This work presents a modelling and identification method for a wheeled mobile robot, including the actuator dynamics. Instead of the classic modelling approach, where the robot position coordinates (x,y) are utilized as state variables (resulting in a non linear model), the proposed discrete model is based on the travelled distance increment Delta_l. Thus, the resulting model is linear and time invariant and it can be identified through classical methods such as Recursive Least Mean Squares. This approach has a problem: Delta_l can not be directly measured. In this paper, this problem is solved using an estimate of Delta_l based on a second order polynomial approximation. Experimental data were colected and the proposed method was used to identify the model of a real robot

We propose a robotics simulation platform, named S-Educ, developed specifically for application in educational robotics, which can be used as an alternative or in association with robotics kits in classes involving the use of robotics. In the usually known approach, educational robotics uses robotics kits for classes which generally include interdisciplinary themes. The idea of this work is not to replace these kits, but to use the developed simulator as an alternative, where, for some reason, the traditional kits cannot be used, or even to use the platform in association with these kits. To develop the simulator, initially, we conducted research in the literature on the use of robotic simulators and robotic kits, facing the education sector, from which it was possible to define a set of features considered important for creating such a tool. Then, on the software development phase, the simulator S-Educ was implemented, taking into account the requirements and features defined in the design phase. Finally, to validate the platform, several tests were conducted with teachers, students and lay adults, in which it was used the simulator S-Educ, to evaluate its use in educational robotics classes. The results show that robotic simulator allows a reduction of financial costs, facilitate testing and reduce robot damage inherent to its use, in addition to other advantages. Furthermore, as a contribution to the community, the proposed tool can be used to increase adhesion of Brazilian schools to the methodologies of educational robotics or to robotics competitions

We propose an online configurable multiplatform development environment specifically developed for educational robotics applications. The environment, which appears as an extension of RoboEduc software, allows the programming of several programmable robots to be performed using the R-Educ language. We make it possible for the user to program in the language R-Educ and then translate the code to a language previously registered, compiled and then sent or executed by the robot. To develop this work, we conducted a bibliographic research about the main programming languages used in robotics, as well as their definitions and paradigms, from which it was possible to define a set of patterns considered important for the creation of this environment. Then, in the software development phase, we implemented the development environment, bearing in mind the requirements and functionality defined in the design phase. Finally, to validate the platform, we conducted some trials of programming languages and verificate if the complete cycle was satisfied - registration of language, programming in R-Educ, compilation for the registered language, compilation to the machine code and send the code for the robot

Quadrotors aircraft are composed by four propellers mounted on four engines on a cross or x disposition, and, in this structure, the engines on the same arm spin in the same direction and the other arm in the opposite direction. By rotating each helix generates vertical upward thrust. The control is done by varying the rotational speed of each motor. Among the advantages of this type of vehicle can cite the mechanical simplicity of construction, the high degree of maneuverability and the ability to have vertical takeoffs and landings. The modeling and control of quadrirrotores have been a challenge due to problems such as nonlinearity and coupling between variables. Several strategies have been developed to control this type of vehicle, from the classical control to modern. There are air surveillance applications where a camera is fixed on the vehicle to point forward, where it is desired that the quadrotor moves at a fixed altitude toward the target also pointing forward, which imposes an artificial constraint motion, because it is not desired that it moves laterally, but only forwards or backwards and around its axes . This restriction is similar to the naturally existing on robots powered by wheels with differential drive, which also can not move laterally, due to the friction of the wheels. Therefore, a position control strategy similar to that used in this type of robot could be adapted for aerial robots like quadrotor. This dissertation presents and discusses some strategies for the control of position and orientation of quadrotors found in the literature and proposes a strategy based on dynamic control of mobile robots with differential drive, called the variable reference control. The validity of the proposed strategy is demonstrated through computer simulations

Understood in a project of transvaluation of values, the joy is one of the central themes of the thought of Friedrich Nietzsche and Clément Rosset. Opposed to the dogmatic philosophy that moralize and robs your strength to think of it as "happiness", evaluated, in short, a target linked to virtue and rationality these thinkers propose a perspective that makes the joy of point to an instance extraterrestrial and back to the earth, to the body. In this vein, beyond the oppositions of values constitutive of metaphysics dogmatic, the joy and suffering are conceived as elements that are not mutually exclusive, they are complementary as foundations of a gaia(ta) science, based in laughter and friendship. Currently one of the major concerns in sports is to identify, select, discover and reveal talents in soccer. As principal reasons is perceived the search direct or indirect for resources for players, clubs, media, sports brands and their sponsors. However, high salaries are an exception and not a rule, because the majority of professional players in Brazil receives 1 minimum salary per month. It is also known that on professional clubs, daily, arriving several players to try to be a professional soccer player, however, the majority of clubs - almost all does not present methodological, systematic and analytical aspects to select promising players. The selective processes ("sieves" or "big sieves") developed by technical observers ( olheiros") summarized in the observation of the sportive performance of a big group of players in a period of few minutes given to each player. In this period the target behavior is the ability with the ball. If promising players are identified on that selection, they are referred to the club for a new observation, which will be conducted by the responsible coach of base category in question. It is understood by base categories, the amateur categories (not professional), to serve as a "base" for the formation of the cast of professional clubs. What are sub-13 (under 13 years), sub-15 (under 15 years), sub-17 (under 17 years) and sub-20 (under 20 years). The absence of common criterias and performance indicators of these professionals may hamper the evaluation of promising players, and be a costly activity for the club. This study proposes to identify, characterize and categorize the criterias and methods of behavioral evaluation, used by coaches of base categories of Rio Grande do Norte (RN) to evaluate the sportive performance of young soccer players, with the purpose of to compare the criterias of evaluation of sportive performance of young soccer players, used by coaches with different time of experience in function. The proposal had 2 pilot studies, the first (June and July, 2007) were interviewed 29 coaches, 17 of category sub-13 and 12 of category sub-17. The data were tabulated and organized into spreadsheets in order to describe, and developed a set of descriptors of behavior. And the second (May and June, 2008), with revisions made based on observations, analysis and descriptions found in the first, were interviewed 14 technical of category sub-15. After the results found in pilots, it was possible to outline the study in question, which had 46 coaches base categories of the RN. And from the results show that the characteristic of greatest importance, according to the interviewees was the behavior, the 2nd most important characteristic considered was the motivation, the 3rd was the ability and the 4th was the physical condition and the last was the affiliation. And by analyzing the results to the methods of evaluation of sportive performance used by coaches, it was noted clearly that most uses only the observation to select young soccer players. Therefore, needs a systematization to the selection of soccer players, since there is complexity in the verification of characteristics and aspects involved with purpose to avoid wrong evaluations and selections and the results negligible

