The establishment of Extractivism and Sustainable Development Reserves comes from an amazon forestry people resistance initiative. It means an option of natural resources management as protected areas for agroextractivism purposes. According to the institutional point of view, these lands, called Conservation Unity for Sustainable Exploration, belong to the government which grants the usufruct rights to the agroextractivist families under a sharing territory administration agreement among government and rural communities. The main roles of these lands are both: to improve the dwellers wellbeing, and protecting the local biodiversity. Additionally, they also represent the start of this thesis theme entitled Development, sustainability, and biodiversity conservation in the Amazon region: the use of protected areas for agroextractivism domestic yield in south of Amapá state with the objective of analyzing the performance that each territory has been reaching in terms of the attributions proposed at the beginning, when they were created. Social, economics, and environment changes that occurred in the agroextractivist areas have been evaluated from two selected test sites, named Rio Cajari Extractivist Reserve and Rio Iratapuru Sustainable Reserve, both, localized in the south of Amapá state

Advocating education as a humanizing task, the humanizing function of literature and the importance of scientific education, this paper proposes linking Science and Literature in Science Teaching using two specific books of Monteiro Lobato in the final series of elementary school level. Adopting the action research methodology, an interdisciplinary approach, we used the books A Reforma da Natureza and Serões de Dona Benta in two classes (8th and 9th) at Escola Estadual Professor José Mamede, located in the town of Tibau do Sul, Rio Grande do Norte. The readings were performed in Portuguese Language s course and the scientific content were discussed in Science´s classrooms. The book A Reforma da Natureza permitted to approach issues related to the environment, while the use of Serões de Dona Benta showed particularly its effectiveness in questioning the concepts of matter, mass, weight and some questions about the Nature of Science (NOS). In general, the analysis of results shows that the readings of these two books permitted interaction and dialogicity in the classroom, as well as indicates the potential of these books in contextualing and questioning the scientific content contained in it. We advise, however, the need for the science teacher be aware of the conceptual mistakes present in literary works, avoiding erroneous learning and reinforcement of alternative conceptions

Ising and m-vector spin-glass models are studied, in the limit of infinite-range in-teractions, through the replica method. First, the m-vector spin glass, in the presence of an external uniform magnetic field, as well as of uniaxial anisotropy fields, is consi-dered. The effects of the anisotropics on the phase diagrams, and in particular, on the Gabay-Toulouse line, which signals the transverse spin-glass ordering, are investigated. The changes in the Gabay-Toulouse line, due to the presence of anisotropy fields which favor spin orientations along the Cartesian axes (m = 2: planar anisotropy; m = 3: cubic anisotropy), are also studied. The antiferromagnetic Ising spin glass, in the presence of uniform and Gaussian random magnetic fields, is investigated through a two-sublattice generalization of the Sherrington-Kirpaktrick model. The effects of the magnetic-field randomness on the phase diagrams of the model are analysed. Some confrontations of the present results with experimental observations available in the literature are discussed
