1st National Accessiblity Plan 2004-2012: achieving equal opportunities and full participation through design for all

According to official statistics, disabled people in Spain number 3.5 million and make up 8.8% of the Spanish population. This group of people are increasingly being recognised as members of society with equal rights, and many of their demands are gradually being transformed into solutions that benefit society as a whole. One example is improved accessibility. Accessible built environments are more human and inclusive places, as well as being easier to get around. Improved accessibility is now recognised as a requirement shared by all members of society, although it is achieved thanks to the demands of disabled people and their representatives. The 1st National Accessibility Plan is a strategic framework for action aimed at ensuring that new products, services and built environments are designed to be accessible for as many people as possible (Design for All) and that existing ones are gradually duly adapted.

Temperament in Bach’s Well-tempered clavier: a historical survey and a new evaluation according to dissonance theory

After a historical survey of temperament in Bach’s Well-Tempered Clavier by Johann Sebastian Bach, an analysis of the work has been made by applying a number of historical good temperaments as well as some recent proposals. The results obtained show that the global dissonance for all preludes and fugues in major keys can be minimized using the Kirnberger II temperament. The method of analysis used for this research is based on the mathematical theories of sensory dissonance, which have been developed by authors such as Hermann Ludwig Ferdinand von Helmholtz, Harry Partch, Reinier Plomp, Willem J. M. Levelt and William A. Sethares

El procés d'avaluació i intervenció psicològica en els centres psiquiàtrics

Aquest treball, dirigit al camp de la psicologia clínica, ha tingut com a fita principal observar el rol dels psicòlegs clínics dins el servei de psiquiatria d'un centre hospitalari, amb l'objectiu d'acostar-nos a la pràctica professional dels psicòlegs en l'avaluació i la intervenció de les psicopatologies.

Las Construcciones de participio presente y de gerundio antepuestas en francés. Estudio discursivo y traductológico

La expresión de la temporalidad en el discurso implica la actualización de sistemas que varían de una lengua a otra, incluso en lenguas pertenecientes a la misma familia, como son el francés y el castellano. El objetivo de este trabajo es analizar desde un punto de vista discursivo y traductológico el funcionamiento de las construcciones de participio presente y de gerundio antepuestas en francés en un corpus de textos pertenecientes al género científico explicativo. Este tipo de construcciones, cuyo funcionamiento es a la vez frástico y textual, resultan interesantes desde una perspectiva contrastiva porque a su valor de base temporal se unen funciones discursivas y pragmáticas que exigen traducciones no literales en muchos casos.

Rechazo medidado por anticuerpos en el trasplante pulmonar: serie de 21 casos

El rechazo mediado por anticuerpos (RMA) es una entidad establecida en el trasplante de órgano sólido (TOS), especialmente en el renal o cardíaco pero con controversias en otros como trasplante pulmonar (TP). Veintiún TP de un total de 207 entre 1990 y octubre de 2012 presentaron RMA (10%); todos presentaron disfunción clínica del injerto y criterios anatomo-patológicos; 8 de 17 (47.1%) con tinción C4d positiva y 7 de 21 (33.3%) con anticuerpos donante específicos. El tratamiento específico administrado fue la combinación de plasmaféresis, inmunoglobulinas y rituximab. Cuatro pacientes (19%) fueron éxitus por RMA y 13 (62%) presentaron mejoría clínica y funcional.

Time-related improvement of survival in resectable gastric cancer: the role of Japanese-style gastrectomy with D2 lymphadenectomy and adjuvant chemotherapy

Background: We investigated the change of prognosis in resected gastric cancer (RGC) patients and the role of radical surgery and adjuvant chemotherapy. Methods: We retrospectively analyze the outcome of 426 consecutive patients from 1975 to 2002, divided into 2 time-periods (TP) cohort: Before 1990 (TP1, n = 207) and 1990 or after (TP2; n= 219). Partial gastrectomy and D1-lymphadenetomy was predominant in TP1 and total gastrectomy with D2-lymphadenectomy it was in TP2. Adjuvant chemotherapy consisted of mitomycin C (MMC), 10¿20 mg/m2 iv 4 courses or MMC plus Tegafur 500 mg/m2 for 6 months. Results: Positive nodes were similar in TP2/TP1 patients with 56%/59% respectively. Total gastrectomy was done in 56%/45% of TP2/TP1 respectively. Two-drug adjuvant chemotherapy was administered in 65%/18% of TP2/TP1 respectively. Survival at 5 years was 66% for TP2 versus 42%for TP1 patients (p < 0.0001). Survival by stages II, IIIA y IIIB for TP2 versus TP1 patients was 70 vs. 51% (p = 0.0132); 57 vs. 22% (p = 0.0008) y 30 vs. 15% (p = 0.2315) respectively. Multivariate analysis showed that age, stage of disease and period of treatment were independent variables. Conclusion: The global prognosis and that of some stages have improved in recent years with case RGC patients treated with surgery and adjuvant chemotherapy.

L’objectiu és aprofundir en el tema dels préstecs i extreure algunes conclusions sobre els tipus d’unitats manllevades i el seu tractament.

Microstructure and magnetic properties of Ni50 Mn37 Sn13 Heusler alloy ribbons

The Heusler alloy Ni50 Mn37 Sn13 was successfully produced as ribbon flakes of thickness around 7-10 μm melt spinning. Fracture cross section micrographs in the ribbon show the formation of a microcrystalline columnarlike microstructure, with their longer axes perpendicular to the ribbon plane. Phase transition temperatures of the martensite-austenite transformation were found to be MS =218 K, Mf =207 K, AS =224 K, and Af =232 K; the thermal hysteresis of the transformation is 15 K. Ferromagnetic L 21 bcc austenite phase shows a Curie point of 313 K, with cell parameter a=0.5971 (5) nm at 298 K, transforming into a modulated 7M orthorhombic martensite with a=0.6121 (7) nm, b=0.6058 (8) nm, and c=0.5660 (2) nm, at 150 K