This master thesis aimed to investigate how the power relations operating in the tourism social processes, have shaped the urbanization of Ponta Negra district, Natal, Rio Grande do Norte - RN. The study assumes that the production of space is the result of global phenomena individualized by local forces a process of glocalization. The method used was the case study. It used primary and secondary data and information were treated using the technique of content analysis. The urbanization of Ponta Negra is inserted in the context of global process triggered in the 1970s. The Park of Dunas and Costeira Highway (PD/VC) urbanization project marks the beginning of the Tourisms since 1979. The period in focus was 1979 to 2009. The tourism was dived into four major sections time: tourism in Natal before the Coastal Highway (1939-1979); Project Parque das Dunas / Coastal Highway to the first boom in domestic tourism (1979 - 1990); the internationalization of tourism (1991-2000) and, of first "boom" to "decline" of international tourism (2001-2009). Based on the historical evolution of the tourism were elected three different social processes, able to demonstrate how relations of social forces brought in space act on them and help shape the process of urbanization of the neighborhood in question: The removal of beach hut , the soccer field Botafogo Football Club and the skyscrapers . Finally, it should summarize the research identified interests and conflicts among the actors that form the thrust of spatial transformations: cultural conflicts resulting from the imposition of social practices that differ from the taste of native; clashes between different groups that reflect the duality between use value and exchange value; and interests in land values. In addition, demonstrated that the social relations that involve the production of the area are stimulated by deep-seated societal processes historically and camouflaged by market relations and a modern facade that the city has acquired in recent times; revealed that the actors are linked in networks to increase their influence and that this influence varies mainly according to economic and political power that they or their associates hold

The study aims to examine the planning, the construction and uses of the stadium Presidente Castelo Branco (Castelão), opened in Natal, capital of Rio Grande do Norte, in 1972. Used as main sources of documents printed newspapers A República, Tribuna do Norte e Diário de Natal; photographs of the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s and, finally, an interview with Moacyr Gomes da Costa, architect responsible for building the stadium Castelão. Seeks to understand the changes and continuities stemming from the construction of this stadium for football history and the city. Articulated in the text the inauguration of the stadium with the process of commodification and massification of football norte-rio-grandense, that occurred from the 1970s. Indicates the places where they practiced football in Natal before the construction of a stadium and analyzes the historical needs that led to the construction of a sports square. Discusses the transformation of football matches in shows profit, which now involve large economic interests. Investigates how political potiguares made use of football stadiums as a mechanism of legitimation and realize this debate with the performances of Djalma Maranhão and the Cortez Pereira, that at different times using this mechanism. Search elements that favored the popularization experienced by football potiguar from the 1970s, the role of the sports press this process and the emergence organized supporters

Atualmente com o crescente aumento de dispositivos robóticos destinados para aplicação na área de mobilidade de pessoas que sofreram algum tipo de lesão medular, se faz necessário desenvolver novas ferramentas para tornar tais equipamentos mais adaptáveis, seguros e autônomos. Para que as órteses robóticas que auxiliam na locomoção de pessoas paraplégicas possam desempenhar sua função, estas devem ser capazes de reproduzir os movimentos perdidos com o máximo de fidelidade e segurança em ambientes que eventualmente possam conter obstáculos de diferentes tipos como buracos, escadas e calçadas. As órteses robóticas para membros inferiores têm a capacidade de caminhar, subir e descer degraus, todavia, esses movimentos, na maioria das vezes, não se adaptam ao ambiente, sendo assim, para uma órtese robótica que foi projetada para subir um degrau com uma determinada altura ao se deparar com um degrau maior provavelmente não conseguirá realizar essa tarefa com a mesma segurança. Para solucionar esse e outros problemas, esse trabalho apresenta um Sistema de Auxílio à Locomoção (SAL) dotado de um planejador de passos e um gerador de referências angulares com características antropomórficas para a órtese robótica Ortholeg. O SAL utiliza dados antropométricos do usuário para gerar um padrão de marcha personalizado, dessa forma, a órtese em questão é capaz de adaptar o tamanho do passo para não colidir com obstáculos presentes no ambiente e transpor buracos com diversos tamanhos, subir e descer escadas e calçadas com diferentes valores de altura e comprimento. Para desenvolver o sistema de auxílio à locomoção foram adaptadas técnicas de planejamento de caminho, usadas a princípio em robôs bípedes. São apresentados vários experimentos que mostram a órtese Ortholeg realizando alguns movimentos com características antropomórficas para diferentes distâncias de caminhada e três tipos de obstáculos: degrau, buraco e calçada. A autonomia adquirida com a utilização do sistema de planejamento apresentado facilita a utilização de órteses robóticas como também garante uma maior segurança ao usuário.
