Análisis de las rupturas y continuidades estratégicas en sus ámbitos económico, social y político entre el bloque Élmer Cárdenas de las AUC (2002-2006) y la banda criminal los Urabeños (2006-2010) presentes en el Urabá chocoano

A partir de un análisis comparado, de orden cualitativo, se analiza la existencia de continuidades y rupturas estratégicas entre el Bloque Élmer Cárdenas de las AUC y los Urabeños, con el fin de caracterizar a ambos actores armados. La investigación expone similitudes relevantes entre ambos grupos armados a fin de dilucidar la naturaleza, aun discutida, de las llamadas bandas criminales y su relación con los predecesores bloques paramilitares, además de la incidencia en las actividades económicas, la población civil y el poder político.

Jano y las caras opuestas de los derechos humanos de los pueblos indígenas

Este libro busca presentar a la comunidad académica nacional e internacional uno de los productos de trabajo de investigación del Observatorio de Redes y Acción Colectiva (ORAC) en su línea de trabajo sobre procesos transnacionales y derechos de los pueblos indígenas. Sus páginas ponen a disposición del lector un conocimiento sustantivo, fundado en investigaciones sociales, sobre la participación de representantes indígenas y especialistas en derecho de los pueblos indígenas en la promoción de causas relativas a los derechos humanos de estos pueblos. En la primera parte del volumen se presenta el proceso de internacionalización del campo de los derechos de los pueblos indígenas.

The regulation of Internet content. A qualitative, Colombian and comparative law study

 The incursion of Internet has created new forms of information and communication. As a result, today’s generation is culturally socialized by the influence of information and communication technologies in their various forms. This has generated a series of characteristics of social and cultural behaviour which are derivative of didactic, academic or recreational use. Nevertheless the use of the Internet from an early age represents not only a useful educational tool; it can constitute a great danger when it is used to access contents unsuitable for their adaptive development. Accordingly, it is necessary to study the legal regulation of internet content and to evaluate how such regulation may affect rights. Further, it is also important to study of the impact and use of this technological tool at level of the familiar unit, to understand better how it can suggest appropriate social mechanisms for the constructive use of Internet. The present investigation involves these two aspects with the purpose of uniting the legal and social perspective in a joint analysis that allows one more a more integral vision of this problem of great interest at the global level. 

Analysis of the employee’s labor agreement suspension in Colombia and some legislation references

Considering that the employment contract suspension responds to labor stability,one of the most important principles of labor law is important to study it because itsprincipal purpose is to maintain the link between de employer and the employeedespite the presence of adversity or other situations that would break up the relationshipin other fields. However, at the occurrence of any of the grounds of suspensionmay be presented some questions or voids that it will try to be answer in this paper.Consequently we shall refer first to the definition, purpose and characteristics of thesuspension. Subsequently, will be analyzed in detail every single ground of contractsuspension in Colombia. Then, will be studied the effects of the suspension andwe will refer to the resumption of work, and conclude with the comparative analysisof the figure in some Hispanic countries (Mexico, Paraguay and Spain).
