Before the scenario full of criticism about a medical model that gives privilege to the diseases and not to the diseased, there are many arguments that defend the need of redeem the humanized relationship between doctor and patient. It became indispensable to mold during the medical graduation a professional capable of perform a special care, less instrumental and more humanized; however, even though the advances of the pedagogical program of the medical graduation, we still face numerous challenges in the process of molding. This study has as general goal to understand if the students medicine experience with the Integrative Community Therapy (TCI) at the Primary Attention APS/Family Healthy Strategy-ESF, presents potential to configure itself while strategy of teaching-learning to the integral and humanized care. It was held a qualitative research with the students of the medical graduation from the tenth to the twelfth semester that had experience with the TCI, as part of the Boarding of Family and Community Medicine MFC. We used interviews with script and we resorted to analyze the narratives to Gadamerian Hermeneutics. It was possible to find that before join the boarding of MFC, the students were unaware the TCI and their preconceptions lined up with depreciated character. The experience with the TCI enabled the reframing of the prejudices and the build of new concepts. Internship in ESF and participate of TCI revealed potential to learning of the humanized care by the practical exercise with experiences that privilege the built of ties; the autonomy of the patient; the fulfillment of the longitudinality at the care of the patient; the acknowledgment of the power of resilience of the patients, at the strength of the collective, at the pain sharing, at the strength of a good communication, at the gains of qualified listening exercise. The absence of models of what to do was replaced by experiences of pains and joys at the learning of becoming a doctor. The pains spoke of the structural difficulties (inputs), at the get along with the socials vulnerabilities of the users and the difficult of perform a good communication with the patients. The joys were experienced at the finding of the humanized care exercise. Questions as structural difficulties, low number of people with TCI degree, a shortly experience of with TCI, show up as limitations to its utilization as pedagogical tool. In turn, the reflective potential is capable of cause resignifications about the know-how before the pain of the other being very much present at the narratives, signaling the potential of the learning of TCI. Therefore, this study advocate that the participation of the students at the TCI, beyond the power of offering the students a teaching-learning strategy to the humanized care, represents the possibility of enlarge the horizons of those future doctors at a glance much more conscious of the difficulties and potential of a professional at the ESF, contributing to the graduation of more sensitized professionals and prepared to perform an integral and humanized approach of the person and his/her community, contributing to an APS/ESF more resolute and rewarding to everyone.

Arquitetura em cidades sempre novas: modernismo, projeto e patrimnio. Com essa chamada, a 4 edio do encontro DOCOMOMO Norte-Nordeste, realizado na Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, em Natal, no perodo de 29 de maio a 02 de junho de 2012, reuniu um conjunto de trabalhos, mesas e conferncias para pensar o processo de renovao arquitetnica e urbana de nossas cidades partindo da questo central de que o gosto pelo novo, pela novidade, torna rapidamente obsoleto aquilo que, quando surgiu, tambm era novo, moderno. O encontro contemplou uma diversidade de enfoques distribuda em trs eixos temticos:1) A arquitetura moderna como projeto; 2) experincias de conservao e transformao; e 3)narrativas historiogrficas, na observao da especificidade da arquitetura, do urbanismo e do paisagismo no Brasil. Este livro, se organiza segundo cinco abordagens que esto subjacentes aos trs eixos temticos acima mencionados: a) trajetrias profissionais; b) a presena modernista em cidades brasileiras; c) a documentao, conservao, projeto e restauro; d) reflexes sobre a produo modernista e, finalmente, e) a tecnologia e desempenho. Para cada abordagem, foram selecionados alguns trabalhos representativos apresentados na ocasio. Espera-se contribuir, com esse livro, para o debate sobre a aparente ou, para muitos, real contradio entre a necessidade de renovao constante de nosso ambiente construdo afinal, a arquitetura e a cidade so por natureza dinmicas e a necessidade de preservao, particularmente do legado modernista inscrito em nossa paisagem urbana, ameaado de extino pelo descaso, pelo abandono ou pela transformao descabida.

