Este documento da las pautas básicas para incorporar vídeos incrustados en una página web codificada con HTML5, con un reproductor accesible. Así mismo, se da una introducción a la herramienta ccPlayer, reproductor de vídeos que está implementado como objeto SWF Flash y que permite añadir subtítulos. También para la herramienta JWPlayer que permite añadir subtítulos y audiodescripción.

Planificación del vídeo accesible

Este documento trata los aspectos principales que deben tenerse en cuenta en la producción de un vídeo accesible. Se siguen las etapas de creación de productos audiovisuales (planificación, producción y difusión) y se dan pautas para permitir introducir la accesibilidad en cada una. Se repasa también la legislación principal sobre autorizaciones de grabación y se dan consejos sobre las licencias Creative Commons más recomendables para difundir el producto final.

Metrical strength and contradiction in turkish Makam music

In this paper we investigate how note onsets in Turkish Makam music compositions are distributed, and in how far this distribution supports or contradicts the metrical structure of the pieces, the usul. We use MIDI data to derive the distributions in the form of onset histograms, and comparethem with metrical weights that are applied to describe the usul in theory. We compute correlation and syncopation values to estimate the degrees of support and contradiction, respectively. While the concept of syncopation is rarelymentioned in the context of this music, we can gain interesting insight into the structure of a piece using such a measure.We show that metrical contradiction is systematically applied in some metrical structures. We will compare thedifferences between Western music and Turkish Makam music regarding metrical support and contradiction. Such a study can help avoiding pitfalls in later attempts to perform audio processing tasks such as beat tracking or rhythmic similarity measurements.

Análisis de las incoherencias entre texto e imagen en Los Simpson

En los productos audiovisuales, el canal oral y el visual transmiten información simultáneamente. Si la coherencia de sentido entre texto e imagen desaparece en el doblaje, el objetivo de verosimilitud no se satisface. En este trabajo analizo y clasifico las incoherencias texto-imagen y aporto posibles soluciones a este recurrente problema.

El doblatge d’una comèdia britànica: The Vicar of Dibley

Aquest treball analitza els problemes de doblatge de l’anglès al català que presenta una sèrie còmica, The Vicar of Dibley. L’objectiu es estudiar tant problemes generals com específics per tal de demostrar la viabilitat del doblatge d’aquesta comèdia. Es proposen possibles solucions per a tots els problemes analitzats.

Expressive concatenative synthesis by reusing samples from real performance recordings

Here we describe an approach to the expressive synthesis of jazz saxophone melodies that reuses audio recordings and carefully concatenates note samples. The aim is to generate an expressive audio sequence from the analysis of an arbitrary input score using a previously induced performance model and an annotated saxophone note database extracted from real performances. We push the idea of using the same corpus for both inducing an expressive performance model and synthesizing sound by concatenating samples in the corpus. Therefore, a connection between the performers’ instrument sound and performance characteristics is kept during the synthesis process.

Statistical modeling of bowing control applied to violin sound synthesis

Excitation-continuous music instrument control patterns are often not explicitly represented in current sound synthesis techniques when applied to automatic performance. Both physical model-based and sample-based synthesis paradigmswould benefit from a flexible and accurate instrument control model, enabling the improvement of naturalness and realism. Wepresent a framework for modeling bowing control parameters inviolin performance. Nearly non-intrusive sensing techniques allow for accurate acquisition of relevant timbre-related bowing control parameter signals.We model the temporal contour of bow velocity, bow pressing force, and bow-bridge distance as sequences of short Bézier cubic curve segments. Considering different articulations, dynamics, and performance contexts, a number of note classes are defined. Contours of bowing parameters in a performance database are analyzed at note-level by following a predefined grammar that dictates characteristics of curve segment sequences for each of the classes in consideration. As a result, contour analysis of bowing parameters of each note yields an optimal representation vector that is sufficient for reconstructing original contours with significant fidelity. From the resulting representation vectors, we construct a statistical model based on Gaussian mixtures suitable for both the analysis and synthesis of bowing parameter contours. By using the estimated models, synthetic contours can be generated through a bow planning algorithm able to reproduce possible constraints caused by the finite length of the bow. Rendered contours are successfully used in two preliminary synthesis frameworks: digital waveguide-based bowed stringphysical modeling and sample-based spectral-domain synthesis.

Classification of indian classical vocal styles from melodic contours

A prominent categorization of Indian classical music is the Hindustani and Carnatic traditions, the two styleshaving evolved under distinctly different historical andcultural influences. Both styles are grounded in the melodicand rhythmic framework of raga and tala. The styles differ along dimensions such as instrumentation,aesthetics and voice production. In particular, Carnatic music is perceived as being more ornamented. The hypothesisthat style distinctions are embedded in the melodic contour is validated via subjective classification tests. Melodic features representing the distinctive characteristicsare extracted from the audio. Previous work based on the extent of stable pitch regions is supported by measurements of musicians’ annotations of stable notes. Further, a new feature is introduced that captures thepresence of specific pitch modulations characteristic ofornamentation in Indian classical music. The combined features show high classification accuracy on a database of vocal music of prominent artistes. The misclassifications are seen to match actual listener confusions.

La Educación audiovisual, una didáctica interdisciplinar

La evolución del pensamiento ha sido causada por los diversos medios de comunicación: el diálogo en la Grecia clásica o la imprenta en el Renacimiento. Con la revolución técnica en la que se basan los medios actuales, estamos asistiendo a un nuevo cambio de necesaria inclusión en la enseñanza: ya no basta con la enseñanza de la lengua oral y escrita, ahora se impone la enseñanza del medio audiovisual. Opina la autora de este artículo que la LOGSE no ha respondido a las expectativas que sobre este ámbito se habían creado porque no se dota a los centros del material necesario ni a los profesores de la adecuada preparación

Desde la creación de la asignatura de "Bases de Inmunología" del Master Oficial Interuniversitario URV-UB en Nutrición y Metabolismo (curso 2007-2008), se están utilizando diversas metodologías docentes innovadoras que permiten trabajar competencias transversales y acerca el estudiante a tecnologías de la información y la comunicación (TIC) con las que se encontrará durante el desarrollo de su actividad profesional. El objetivo de la presente innovación consistió en la realización de se-siones formativas audiovisuales con tal de trabajar las habilidades comunicativas necesarias en el desarrollo del ejercicio profesional.
