de Karl Kautsky acerca do imperialismo e seus desdobramentos em relação à economia e sociedade contemporânea e o Brasil

A eminência da Primeira Guerra Mundial efervesceu o debate entre teorias que buscavam explicar as causas e as conseqüências daqueles conflitos. Dentre os principais pensadores da época, Karl Kautsky, editor da revista Die Neue Zeit, era considerado o primeiro discípulo de Marx e Engels, exercendo, através de seus artigos, grande influência social. E foi no ano de 1914 que, através dos artigos O imperialismo e a Guerra, O ultraimperialismo e a Preparação para Paz, Kautsky definiu sua interpretação e expectativas em relação a aquele momento. O conteúdo desses artigos é de primordial relevância para estimar, observando o desenrolar do século XX, o quanto fez sentido suas interpretações. Assim, o objetivo é contribuir ao esclarecimento dos pensamentos deste autor, a fim de ajudar a entender a sociedade mundial contemporânea e o Brasil, quase um século depois de ter feito as publicações mencionadas

Estudo da influência do lineamento Tibagi e Sinclinal de Torres na estruturação da porção norte da bacia de Pelotas

The area of this work is located along the Northern portion of the Pelotas´s basin. The onshore region extends from the Southern portion São Paulo State to the North of Rio Grande do Sul State, with a total area of 440 530 km ². The objective of the research is to characterize the main geological structures of the outcropping basement in the Paraná Basin and its correlation with the offshore portion of the Pelotas Basin. The characterization was performed through the integration of surface (SRTM images and outcrops) and subsurface data (seismic data and well logs), the method includes the use of remote sensing techniques and seismic interpretation. The main structures to be analyzed are the Tibagi Lineament and the “Torres Syncline in order to verify its influence on the geological evolution and deformation of the basin. As result, it was identified the continuity of the both structures inside the offshore basin (Pelotas Basin); but only the Tibagi Lineament represents an important structural feature in the offshore basin. In this sense, the Tibagi lineament shows a NW-SE direction along the both basins (Pelotas and Paraná) and it is defined by drainages and relief on the continental portion. It was classified as a graben structure limited by normal faults and it also was verified a trend of faults inside the lineament that cuts all the sedimentary package of Itararé Group from Paraná Basin. The Torres syncline is a structure that connects the arches of Ponta Grossa and Rio Grande, showing NW-SE orientation and a low angle dip in the NW direction. Its projection into the Pelotas Basin was not recognized by the methods applied in this work, because a preliminary analyze indicates that its projection corresponds to a structural high inside the Pelotas Basin

Mapeamento geológico, caracterização litoquímica e potencial econômico do corpo de cromitito de Cedrolina, Santa Terezinha de Goiás - GO

Studies of mafic-ultramafic bodies have been carried out through the years due to their great use on the interpretation of geochemical and geotectonic processes that took place in Earth's history. Amongst them, chromitites are notably recognized for being excellent indicators of their parental magma chemistry and of different geotectonic environments, as well for frequently containing associated noble metals mineralization. Thus the investigation of one of this ultramafic bodies that occurs inside the Pilar de Goiás Greenstone Belt was proposed, resulting in a detailed map of the chromitites and country rocks, as well as innumerous new data on the chemistry of chromite and associated matrix and accessory minerals. These studies were based upon geological field observations, optic and Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM), besides electron microprobe and cathodoluminescence analysis performed at the “Eugen F. Stumpfl Laboratory” of the Montanuniversität Institute of Resource Mineralogy, University of Leoben - Leoben, Austria. The chromitites are composed of 40-70% in volume of chromite (~50% on average), 14-55% of talc (~30% on average), 3-60% of chromium rich chlorite (~20% on average), traces to 4% of iron hydroxides and traces to 3% of rutile (1,5% on average). The chromite occurs as large spherical aggregates or as fine grained subhedral crystals disseminated in the matrix. This aggregates have diameters of 0.3-1.5 cm (1 cm on average) and are extremely well rounded, massive to intensively fractured, and commonly deformed to ellipsoids. When observed under the microscope, these aggregates show well rounded to slightly irregular borders, but on their interiors, these structures are represented by fine to medium grained euhedral to subhedral chromite crystals that have sharp contacts between themselves. O presente trabalho teve o intuito de resgatar o fenômeno ocorrido em agosto de 1986, no município de Cajamar, onde ocorreu o primeiro caso de formação de dolinas de subsidência e colapso no Brasil em área urbana. Mostra-se assim, através de interpretações da Fisiologia da Paisagem do local atingido, o modo que a cidade se reorganizou após o impacto, tanto na questão ambiental, como nas questões sociais e urbanas, através de entrevistas, relatando o modo de vida e as condições que se encontram a população e o local atingido neste episódio, sendo constatada então, a estabilidade do solo na área em questão

