New technologies and nursing: use and perception of primary healthcare nurses about electronic health record in Catalonia, Spain

This study was aimed to analyze and assess the use and perception of electronic health records (EHRs) by nurses. The study sample included 113 nurses from different shifts of primary health facilities in Catalonia, Spain, devoted to adult as well as pediatric outpatients using EHRs throughout the year 2010. A majority of the sample (87.5%) were women and 12.5% were men. The average age was 44.27 years and the average time working in primary healthcare was 47.15 months. A majority (80.4%) received specific training on the use of the EHR and 19.6% did not. The use of the application required side technical support (mean: 3.42) and it is considered necessary to learn more about the performance of the application (mean: 3.50). The relationship between the average ratings that nurses have about the EHR and age shows that there is no statistically significant linear relationship (r = - 0.002, p-value = 0.984). As to how long they have used the EHRs, there are significant differences (r= -0.304, p-value = 0.00), so the more time the nurse takes using the EHR, the greater degree of satisfaction is shown. In addition, there are significant differences between nurses" perceptions regarding the EHR and gender (t = - 0.421, p-value = 0.675). Nurses assessed as positive the contribution of the EHRs in their nursing care day work (average score: 2.55/5). Considering that the usability of the EHR device is assessed as satisfactory, the results of the perception of nurses show that we must also take into account the training and emphasize the need for a side technical support in the implementation process of the EHR. Doing so, the positive perception that nurses have in regard to information and communication technology in general and with respect to the EHR in particular may be increased.

Projecte d’una nau destinada a la conservació i comercialització de fruita de 12t/dia de capacitat, situada al terme municipal de Serra de Daró

El projecte té com a objectiu la construcció d’una nau destinada a laconservació i comercialització de fruita, en concret poma de diferents varietats(Golden, RedDelicious, Royal Gala, Granny Smith i Fuji) amb tota la maquinària i les instal•lacionsnecessàries per a un correcte tractament, conservació, classificació i comercialització de lafruita.Es construirà un edifici de 3.005 m² dels quals 1.020 m² seran per al desenvolupamentdel procés productiu, 1.700 m² seran per a les cambres de conservació, i 285 m² seran perals locals de personal, oficines i sales tècniques. La parcel•la on s'ubicarà la nau industrial es troba ubicada en una zona industrial alquilòmetre 5,7 de la carretera GI-653, és propietat del promotor, té una superfície d'11.400m² i disposa de tots els serveis necessaris per exercir l'activitat

Young Firms and R&D subsidies in Catalonia

Based on four different public R&D calls from the Catalan government, this article evaluates the propensity of entrants and young firms to apply for R&D public grants and, as compared to their counterparts, their capacity for obtaining subsides. This analysis is particularly relevant since entrants and young firms encounter greater market difficulties. Our sample contains 22,139 firms and corresponds to a merge of two databases: one from the Catalan agency responsible for promoting private innovation (ACC1Ó) and the other from the Mercantile Register. Merging these databases has two advantages. Firstly, participants and non-participants in the public R&D call (“InnoEmpresa”) are included and, secondly, it provides us with information at firm and project level. The period of observation is between 2006 and 2010, since some explanatory variables are lagged by one period. We apply a two-step methodology. Our results show that entrants and young firms show a lower propensity to apply for R&D subsidies and to obtain R&D public grants. Firm size, exports and participation in a previous call show a positive impact on the likelihood of applying, and firms located in the Barcelona metropolitan area have a greater propensity to apply. Additionally, project quality and R&D cooperative reports presented jointly with other partners have a positive impact on the likelihood of obtaining the R&D subsidy. Finally, firms that have previously obtained an R&D subsidy do not exhibit a greater propensity for obtaining subsequent grants. This article aims to reflect both on the speakers as individual subjects of the social history of language and on the sources which allow an approach to speakers, more precisely immigrants of the contemporary Catalonia. In very different narratives, immigrants talk about their territory of origin or economic conditions, and also about languages expressing the most varied language attitudes. Prejudices or language uses, common topics of these narratives, are fully within the field of social history of the language. Traduccions oblidades i desconegudes de Jacint Verdaguer al francès

La recepció de l’obra de Verdaguer a França i, en especial, a la Catalunya del Nord i a Occitània, tot i ser molt remarcable, ha estat estudiada de forma fragmentària. Només s’ha realitzat alguna recerca sobre traductors com Delpont, Pepratx, Savine, Tolrà de Bordas o Vassal. D’altres traductors nord-catalans o occitans no han merescut cap atenció i la informació que en tenim és mínima o inexistent. L’objectiu d’aquest treball és aportar noves notícies sobre versions al francès de traductors verdaguerians nord-catalans i occitans, oblidats o, simplement, que no s’han estudiat mai.

