Traum a dream

"Traum A Dream ... can be designated as activating object, with all lines of thought and action leading through it. Traum A Dream is a film that comes out of a life-long experimental animation practice; a body of work that has been evolving over 35 years. This is now more than half the time I have carried a trace of the trauma in my real and lived-in body, some of the personal events, which I reveal here.
This film was produced at a time when I was coming to terms in my personal life, remembering abuse from childhood. Traum A Dream emerged after an unsuccessful attempt to lay bare that abuse in a previous project, which co-incided with the conclusion of my CD-Rom Diary V 3.2 production."

Fabric of a dream: the Fletcher Jones story

This is the story of how a shell-shocked World War I veteran, who left school at 12, ended up building a national icon. An inspiring man with bold and imaginative ideas, Fletcher Jones was influenced by Japanese reformer Toyohiko Kagawa. Jones established his clothing design, retail and manufacturing business with emphasis on quality, service and innovation. But his primary concern was for people both his customers and his workers and they, in turn, were intensely loyal.

This doctorate consists of a novel and an exegesis, which focus on the topic of intersex; children who are born with variant sex characteristics and the doctors who surgically intervene. The research reveals the deceit surrounding these practices and culminates in the first Australian novel to be written about intersex.

Disturbing the dream of the autonomous subject

This concept-empirical inquiry investigated tensions between practitioners and their clients' significant-others. At its root, this difficulty was found to reflect embedded ideological, professional and organizational factors aligned with the process of individualization, a disposition which renders significant-other relationships as, at best, irrelevant to the professionals' understanding of their project.

Dream dolls : misogyny and political mythology in fin de siecle Australian culture

Examines Australian nationalism from the 1890s onwards through the interaction between cultural stereotypes of the feminine and issues of identity, citizenship and political constructions of "democracy". The employment of an idealised masculine aesthetic as catalyst to creating an imagined state was compared in Australia and Wilhelmine Germany.