The purpose of this research is to study the portable or reassemblable architectures, which, different from conventional architecture (whose designs are of permanent buildings), corresponds to the designing of spaces with temporary purposes. The focus of the study is the architectural design of spaces that are produced from building systems that can to be moved to different places (process of assembly / disassembly / reassembly) in order to identify the types of spaces generated and the processes used in their design / projecting. The aim is to investigate relationships between the initial project conceived based on a Reassemblable Construction System (RCS) and its application in the architectural design of professionals and students in order to contribute to the understanding of the specificities of this type of design activity. To this end it was developed the exploratory research based on multimedia methods, which includes: documentary analysis, technical visits, interviews, surveys, academic exercise and documentation by images. Although the study is not conclusive, the results indicate significant differences between the point of view of the RCSs designers and its users (architects and architecture students) since the users demonstrated to have some difficulty to access the features provided for the first group, in particular the students. It is also demonstrated that the use of RCSs seems to change the appreciation / hierarchization of the conditions of project design, since, unlike what happens in traditional architectural design, the designers who use them seem to be more concerned with constructive issues, especially the structural elements (support and covering), instead of functionality, aesthetics and even physical characteristics of the site

The urban growth without the prior infrastructure has caused many environmental impacts such as the damage to quality of the water resources in the cities. Along with natural scarcity in some regions, this is one of the factors that limit the availability of drinking water. As a result, the conservation of drinking water is becoming one of the major concerns in sustainable architectural projects. Within this context, this dissertation proposes to develop the design of an educational building focusing on water consumption rationalization. The proposed project is located in UFRN Campus at Currais Novos, an area of warm and dry climate and low rainfall. The proposal seeks to integrate ways to reduce water consumption o to architecture, in order to exploit the advantages and savings. After quantifying the benefits achieved, it was concluded that it is possible to reduce significantly the drinking water consumption in educational buildings in universities using three principles: reduction the water consumption at the point of use, replacement of the water source and internal recycling. Calculations and simulations indicated that the proposed building may have water consumption up to 56% lower than if it would be provided by conventional facilities. Rationalization of water consumption brings direct and indirect benefits, with influences on the environmental, social and economic fields

This paper examines, through case studies, the organization of the production process of architectural projects in architecture offices in the city of Natal, specifically in relation to building projects. The specifics of the design process in architecture, the production of the project in a professional field in Natal, are studied in light of theories of design and its production process. The survey, in its different phases, was conducted between March 2010 and September 2012 and aimed to identify, understand, and analyze comparatively, by mapping the design process, the organization of production of building projects in two offices in Natal, checking as well the relationships of their agents during the process. The project was based on desk research and exploration, adopting, for both, data collection tools such as forms, questionnaires, and interviews. With the specific aim of mapping the design process, we adopted a technique that allows obtaining the information directly from employee agents involved in the production process. The technique consisted of registering information by completing daily, during or at the end of the workday, an individual virtual agenda, in which all agent collaborators described the tasks performed. The data collected allowed for the identification of the organizational structure of the office, its hierarchy, the responsibilities of agents, as well as the tasks performed by them during the two months of monitoring at each office. The research findings were based on analyses of data collected in the two offices and on comparative studies between the results of these analyses. The end result was a diagnostic evaluation that considered the level of organization and elaborated this perspective, as well as proposed solutions aimed at improving both the organization of the process and the relationships between the agents under the lens analyzed