Bloomsbury i la biografia : "La reina Victòria" de Lytton Strachey en català

La reina Victòria, de l’escriptor anglès Lytton Strachey, arribà a Catalunya el 1935, dos anys després de la mort de l’autor i catorze després que aparegués per primera vegada a Londres amb un excepcional acolliment. Publicada per l’editorial Atena i traduïda pel polític, pedagog i escriptor Pau Romeva, rebé tots els honors de la crítica, que l’erigiren com un dels models europeus del gènere biogràfic, molt en voga les primeres dècades del segle xx. Aquest article analitza la recepció catalana de la traducció de La reina Victòria, editada pocs mesos abans d’esclatar la guerra civil. Molts factors confluïren perquè fos una versió única, irrepetible.

Flush, de Virginia Woolf, en Català i la carrera literària de Roser Cardús

Flush (1933), de Virginia Woolf, protagonitzada pel gos de la poeta Elisabeth Barrett Browning, es va traduir al català cinc anys després, a Edicions de la Rosa dels Vents, quan encara es podia veure a la cartellera barcelonina la pel·lícula que narrava la història del matrimoni de poetes Browning, The Barrets of Wimpole Street, estrenada l�any 1934 i dirigida per Sidney Franklin. També havia arribat a Catalunya la traducció francesa de Charles Mauron, publicada l�any 1935. Això va fer que l�any 1938, malgrat el conflicte bèl·lic, hi hagués un context de recepció propici a aquesta traducció, encarregada per l�editor Josep Janés i Oliver. En aquest article donem a conèixer qui era la noia de divuit anys que va realitzar la traducció al català a partir de la traducció francesa, Roser Cardús i Malagarriga (1920-1974), i en descrivim la carrera com a escriptora i com a traductora.

Les audicions musicals a l'educació infantil: estratègies i recursos que s'utilitzen actualment a les escoles catalanes

L’audició a l’edat infantil és important per tal que els infants puguin escoltar profundament i així poder interioritzar la música. Aquest treball pretén mostrar la realitat de les escoles catalanes a l’hora de treballar les audicions musicals: els recursos i les estratègies que utilitzen, l’estona que hi dediquen, la importància de treballar-les... Per fer-ho m’he basat en la metodologia interpretativa, utilitzant l’enquesta per tal de conèixer l’opinió de tants centres catalans com ha sigut possible, basant-me en la llista d’escoles de Catalunya a través de la pàgina web de la Generalitat de Catalunya. També he utilitzat l’entrevista per tal d’enriquir el treball amb els coneixements de tres especialistes de música: Montse Amoròs, Àngels Hugàs i Mercè Carrera. A més a més, de les respostes obtingudes dels instruments de recollida de dades he escollit cinc audicions i recursos a per veure la reacció d’un grup d’infants de 4 i 5 anys del Ceip Puig d’Arques de Cassà de la Selva.

Aportació al coneixement florístic de les Guilleries i del Collsacabra (Catalunya Oriental), III

En la present nota indiquem un seguit de novetats corològiques per a la flora vascular dels massissos de les Guilleries i del Collsacabra.

Més de tres segles d"història: les exploracions florístiques al Cadí-Moixeró i muntanyes veïnes.

El 2003 es va publicar el catàleg de plantes vasculars del Parc del Cadí-Moixeró i les serres veïnes; poc després un de nosaltres en va presentar una síntesi en el número 3 d"aquesta revista. Al·ludíem aleshores a l"important bagatge tant d"exploracions científiques com de dades sobre la flora del territori existents en el moment de redactar el catàleg; de fet, gairebé tots els botànics catalans, i molts de francesos i d"espanyols, hi han passat en algun moment i han contribuït al coneixement de la seva flora.
