Tax Credit Evaluation Study: Historic Preservation and Cultural and Entertainment District Tax Credit, March 2009

During the 2005 Legislative Session the Iowa Department of Revenue received an appropriation to establish the Tax Credits Tracking and Analysis Program (TCTAP) to track tax credit awards and claims. In addition, the Department was directed to perform periodic evaluations of tax credit programs. The purpose of these studies is three-fold: (1) To provide a comparison of the Iowa tax credit program to similar federal and other states’ programs (2) To summarize information related to the usage of the Iowa tax credit (3) To evaluate the economic impact of the tax credit program.

Documentary material relating to the history of Iowa - Volume 3, 1896.

Benjamin F. Shambaugh edited and compiled documents and publications for this book on the history of Iowa. This volume 3 is a continuation of volume 2 which is concerned with the history of local political organization from 1787 to 1834. Documents are illustrative of the development of local government in Iowa from the establishment of the Territory of Wisconsin in 1836 to the revision of the statutes of Iowa in 1842-43. It includes documentary material from the Louisiana Purchase, the Territories of the Northwest, Wisconsin and Iowa; the Convention of 1857; the Iowa Constitution of 1846 and the Ratification of Constitutional Amendments.

Each agency is invited and encouraged to send a representative to a quarterly Department of Administrative Services State Recruitment Coordinating Committee “Committee” meeting. This Committee conducts strategic planning sessions to identify top goals and initiatives for the next 2-3 years.