The necessity of the insertion of the capital of Rio Grande do Norte in the world-wide commercial scene and its claim as the seat of political power, in ends of nineteenth and beginning of twentieth century, determined the direction of urban interventions undertaken by government to restructure the city. In that matter, there were several actions of improvements and embellishment in Natal, which had, as a starting point, the adequacy works of the port, located in the Ribeira quarter, with the aim of ending the physical isolation that reinforced its economic stagnation. Besides the problems faced in the opening bar of the Potengi River, and would complement the required improvements, other barriers demonstrate the tension established between the physic-geographic field and the man: the flooded and slope which connected Cidade Alta and Ribeira the first two quarters of the city.The execution of these works demanded knowledge whose domain and application it was for engineering. But, how the actions done for the engineers, in sense to transform natural areas into constructed spaces made possible the intentional conformation of the quarter of the Ribeira in a commercial and politician-administrative center, in the middle of the XIX century and beginning of the XX? Understand, therefore, the employment effects of technology on the physical-geographical Ribeira, is the objective of this work that uses theoretical and methodological procedures of Urban Environmental History, by analyzing the relationship between the environment and the man, mediated by knowledge and use of technologies. The documental research was used, as primary sources, the Messages of the Provincial Assembly Government that later became the Legislative Assembly of Rio Grande do Norte reports and articles on specialized publications, in addition to local newspapers. The work is structured in five chapters. First, some comments about Urban Environmental History (Chapter 1) supplemented with analysis of the conceptual construction of nature in the Contemporary Era and its application in the city (chapter 02), the following chapters (03 and 04) deal with the rise of engineers as a active group in the Brazilian government frameworks and their vision about the nature inside the urban environment and it is studied how the professional technicians dealt with the improvement work of the harbor and in the shock with the natural forces. Other works that would complement this "project" of modernization and had had natural obstacles to be removed the Ribeira flood and slope constitute the subject of the fifth chapter. Finally, some final considerations retake the initial discussions aiming an association between the technique and the nature as junction elements inside the process of constitution of a Modern Natal

The purpose of this dissertation is the architectural project of the ambulatory complex of the Federal University of Par in Belm. It is a health care establishment whose focus is sustainability, energy efficiency and humanization. This design went through the application of architectural concepts, the study of references (theorical and empirical ones), planning, examining the terrain and its conditions and the preliminay design and resulted in a preliminary architecture blueprint. The empirical research is based on the main building of the Hospital Universitrio Joo de Barros Barreto in Belm, Hospital Sarah Kubitschek of Fortaleza (Architect Joo Filgueiras de Lima - Lel) and Hospital e Maternity So Luiz of So Paulo (Architect Siegbert Zanettini). Part of the planning is based on the method "Problem Seeking of Pena and Parshal (2001)". During the development process I sought to incorporate sustainability criterias, energy efficiency and humanization. In relation to sustainability the dissertation focuses on the utilization of rainwater for non-potable usage

Confirming the Brazilian tendency in the field, the multifamily vertical condominium habitats in Natal are defined as buildings with three or more floors which have been an increasingly used solution. In the mentioned project, the connection between the projectarchitects and the user/ buyers are spread out, by which the first people conceive the realestate property as a creation for the market and not the individual client in specific. Such situation along with technical and financial limitations of the project lead to the adoption of standard solutions to be utilized by clients with different profiles. Besides that, there are various legal and urban parameters by the City Director Plan showing elements of great influence in the final solution adopted by the mentioned edifices. Moving to this subject in general, this project is focused on the case study of the Ed. Ville de Montpellier, having as a base of Post Occupancy Evaluation (POE), considered an efficient tool to analyze and keep up with the progress of the construction of the building, including technical approvals, the application of surveys with the local residents and the creation of informal interviews. The data shows that with time some items that initially motivated the acquisition of the realestate property (with a social common area) move to being less valued, and that the residents quickly alter the pre constructed space, thus seeking to alter the property in a more personal and conforming manner. The possibility of a new emphasis for projects on the mentioned space should also be in discussion, the created project calls for the attention of projected conceptual aspects and interdependence within project and construction which permits the indication of some recommendations for the projection of multifamily residential buildings within the studied realm

