In special education, high skills designate people who demonstrate the capability, potential or performance in human activities, well above average. Our objective, using neuroscience to understand the early, prodigies, geniuses and high abilities as a result of a unique process of memory formation. It is a literature search, in which the works were identified, located, compiled, analyzed and blacklisted. The material was located from keywords in databases. For the compilation were used as inclusion criteria, adopted the intersection of the keywords as well as the work of researchers from education, psychology and neuroscience, published between 1966 and 2009; qualitatively analyzed 40 references, 18 articles and 22 other texts. The trajectory analysis was developed with the question: no need to explain differently the precocious prodigies, geniuses, and AH? We reached three logical propositions. We demonstrate through this exercise of course, that there would be no need to explain differently the precocious prodigies, geniuses, and AH, but conclude that there is need for such differentiation, even within the field of neuroscience, however, the statement above points to Renzulli’s theory as valid for geniuses and AH, with exceptions for early and wonders that deserve a closer look.

Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), which is studied since 1938, is a technique used in medicine to produce high quality images from inside the human body. These images are produced non-invasively and without ionizing radiation. In addition, MRI is an extremely flexible technique, with which it is possible to produce images with different contrasts that provide different information about the anatomy, structure and function of the human body, and it is therefore one of the techniques preferred by radiologists. The phenomenon of MRI is based on the interaction of magnetic fields with the nuclear spins of the scanned sample. In this work a detailed study of the technique of magnetic resonance imaging is presented, with a description of the main features of the images produced by the technique and an analysis of its application to the fields of applications Neurology and Neuroscience

The aim of this paper is to present aspects of the prominent findings of neuroscience in relation to psychological phenomena long studied in psychology. One of the basic points of this presentation is to show briefly the relationship between the anatomical and physiological structures linked to certain human behavior resulting from the evolution of species and the socio-emotional development of the individual.

The aim of this paper is to present an educational proposal with didactic and pedagogical orientations, to the Science Education for people with visual impairments. Then, we use as main reference, Gérard Vergnaud’s Theory of Conceptual Fields, joining with a translational focus, applying empirical results of Cognitive Neuroscience. Within this, we highlight the role of educational activities related with 'multisensory scientific literacy ', focusing on the linguistic triad: read, interpretation and textual representation. We hope this perspective, become in the future an important component on guidelines for composing a 'semiotic protocol' for Science Education. Realizing too, epistemological peculiarities, pedagogic and didactic specificities in this area, and, revealing such properties on the cognitive constructs, for science and technology education.

This paper presents a brief review of theoretical studies on the stimulation and brain development. We also addressed questions about its plasticity, its influence on learning and behavior of the individual in interaction with the environment. Studies clearly show that the brain does not go into decline as we age. In this sense, a new discovery in neuroscience has revealed that the brain maintains the ability to grow and change the pattern of its connections to death. Findings such as these form the basis of neurobics. Demonstrating the importance of a relevant application of appropriate stimuli to change the morphology and function of neurons, the technique can be applied in different ways, ie, clinical, behavioral and neurological. Furthermore it can be applied during all phases of human development

Nowadays, meditation had become larger than the mystic’s scope, entering the academy through the scientific interest in this topic. Results documented for so many centuries or the experienced monks that practice meditation for a long time are the aims for researches that want, ultimately, establish the real effects of such techniques upon the human body. Research has gone far, and many effects can be evaluated using more precise methods, specially in the medical field and neuroscience, which had greatly backed up new discoveries about the correlation between the mind, emotions, thoughts and the body, making so that mediation can walk the therapeutic ways and complementary health with more certainty and reliable results, as it is happening with acupuncture and yoga. Facing a promising scenario in the correlation between meditation and life’s quality, well being sensation and happiness, there is the possibility of using it in schools, since because of the difficulties and present challenges, those factors are not commonly associated with the acts of teaching and learning, and acupuncture and Yoga have more restrictions because of their own limitations of time and space necessary for their wide application. Therefore, the current study focused on contextualizing the meditation’s fundaments in the scientific perspective, and apply it, even if qualitatively, in two schools of Rio Claro municipality, researching 57 students from Educação de Jovens e Adultos (EJA). Therefore, it was chosen only one meditation tecnique to be applied on the treatment group. As for the control group, it perfomed normal breathing, i.e., without tecniques. The differences were then analyzed through the filmings of all the sessions of the meetings, counting the number of movements and the agitation among the students for the two groups. Agressividade humana e animal acima dos padrões comportamentais esperados têm sido noticiados constantemente pela mídia e revistas especializadas na área de neurociência e neurocomportamento, sendo que várias causas tem sido atribuídas a este desvio, incluindo modificações dos padrões de relações sociais, situações levando a aumento do estresse (ES), substâncias químicas poluentes ambientais, etc. Em toxicologia já se conhece bem o fato de que aumento do estresse pode levar a aumento de comportamentos como ansiedade e agressividade. A Ayahuasca (Ay) é uma beberagem indígena que foi liberada no Brasil e em alguns outros países, para utilização em rituais religiosos. Vários estudos observacionais com humanos têm informado que a Ay poderia diminuir a agressividade, mas não existem dados experimentais concretos sobre esta possibilidade. Neste estudo objetivou-se avaliar o efeito da Ay na agressividade de animais experimentais recebendo estresse por contenção. Para os experimentos três grupos de animais (N=8), respectivamente controle (Ct), recebendo estresse por contenção (ES) e recebendo estresse por contenção mais Ayahuasca (ES+Ay), foram testados para o comportamento de agressividade utilizando o paradigma do animal residente/intruso. Os resultados obtidos demonstram que o grupo ES apresentou alterações dos parâmetros testados para agressividade e que no grupo ES+Ay estes parâmetros estavam normalizados. Conclui-se que a Ayahuasca conseguiu impedir a agressividade aumentada provocada pelo estresse por imobilização.

This work has as its theme the role of emotions and affectivity in learning, particularly in science learning, being developed from a literature review. We start from the idea that learning occurs through changes in the neural networks of each individual and that these changes are caused by a combination of genetic and biological factors also influenced by emotions and affectivity. We seek information on the functioning of the human brain, highlighting the neuroanatomy and neurocognition, to understand how the brain processes information, including the feelings and emotions experienced by the individual. Once we try to understand which roles are assigned to the feelings and emotions in different learning theories, emphasizing the cognitive and humanistic theories. Finally, we found some more recent contributions to the understanding of the learning process, to the field of neuroscience. We were led to conclude that there is great scope for research in applied neuroscience to education, since the work, especially in the national literature are still scarce
