L'aprofitament ramader a la vall del Madriu-Perafita-Claror (Principat d'Andorra)

The farming exploitation in the Madriu-Perafita-Claror Valley (Principality of Andorra). The Madriu-Perafita-Claror Valley, a natural space located in the Principality of Andorra, has kept a high ecological and landscape value through time. At present, the Valley is considered in the cultural landscape category of the UNESCO World-wide Heritage. A study of the spatial variability of pastures in the Valley conducted from 1994 to 2003 concluded that there was an optimistic future for livestock. This future was mainly explained by new policies in the country, as well as by the new hopes of the tockbreeders. The study also stated that cattle and horse movements within the Valley did not varied over the study period, although entrance and exit points changed. Sheep only fed in the Madriu-Perafita-Claror Valley, but it wouldbe convenient its introduction in other areas where horses and cattle did not pasture. The study concluded that the use of the Valley by the stockbreeders contributed to the development of the vegetation and the landscape, and that the livestock is very important to keep natural and landscape values of the Valley.

Criterios identificadores de las perífrasis verbales del español

Dels criteris proposats per la bibliogra a per identi car les perífrasis verbals (PV) de l'espanyol, només alguns ajuden a diferenciar amb e càcia les PV de les construccions no perifràstiques (CNP). L'objectiu d'aquest article és revisar aquests criteris i avaluar-los per tal de determinar quins són realment vàlids per identi car les PV. L'avaluació s'ha dut a terme amb un grup de 15 conjunts verbals. A més, s'ha realitzat un estudi experimental amb corpus per determinar la productivitat de les PV detectades.

El proceso de revisión y evaluación de manuscritos, conocido como arbitraje científico o peer review, supone actualmente un paso que se considera necesario para la divulgación de los avances científicos de una determinada disciplina. Cuando una revista recibe un artículo, sus editores recurren a revisores expertos que, después de la lectura detenida del manuscrito, evalúan la idoneidad de su publicación, en este trabajo se describe el proceso editorial de un artículo y se muestran los ítems por los cuales se evalúan los artículos.

A proposal to establish indicators for the evaluation of municipal councils' socio-cultural policies

How can municipal sociocultural policies stimulate and promote community empowerment, civic creativity or social cohesion? What objectives should be proposed at the municipal level to promote processes of sociocultural community development? How can we identify local needs in order to stimulate community development processes? In response to these questions, our paper proposes a creative solution: indicators to evaluate sociocultural policies. The proposal will enable us to obtain information about our own reality and, at the same time, contribute to producing changes and to outlining possible de intervention strategies for local administrations. The proposal describes a system of creative, flexible and rigourous indicators intended for municipal technicians and politicians interested in evaluating their sociocultural actions and strategies. We present the result of a research process whose methods included validation of the indicators by experts and technicians in or related to sociocultural community development, and the application of this system based on a case study of a Spanish municipality. Among the proposed indicators specific consideration is given to the support of local creators and the promotion of civic creativity, as well as the use, the creation and the articulation of sociocultural activities as strategies to contribute to cultural and civic diversity

Assessment of the water chemistry and the macroinvertebrate community changes produced during the creation of the new Llobregat river mouth (Barcelona, NE Spain)

In 1999, a set of coordinated projects and investments whose principal objective was to transform Barcelona into one of the main distribution points of southern Europe resulted in the relocation of the Llobregat River mouth. The mouth was relocated by draining the old river mouth and constructing a new one. The aim of this study was to characterise the physico-chemical properties and the aquatic macroinvertebrate communities of the new river mouth and to monitor the changes experienced by the estuarine environment during its creation. A sampling point was established in the river 1.8 km upstream from its connection with the new mouth, and two sampling points were established in the new mouth. Samples of water and macroinvertebrates were collected every two months from May 2004 to June 2005, covering the periods before (from May to September 2004) and after (from September 2004 to June 2005) the new mouth was connected to the river and the sea. During the period before its connection to the river and the sea, the new mouth was functionally similar to a lagoon, with clear waters, charophytes and a rich invertebrate community. After the connection was completed, seawater penetrated the river mouth and extended to the connection point with the river (approximately 3.9 km upstream). An increase in conductivity from 4-6 mS cm 1 to 24-30 mS cm 1 caused important changes in the macroinvertebrate community of the new mouth. An initial defaunation was followed by a colonisation of the new mouth by brackish-water and marine invertebrate species. [eng] The learning portofolio represents a meeting point for the big questions than have concernend teaching since the 1990s: the formative character of the assessment, the issue of competencies, metacognition and the students's critical thinking, the role played by ICTs, and the idea of collaborative learning considered in the long term. The article looks at how these subjects have taken shape in the learning portofolio and how they have determinded its evolutin.

La percepción de los estudiantes universitarios de Bellas Artes sobre sus dificultades de aprendizaje: el caso de las competencias de búsqueda y selección de información relevante

[spa]Identificar las dificultades halladas en el proceso de aprendizaje con la especial relación entre el esfuerzo y el logro experimentada por los estudiantes implica afrontar uno de los problemas fundamentales del aprendizaje. El presente artículo pretende abordar los aprendizajes vinculados a las competencias transversales de la búsqueda y selección de información desde el examen de la percepción de los estudiantes universitarios de arte en la realización de una carpeta de aprendizaje adaptada a la titulación y al perfil del estudiante. A partir de un enfoque cuantitativo, y mediante un estudio descriptivo transversal, se analizará la relación existente entre el esfuerzo realizado, los resultados de aprendizaje declarados y la relación entre ambas cuestiones -lo que a la postre define las dificultades- que manifiestan los estudiantes. [eng]This article aims to address the learning skills associated with the competence of searching and selecting information from the examination of the perceptions of art college students in the drawing up of a learning portfolio tailored to the degree and student profile. From a quantitative approach, and through a cross-sectional descriptive study, we will analyze the relationship between effort, stated learning outcomes and the relationship between these two issues what ultimately defines the difficulties which declare the students.