Natural air ventilation is the most import passive strategy to provide thermal comfort in hot and humid climates and a significant low energy strategy. However, the natural ventilated building requires more attention with the architectural design than a conventional building with air conditioning systems, and the results are less reliable. Therefore, this thesis focuses on softwares and methods to predict the natural ventilation performance from the point of view of the architect, with limited resource and knowledge of fluid mechanics. A typical prefabricated building was modelled due to its simplified geometry, low cost and occurrence at the local campus. Firstly, the study emphasized the use of computational fluid dynamics (CFD) software, to simulate the air flow outside and inside the building. A series of approaches were developed to make the simulations possible, compromising the results fidelity. Secondly, the results of CFD simulations were used as the input of an energy tool, to simulate the thermal performance under different rates of air renew. Thirdly, the results of temperature were assessed in terms of thermal comfort. Complementary simulations were carried out to detail the analyses. The results show the potentialities of these tools. However the discussions concerning the simplifications of the approaches, the limitations of the tools and the level of knowledge of the average architect are the major contribution of this study

Los estudios cerca de las dificultades en el aprendizaje del contenido de la biologa han sido foco de la investigacin diversa que si ten corido a partir de la dcada de setenta del siglo pasado, en consecuencia al movimiento de las concepciones alternativas (MCA). El estudio que se presenta, se atan con el Departamento de Educao da UFRN - Base de Pesquisa Formao e Profissionalizao Docente, como parte do projeto de pesquisa - A passagem do Ensino Mdio a UFRN: estudos sobre o acesso, a permanncia e a qualidade do Ensino Mdio. Los objetivos de esto investigacin, haban consistido en el identificar del contenido explorado en las cuestiones de las Pruebas de la opcin mltiple del Vestibular de UFRN para el cual los candidatos haban demostrado dificultad en el aprendizaje; para analizar si el contextualizao de la pregunta y la presencia de elementos no-literales que haban influenciado en el aumento de la dificultad de la pregunta e identificar los errores ms frecuentemente por los candidatos en estas pruebas. La tesis si configura en dos dimensiones: 1 - El contenido explorado en las Pruebas del Vestibular de la UFRN si distribuya uniformemente a travs de los aos; sendo priorizados procedimentos que exigem demanda cognitiva diversificadas na soluo de problemas; 2- Nessas provas, os resultados dos candidatos, en relacin con el ndice de Aproveitamento, indican la existencia de reas en las quales hay dficit del aprendizaje; qu envolucran las dificultades en aprender el contenido. Los datos de la investigacin haban sido recogidos al partir de las pruebas de la biologa y de la inicial abstracta selectiva de los informes provedo para el COMPERVE/UFRN, del ltimo los ocho aos (2001-2008). En la direccin alcanzar a los objetivos considerados para este estudio, contenta haba sido construido a las categoras del anlisis - (temas, subtemas y procedimientos); ndice de aproveitamento; contextualizao de la pregunta; estructura de la pregunta y el error. Los resultados, qu si configurn de los anlisis de las ocho pruebas del vestibular de la UFRN y los sesenta y cientos envolvement mil, seiscientos y sesenta y cinco candidatos que le haban contestado; demuestran eso: los temas y los subtemas de la biologa para los cuales las dificultades en aprender si est tenido divulgado sea - gentica (hibridismo; fentipo y genotipo; Leyes de Mendel), biotecnologa (transgnicos; clula-tronco) y citologa (qumica de la vida; divisin celular; membranas) y los procedimientos - identificar, analizar la situacin y aplicar concepto, para correlacionar y para interpretar el grfico; los quais no exigem uma alta demanda cognitiva na soluo dos problemas. La presenca de situaes contextualizadas e de grficos en las questiones de las pruebas influenciou en el aumento dos niveles dificuldade da of questo para a maioria dos candidatos, reiterando as of dificuldades of observadas na of aprendizagem dos procedimentos. Los errores principales cometidos para los candidatos haban consistido en no reconocimiento del estndar de la herencia del gnica - mendelian y despus de-Mendel; no del reconocimiento de los acontecimientos de la divisin celular y de las tcnicas en biotecnologa. stos haban reflejado las dificultades en aprender del contenido para algn contenido y en otros sugieren que tuviera la expresin de los conceptos alternativos que los estudiantes construyen en los conceptos. Los resultados sealan la necesidad de una revisin de las preguntas inherentes didcticas-metodolgicas a la educacin del contenido para las cuales las dificultades en aprender si hay tenido presentado

