The goal is to expose some analytical elements on labor and unions of public employees in Brazil, highlighting the case of public employees of the judiciary. At first, we discuss the sociological character of the public proletariat and its dimension in Brazil. Then we discuss the structure of Brazilian union and its corporatist bias. Finally, we we expose the precariousness of work of public sector workers in Brazil in the 2000s.

Influência das representações sociais do pesquisador na análise de dados de entrevistas: um estudo no campo da educação especial

Social representations are values and ideas shared and transmitted by a group of individuals. This article aims to investigate how researchers’ social representations can influence their analysis of an interview. Data were collected from 28 students participating in a course on interview analysis. Students were divided into three groups. Each group received the same excerpt of a transcript, but with different characterizations of the interviewee: for Group 1, it was a young man who had studied in a public school; for Group 2, the subject had attended a special education school for people with intellectual disabilities; for Group 3, he had studied at a private school. The three groups were asked to analyze the interview and submit a written document describing their analysis. The data revealed that the students carried out interpretive synthesis, descriptive synthesis, and thematic analysis. Interpretations of content data indicated that participants in Groups 1 and 3 attributed negative representations to the interviewee and/or to public or private school. In contrast, participants in Group 2, which was told that the interviewee had intellectual disabilities, attributed positive representations to the interviewee and to the special education school. The conclusion indicates the urgency for theoretical and practical training of young researchers regarding analysis of interviews so that the representations do not lead to biased results. The comparison of the results with an earlier similar study points to a probable change in representations of people with intellectual disabilities.

Desafios da formação docente no curso de Pedagogia: aligeiramento e pragmatismo

This paper analyzes recent policies of teacher eduation in Brazil related to the employment and professional dimmensions of the teaching career. It analyzes teacher education policies, and the guidelines established by the World Bank in the 1990s, to reform higher education in the so-called developing countries, focusing on th implementation of neolibera educational policies. These policies have produced a "new" value for educational insititutions: they are emptying schools of education; “defertilization” of schools; “deintellectualization” of the teacher profession; pauperization, fragmentation and emptying the contents teacher education programs and recontextualization of the nexus theory-practice. The reforms after the Directives and Bases of Education - Law No. 9394/1996, with respect to the education of teachers, are analyzed in relation to the process of productive restructuring. We analyze the relation between theory and practice, given the National Curriculum Guidelines for the Education Course (DCNCP, 2006), focusing on the Course of Pedagogy for the Faculty of Philosophy and Science, at the Paulista State University, Campus of Marilia. This course offers an extensive practical training, but restricted as to the academic content offered, limiting the possibilities of an in-depth training for the future teachers. Discussing these relations, this article presents the assessment of the students in the course and concludes offering perspectives for a humanizing and critical training.

Radiocronologia dos sedimentos do Lago de Constança

The dating of sediments in lakes, estuaries and rivers through radionuclides, when applied in association with other analitic methods (heavy metals, organic contaminants, etc.) allows analyses of the anthropogenic interference in the environment along the years. A geochronology of a sediment core from Untersee in Lake Constance, one of the most important hydric resources of Europe, was established through the Pb-210 method and adopting the CRS parameter (Constant Rate of Supply). The Cs-137 was successfully used to give basis to the results, as its additional input occurred in Chernobyl’s accident can be used as a marker to the year 1986. Associating the dating with the cores depth, the average mass accumulation rate and the sedimentation rate for the site were assessed (0,14 g/cm²/year and 4 mm/year respectively).

Avaliação da liberação, permeação e retenção na mucosa vaginal in vitro de formulação proposta para o tratamento da candidíase vaginal

A pesquisa de novas substâncias com atividade anti-Candida é importante devido à ocorrência de resistência por parte de algumas destas espécies aos antifúngicos usuais. Araújo e colaboradores (2009) comprovaram a atividade antifúngica do extrato de Syngonanthus nitens e torna-se relevante a proposta de formulações e o estudo destas. O objetivo geral deste trabalho foi a avaliação da liberação, permeação e retenção na mucosa vaginal in vitro de formulação (creme) contendo o extrato de Syngonanthus nitens, em comparação com outra formulação proposta (gel), para averiguar qual das formulações apresenta mais vantagens para o tratamento da candidíase. Foi validado um método analítico para quantificação do extrato de S. nitens por espectrofotômetro UV-VIS utilizando o padrão luteolina. Os parâmetros analíticos utilizados para avaliar a credibilidade do método analítico foram: seletividade e especificidade, linearidade, limite de quantificação, precisão, exatidão e robustez. O método analítico proposto mostrou-se satisfatório: apresentou seletividade e especificidade; linearidade (os pontos obtidos nas concentrações de 5 a 30 µg/mL apresentaram-se lineares e com um ótimo coeficiente de correlação linear: 0,99996); precisão e exatidão; robustez; e o limite de quantificação foi de 0,5 µg/mL, com coeficiente de variação menor que 5%. Além disso, foram realizados testes de estabilidade preliminar e estudos reológicos, e a formulação creme apresentou resultados adequados para o uso proposto e também apresentou estabilidade. Os ensaios de liberação demonstraram que ambas as formulações apresentam cinética de liberação conforme o modelo de Higuchi, ou seja, a velocidade de liberação do fármaco da matriz do sistema se dá por difusão controlada. Desenvolvimento de vasos digestores de amostra para microondas doméstico

The application of microwave radiation on the sample preparation has been expanding increasingly in areas involving decomposition by wet and dry roads, fusion, extraction, acceleration of chemical reactions, for example. Currently, the use of microwave ovens for analytical purposes are recognized for having excellent performance for organic and inorganic samples. In the international market there are several kinds of microwaves oven which adapt the varied purposes, however yet with elevated prices which incapacitate your use as routine equipment in laboratory. Thus, many researchers have been choosing for developing own projects of microwaves oven production or to use domestic oven for the laboratory, with or without adaptations. For the evaluation of the proposed method was used in the Kjeldahl methodology for determining total nitrogen in samples of crude protein, using a domestic microwave oven and a digester pot made up in TeflonTM and distillation by steam. Were made to adapt and characterization of a domestic microwave oven, the confeccion vessel digester and the metal support for the vessel. The accuracy of the proposed method was confirmed by comparison of two methods, the standard method for conventional heating and by the proposed method, with heating by microwave radiation through the calculated values of relative standard deviation analysis
