What is the relationship of a pacifier as for nutrition, speech, dental and psychotherapy? What are its benefits and harm? Which strategies should be developed as a teaching material which can guide employees and teachers of early childhood education regarding the use of pacifier in schools? The survey is a qualitative and an exploratory one. By taking literature as a starting point. We found out that there are many doubts regarding the use of pacifier, even among health professionals. The booklet was prepared containing topics such as: social and historical aspects; psycho-physiological aspects of development, speech therapy and dental aspects; pros and cons of using a pacifier; teaching materials on the pedagogical use of pacifiers. Elaboração de cartilha para orientação de professores sobre o aluno com fissura labiopalatina

Esta pesquisa buscou investigar estudos voltados à imagem corporal e relacioná-los a crianças com fissura lábiopalatina a fim de elaborar um material pedagógico que sirva de recurso para o professor do nível básico, na compreensão, na integração escolar e na aprendizagem de crianças com tal deformidade. A pesquisa realizada é de natureza Qualitativa, do tipo exploratória. Através da revisão da literatura constatamos que a imagem que a criança tem de si é muito importante para seu desenvolvimento; as crianças portadoras de fissura lábiopalatina necessitam do olhar atento dos educadores em relação a sua imagem corporal, pois isso pode influenciar na sua vida escolar e no seu desenvolvimento. Para isto, problematiza-se a imagem corporal como influência nas relações, cognitivas e pessoais, de crianças na escola, principalmente as nascidas com essa malformação. A cartilha foi construída contendo temas como: O que é a fissura lábiopalatina, Etiologia, Tratamento, Prevalência, Problemas decorrentes, A Imagem Corporal dessas crianças, o significado do ambiente escolar e o professor para elas, aspectos cognitivos que as envolvem, Locais de Tratamento da fissura, entre outros.

Parcerias entre municípios paulistas e a esfera privada para a aquisição de sistemas de ensino apostilados na educação infantil

This paper analyses the partnership among cities of São Paulo „state and the private sector to acquire material for children school. Our study was based on data gathered during the research “Municipal Strategy to the offering of the basic education: Public-Private relationship analysis in the São Paulo „state”, supported by FAPESP. The results, confirming previous works (ADRIÃO, 2007 e 2008), show that the join on this kind of partnership grew from 2006 and will become a tendency in the Educational system, even on the education step where it have been discussed about the standardization of the pedagogic material.

Gymnastics for all or General Gymnastics is a gymnastic body practice without competitive purposes, demonstrative character that combines the basics of gymnastics with different forms of body language. It is a pleasurable physical activity and inclusive, within the gymnastic possibilities offers great opportunities for participation of people, creativity, cooperation and human values experiences (AYOUB, 2003). Within this proposal is, in 2011, the Gymnastic Group UNESP, under the guidance and coordination of teachers Laurita Marconi Schiavon e Silvia Deustch as a project of university extension of the Department of Physical Education, Biosciences Institute of the São Paulo State University / Campus Rio Claro - SP. His working method and choreographic composition based on the proposal of the Gymnastic Group Unicamp, reference in this body practice in Brazil, and their course is in two parts: one for the exploration of all the resources that the teaching materials can provide and the other focused on social interaction of its participants. Therefore the research developed in this study aimed to verify contributions of the participation of members in Gymnastic Group Unesp vocational training thereof, and to verify the relationship and the approach of the members with Gym. The methodological approach adopted for this qualitative research is descriptive, and quantitative and qualitative data collected through questionnaires. The participants were 32 students from different courses at the University, and members of Gymnastic Unesp Group from 2011 to 2013, with the inclusion criteria: 1. minimum of one year of participation in Gymnastic Group Unesp; 2. Minimum of two performances of choreography in events with that group. História e Filosofia da Biologia como ferramenta no ensino de evolução na formação inicial de professores de Biologia

By establishing a relationship among several sections of Biology, the theory of the evolution enables a more systemized and less fragmented education of this science. However, students seem to have difficulties of understanding the concept of biological evolution, by virtue of misunderstanding conceptual and historical data present in textbooks, among other causes. One of these mentioned distortions is the shock between Lamarck and Darwin’s ideas. We aimed, in this work, to investigate the understanding of Biology’s students in pre-service teachers education concerning the Lamarck and Darwin’s theories at different moments of the Evolution discipline. For this, some steps had been followed: 1) Verification of the previous conceptions; 2) Elaboration of a pedagogical material, containing diverse historical texts of primary and secondary sources; 3) Debates in two didactic modules, using the pedagogical material elaborated; 4) Analysis of the conceptions constructed by the students, from the didactic intervention. The results obtained show the preconceptions of the students interviewed, concerning the Lamarck and Darwin’s theories, resemble the explanations presented in textbooks and the insertion of historical texts in the Evolution lessons can be an interesting strategy to construction of knowledge of this theme

Mídia-educação no ensino médio: uma experiência com alunos e professores

This paper describes the development of educational materials on media education as a result of workshops held for students and teachers of high school in Midialab – Media Education Laboratory of Universidade Sagrado Coração. The objectives of this exploratory research were to investigate how teachers and students learn about media, looking for similarities and differences in the performance of the two groups in order to make it possible to conclude what methodology frameworks had a best result for promoting the media literacy of each group, taking on account the characteristics of public school and the paradigms of international media literacy. The methodology involved the application of activities focusing on six strategies: textual analysis, contextual analysis, content analysis, case study, translation, simulation and production. The results suggested that such activities are a productive way to develop critical reading skill and to reduce the differences between teachers and students’ repertoire. They also presented good results in the development of language usage by them and promoted collaborative learning, in a social approach.

Textura do recurso pedagógico e implicações em atividade de encaixe realizada por indivíduos com paralisia cerebral

O estudo teve o propósito de verificar a influência da textura do recurso pedagógico no tempo despendido e no índice de retidão para execução de uma atividade de encaixe realizada por indivíduos com paralisia cerebral. Participaram do estudo 6 alunos com sequelas de paralisia cerebral do tipo espástica, com idade entre 7 anos e 8 meses e 28 anos e 1 mês. O participante deveria segurar o objeto e levá-lo a um ponto demarcado previamente para o encaixe e, após, retorná-lo à posição inicial. O objeto foi apresentado nas texturas lisa, intermediária e áspera, de forma aleatória. Para a coleta de dados, foi utilizada filmagem para posterior leitura pelo programa Kavideo, que possibilitou cálculos para observar o tempo despendido na tarefa e o índice de retidão. Foi realizado o estudo da normalidade das distribuições, verificada por meio do teste de normalidade de Kolmogorov-Smirnov (Teste KS) e a comparação entre as texturas lisa, intermediária e áspera, no movimento de encaixe, por meio da análise de variância de medidas repetidas. Adotou-se para todos os testes nível de significância de 5% de probabilidade para a rejeição da hipótese de normalidade. O resultado do teste de análise de variância de medidas repetidas mostrou que não houve significância para as variáveis estudadas com o recurso apresentado nas três texturas. Porém, os dados da estatística descritiva mostraram que o encaixe do recurso com a textura lisa despendeu um menor tempo para execução da tarefa e, também, determinou um melhor desempenho com relação à trajetória do movimento.