Redaccio col·laborativa de treballs en la docència de les ciències experimentals. Comparació entre mètodes tradicionals i wikis

En aquest treball es presenta la recerca en docència que desenvolupen els autors, ique fa referència a l"ús de la redacció col·laborativa de documents i treballscooperatius en docència. Aquesta recerca es dedica principalment a l"anàlisi de l"ús de metodologies TIC, com és el wiki, per tal d"avaluar-ne els seus avantatges i inconvenients respecte als mètodes tradicionals de treball col·laboratiu. Entre d"altres aspectes, ens interessen la mesura de l"esforç en temps de dedicació de l"alumnat i també del professorat, i la possibilitat de fer una avaluació de cada alumne que inclogui la seva contribució individual al treball de grup. L"estudi s"està fent en diverses assignatures dels ensenyaments de Biologia, Ciències Ambientals i Infermeria. Es presenten algunes dades sobre els resultats obtinguts en aspectes com ara les dificultats tècniques, qüestions organitzatives i grau de satisfacció dels alumnes. S"aporten algunes dades preliminars sobre la valoració diferent de cada alumne segons el mètode.

La evaluación es un proceso que se pone en marcha junto con el inicio de la vida escolar y continúa a lo largo de ella, haciendo acto de presencia de manera continuada (lo cual no es lo mismo que hacer una evaluación continuada). La evaluación es un referente constante en las dinámicas escolares que debe servir de ayuda para que el profesorado y el alumnado aprendan algo respecto de lo que hacen bien y de lo que se requiere modificar para que se produzca más y mejor aprendizaje.

Impacte tecnològic en el nou món colonial. Aculturació en arqueologia i arqueometria ceràmica (TECNOLONIAL)

El projecte TECNOLONIAL té com a principal objectiu aprofundir en aspectes relacionats amb la interacció, influència i aculturació durant el procés de colonització a Amèrica. En aquest sentit, cal destacar que s"utilitza el terme"aculturació" com a nom genèric per denominar un procés complex de contactes entre societats diferents i diverses; procés que donarà com a resultat diverses respostes a la integració i/o resistència d"acord amb diferents situacions i estratègies, com el desenvolupament de noves identitats en les àrees colonitzades on grups humans mixtos i complexos es troben ubicats. El projecte se centra en l"expansió atlàntica espanyola, especialment durant el segle XVI, com a punt de partida del comerç global que es practica avui dia entre societats completament interconnectades.La investigació es basa essencialment en l"estudi de la ceràmica (majòlica, vidriada i contenidors de transport, com també ceràmiques indígenes), que és un bé o un bé comercial de valor intrínsec, d"ús intensiu i relacionat amb activitats quotidianes i simbòliques. A més, la seva ubiqüitat i abundància en el registre arqueològic converteixen la ceràmica en l"objecte ideal per contestar aquest tipus de qüestions. Market Index Biases and Minimum Risk Indices

Markets, in the real world, are not efficient zero-sum games where hypotheses of the CAPM are fulfilled. Then, it is easy to conclude the market portfolio is not located on Markowitz"s efficient frontier, and passive investments (and indexing) are not optimal but biased. In this paper, we define and analyze biases suffered by passive investors: the sample, construction, efficiency and active biases and tracking error are presented. We propose Minimum Risk Indices (MRI) as an alternative to deal with to market index biases, and to provide investors with portfolios closer to the efficient frontier, that is, more optimal investment possibilities. MRI (using a Parametric Value-at-Risk Minimization approach) are calculated for three stock markets achieving interesting results. Our indices are less risky and more profitable than current Market Indices in the Argentinean and Spanish markets, facing that way the Efficient Market Hypothesis. Two innovations must be outlined: an error dimension has been included in the backtesting and the Sharpe"s Ratio has been used to select the"best" MRI

La primera publicación se trata de un libro de interés para investigadores vinculados a los procesos de evaluación de impacto ambiental. El libro, cuyo texto está en tres idiomas (catalán, inglés y castellano en el mismo volumen), ofrece una revisión de las metodologias para detectar los impactos causados en el ambiente social y humano como resultado de la construcción de proyectos, dificios o instalaciones sujetas a un proceso de evaluación de impacto ambiental.

Evaluación de las interfaces de consulta en las colecciones digitales patrimoniales españolas

Se analizan las interfaces de consulta de 31 repositorios patrimoniales españoles con el objetivo de identificar sus puntos fuertes y sus puntos débiles. Los elementos analizados (ayudas, consulta multilingüe, modalidades de búsqueda, lenguajes de interrogación, etc.) han sido establecidos a partir de la bibliografía especializada, tanto la que hace referencia de manera específica a las interfaces de consulta de todo tipo de repositorios, como la que trata el tema desde una perspectiva distinta o más amplia (por ejemplo, interfaces de catálogos de bibliotecas, usabilidad). Se propone una serie de recomendaciones con el fin de mejorar los puntos débiles detectados.