Este trabajo de pesquisa posee um carcter histrico y documental, teniendo como objetivo la Associao Cultural Ipapetinguense fundada em el ao de 1936, por la dedicacin de los hombres de la lite ganadera se congregarem para la lectura de los peridicos existentes en aquella poca en la villa de Itatinga, actualmente la ciudad de Itapetinga (BA). Conocer la ACI, represent evidenciar sus proyectos direccionados para la cultura y la enseanza, desde su comienzo hasta el ao de 1961, analizando los conocimientos vinculados en esos proyectos. Entre los mismos, examiamos detalladamente a Biblioteca Dr. Orlando Bahia y las iniciativas realizadas para la enseanza: la Escola da ACI, el Curso de Cincias, Letras e Artes, el Ginsio Alfredo Dutra y la Escola Normal Juvino Oliveira, desde el punto de vista de los conocimientos socializados en estas acciones. Entendemos que estos saberes fueron sembrados por la lectura de los libros da la Biblioteca Dr. Orlando Bahia, lo que nos hizo analizar el acervo de la misma, para as percibir que estos libros fueroan los testigos de los conocimientos de los maestros en quel perodo de la histria de la educacin en Itapetinga. Ellos fueron y todavia son, no slo, los portadores de los contenidos y de los saberes enseados, mas los reveladores de un proyeto de la emancipacin educativa y poltica para la villa de Itapetinga. Estudiar la histria de la Associao Cultural Itapetinguense, sus proyetos dedicados para la cultura y para la educacin nos ofreci la posibilidad de conocer la villa de Itapetinga y su trayectoria econmica y social, su desarrollo cultural y el camino recorrido en su emancipacin educativa y poltica. De esta manera, las acciones culturales y educativas impulsionadas por la ACI y direccionadas hacia la villa fueroan la posibilidad del progreso, del esclarecimiento y confirmacin de uma lite en el mbito econmico y social local y de aumento en el mbito de los conocimientos y de la educacin formal del pueblo en su sentido amplio. Las fuentes citadas para la pesquisa fueron, fundamentalmente, los libros de las actas y los estatutos de la ACI, peridicos locales, y libros de registros de prstamo de la Biblioteca Dr. Orlando Bahia, adems de todas las comunicaciones orales em las charlas realizadas

The discussion we have established in this study is about how the practice is developing educational projects based on work with because the methodological choice of the teacher. The study of an ethnographic qualitative approach was conducted with a group of six teachers in two public schools in School Administrative Zone north of the city of Natal / RN. Data were constructed from semi-structured, reinforced by the direct observation of the practice of teaching of teachers. The goals outlined were to identify the reasons why the option for the project, listing the benchmarks that subsidized their construction, the observation of everyday experience in educational planning and development of projects developed. In the light of information we can notice a complex and even contradictory, which is confusing the concepts and practices are weakened. The analysis revealed inconsistencies between theory and practice in working with projects, the fruit of little theoretical development of teachers. The adoption of the project as a methodological option has meant a change in direction of the effective action didactic. Reflects on this situation, it was concluded that there is a need to broaden the understanding of the significance of this type of work, covering the different dimensions that involve the practice of research, research and training of teachers. Even preventing the intentions and initiatives of the teachers, it must be emphasized is the process of learning within an approach that focuses the process of learning in multiple dimensions, inter-relational, both the capabilities of students in the areas of knowledge.
