Análise Documental de obras de ficção: aspectos metodológicos de aplicabilidade

The methodological aspects of the content analysis of fiction with information retrieval purposes are discussed with a focus on the study of textual analysis for the identification of the themes treated in stories. It is assumed that the methodological procedures used for indexing scientific works do not produce satisfactory results when applied to narrative fiction documents. The aim of this paper is to present the gerative sense course as a methodology to extract themes from works of fiction, and to study its application to the indexing of tales by indexers. The methodology used is the construction of gerative sense course, identifying both the narrative level structures (manipulation, competence, performance and punishment) and the discourse level (themes and figures) in order to obtain the theme of the document. The results demonstrated the feasibility of the application of the gerative sense course to the documentary content analysis of works of fiction, in the sense that it provided a clear annotations of the theme of the document that was being indexed by the cataloguers. Several questions related to this procedure require further clarification and also a preliminary study with professionals in the form of a pilot project.

A classificação arquivística: aspectos teóricos de sua constituição

Classification is a fundamental activity for the organization and management of archival document collection, as it is from this function that are based the priorities for the description and the bases for appraisal procedures. This article seeks through the fundamental works to the theoretical and methodological development of the Archival Science characterizes the historical and conceptual background from the classification notion. This article aims to answering some questions about the expansion of its importance during the development of its theory and its use on today. Is also sought to characterize the history of the Archival Science as a discipline since the classification was one of the first activities to be theorized.

Semiótica do discurso científico: um estudo sobre novas perspectivas para a análise documental de conteúdo

Greimas Semiotic offers procedures for the analysis of different types of texts and discourses. For this reason, this study aimed to analyze the production of sense from scientific discourse, explained by Greimas Semiotics and Generative Sense Course, seeking to develop a new perspective on the identification of aboutness in Documentary Content Analysis and Information Science. The method used was exploratory and bibliographic review. Results show that the analysis of scientific discourse contributes to the identification of aboutness in Documentary Content Analysis, using Greimas Semiotics and Generative Sense Course.

Proposal of a theoretical and methodological use of the generative meaning trajectory postulated by Greimas with the intention of developing a methodology for the identification of concepts in narrative texts of fiction to facilitate its subject indexing and classification.

A Linguagem, o Texto e o Documento no contexto da Ciência da Informação

The relation among the concepts text, document and information is discussed, with the aim of clarifying the concept of document, with a focus in the field of economic information organization and management. A document is a medium in which information is recorded and manifested. A document is, thus, material, has a purpose, can be organized and treated for its improved dissemination, and has a specific subject and context.

The theoretical aspects of the narrative structure of documents are discussed, using the Generative Trajectory of Meaning theory. In particular, the difficulties in identifying the subject of the documents (aboutness) are addressed from the linguistic and discursive semantics of Propp, Greimas Saussure, to show how these theories can improve the information representation processes.

Archival Classification and Knowledge Organization: Theoretical Possibilities for the Archival Field

The main goal of this study is to outline a possible relation between archival classification and knowledge organization theory. In this sense, we seek to contribute to the conceptual classification in Archival Science, since there is a lack of systematization about archival classification; not just classification, but even the study of historical and conceptual aspects of the discipline. In the context of knowledge organization there is a considerable amount of research on how to build classification schemes and indexing systems that can help contribute to and expand archival classification theory. In order to comprehend this vast field of theories and methodologies we construct a parallel comparing the classification concepts in both areas and analyzing these concepts.

Elaboração de mapa de susceptibilidade de corridas de massa/detritos e ondas de cheia, aplicado a empreendimentos dutoviários, na bacia hidrográfica do Ribeirão da Prata (SP)

Given the intense expansion of the industries in Brazil and the discovery of hydrocarbons in the pre-salt layer of the Santos and Campos Basin, there is a need to expand the distribution of oil and gas network in the country. The present work aims to present the development of susceptibility map by two distinct methods of two events (debris flows and full wave), applied to the establishment of pipelines on Ribeirão da Prata Basin. The research area covers two municipalities: São João da Boa Vista and Águas da Prata, in total 145 km2. In the paper was used the methodology proposed by Zaine (2011) for the physiographic subdivision method, which uses geological maps, geomorphological maps, digital terrain models and aerial photographs, used to extract the main elements of the physical environment, as rivers, lines, ridges, tops forms and valley forms and historical processes. Thus, the basin was divided into 11 physiographic zones, considering the following elements: thickness of soil, rock type, geomorphology, amplitude, ridges orientation, erosion occurences and mass movements. Were subsequently performed location maps of dams, that had as main purpose to localize major dams in the study area along with their area and perimeter of the reservoir, and land use map that subdivided the area in woody vegetation, permanent culture, temporary culture and urban area. Along with the preparation of the auxiliar maps was conducted a field campaign with three days and approximately 2 points per km2, which aimed to better understand the physical environment and check the main peculiarities of the study area. Criteria have been established for susceptibility maps physiographic subdivision and land use, and a survey of criteria weights used in each map for both processes under study. The term poetic expressiveness refers to the multiple joints of the plan of expression, derived from the expressive value of the linguistic sign (ROSSET: 1970, 135) and its particular role in the field of poetry. The features of meaning, such as projection, elevation and salience, make it possible to consider expressive all poetic statements which constitute particularly dense instances in the formal consolidation of a convergence between the two planes (expression/content), and therefore it stands out from the others due to the high density of structural parallelisms and isomorphisms, which are procedures responsible for the impression that a particular form of content can only be expressed by cutting that same specific form of expression out. These considerations have an immediate impact on the reading, interpretation and practice of translating poems, which is intended to be demonstrated here, through an example of translation of a Phaedrus' fable, written in iambic meter.

A formação de professores no âmbito da abordagemmultirreferencial

In this work we propose a reflection on education and, more specifically, on theprocess of teacher’s education. To approach this discussion we assume the necessityof addressing this issue in its complexity. We used the multi-referential approachthat has the perspective to study educational phenomena considering the heterogeneitytypical of educational relationships. We are holding this discussion by identifyingseveral aspects of the formation of teachers from the fields of education andpsychoanalysis. This route allowed us to deepen and clarify some concepts: education,the teaching relationship, the experienced and lived, suggesting perspectives for theprocess of teacher´s education.

Elastic band causing exfoliation of the upper permanent central incisors

Objective. This study reports a case in which elastic band use culminated in the loss of the incisors. Case Report. An 11-year-old white girl was seen complaining of pain, with purulent discharge and severe tooth mobility. The bone destruction detected radiographically in the region, despite its single location and absence in posterior quadrants of the maxilla and/or mandible, was similar to that observed in Langerhans cell disease. To our surprise, an elastic band involving the midportion of the roots of the two upper central incisors was found during biopsy. The debris was removed and a metal wire was placed in permanent maxillary right and left incisors. The patient was followed up, but no improvement in tooth mobility was observed. Bone loss increased, and internal resorption and root exposure occurred, which culminated in the extraction of permanent maxillary right and left incisors. Conclusion. The present case highlights the fact that professionals sometimes are confronted by anamnestic reports never seen before.