Fragmento D' Alma is an artistic research that part of a poetic tale through an initial charge of dawn one fantastic universe where words have life and willingly. The work includes sculptural works in order to interpret through the use of allegory situations of the tale in the form of sculptural compositions considering one or more characters in the story. In the sculptural work, I tried figuring the relations tale as my interpretations and poetic, so I sought theoretical studies of allegory after noting my affinity with the theme to contribute to the relationship text and image set in my work. I also sought to understand the relationships that the text played with sculptural work, so the chances that I could address this through dialogue between text and image. The studies collected through surveys pointed allegory by João Adolfo Hansen, as well as in various artistic and visual references present in my repertoire, such as the Baroque sculpture of Bernini, the performances of Berna Reale and literature of Neil Gaiman, contributed in this research to the development of my creative process during the preparation of this research work of art, making the complexity of the relationship between textual production and poetic sculptural three-dimensional, also became a concern and an integral theme of my work and my reflections presented here. Therefore, I conclude based on my own experience in this work, the artistic research inspired allegory might contribute to the development of my creative process during the preparation of this artwork, besides assigning relations between textual production and poetic dimensional sculpture

Comportamento antecipatório baseado em registros sobre regularidades passadas

A antecipação constitui uma capacidade de extrema importância à evolução dos vertebrados, pois, ao permitir a geração de previsões e a orientação atencional para estímulos pendentes, possibilitou interpretações mais refinadas do meio, além de uma preparação para a ocorrência de estímulos críticos, aumentando as chances de sobrevivência daqueles que a possuem. O presente trabalho visou avaliar a habilidade de gerar comportamento antecipatório, por meio do teste de extrapolação a partir de padrões seriais de estímulos. Ratos da linhagem Wistar, machos, foram treinados a correr em uma pista reta, ao longo de 22 dias, para obter reforço ao final de cada uma de 4 tentativas sucessivas. Os sujeitos, organizados em dois grupos, foram expostos a uma sequência de quantidades de reforço envolvendo 14, 7, 3 e 1 sementes de girassol (Grupo Monotônico) ou 14, 3, 7 e 1 sementes de girassol (Grupo Não-Monotônico). No 23° dia do experimento uma quinta tentativa, nunca experienciada antes, portanto cuja quantidade de sementes não era conhecida, mas passível de extrapolação a partir do padrão serial, foi adicionada à sessão. Os resultados mostraram que os animais expostos ao padrão monotônico exibiram, na quinta tentativa, substancial aumento do tempo de corrida, como se esperassem uma quantidade de sementes menor do que a experimentada na tentativa anterior. Em contraste, os animais expostos ao padrão não-monotônico exibiram, na quinta tentativa, tempos de corrida relativamente baixos, indicando que esses animais geraram uma expectativa de obtenção de maior quantidade de sementes em relação à tentativa anterior. It is known that there is a wide variety of bioavailable trace metals in aquatic systems, and its determination is fundamental to predict impacts to organisms in these environments. However, the determination of the total concentration of chemicals in aquatic systems, despite its importance, does not provide necessary information for decision making or even may lead to misinterpretation of the procedures and potential risks to the system in question. This study aimed to use the technique of diffusion in thin films by concentration gradients (DGT) to evaluate the anion exchange membrane Whatman DE 81 as binder alternative in determining Cr (VI). Experiments were carried out to determine the diffusion coefficients for the material used diffusion (agarose gel). The behaviors of the binders were analyzed before the main variables of the systems, immersion time, pH and ionic strength. A crise na sociedade do trabalho e sua importância na contextualização dos conteúdos curriculares do ensino médio

This article has as objective to discuss some topics concerning the supposed crisis of the society of the work and its consequences for the debate in social sciences and also for the work category contextualization in the secondary school curriculum. As the work has represented an important explanation category for the classic social thought, the contemporary paradigm of deep metamorphoses in the world of the work and the advent of the new question (CASTELS, 1995; ROSANVALLON, 1995) backward the necessity to rethink the theoretical shades that base the interpretation of the social life on the current context, when the center position of the work is being questioned. Having taken some theoretical references from the sociology of the work, we search to delineate on a brief way the quarrel about the dimensions of the social and political phenomena these days and the importance of this debate on the contextualization of the secondary school curriculum contents.

Intertextualidades, símbolos e mitos entre o romance Mygale e o filme A pele que habito

The award-winning and controversial movie by Pedro Almodóvar “The skin I live” (2011) is an adaptation of Mygale’s novel (1984), the French writer Thierry Jonquet (1954-2009), translated into Portuguese in 2005 as Tarântula. It is a horror story, full of suspense, in which a renowned surgeon, Robert Ledgard, played by Antonio Banderas, switches, without any scruples, the sex of the young Vincent. What it shown to the viewer since the first images of the movie is, therefore, Vicente/Vera in her new and perfect female body. Flashbacks clarify during the movie the events that culminated in the opening scene that is presented to us, surprising us and, of course, shocking us. References to myths and symbols can be noticed in the movie. They bring with them, to be recognized by the viewer, issues related to the creation or metamorphosis, among others, as the Pygmalion and Galatea myth, which binds to artistic creation. Artistic metamorphosis operated equally by the filmmaker in his modern version of the doctor and the monster, for example, but, especially, in the rereading of the Jonquet’s novel. This study seeks to highlight some of the major myths and symbols inserted in Almódovar’s movie and what interpretations such insertions may ensue.
