Through an imaginary change of coordinates in the Galilei algebra in 4 space dimensions and making use of an original idea of Dirac and Lvy-Leblond, we are able to obtain the relativistic equations of Dirac and of Bargmann and Wigner starting with the (Galilean-invariant) Schrdinger equation.

Realizations of Poincar group induced by second order differential systems. Non interaction theorem

A generalization of the predictive relativistic mechanics is studied where the initial conditions are taken on a general hypersurface of M4. The induced realizations of the Poincar group are obtained. The same procedure is used for the Galileo group. Noninteraction theorems are derived for both groups.

Macbeth : l'aportació de William Shakespeare al pensament polític modern

Aquest treball ofereix l’estudi sobre l’aportació que va fer el dramaturg anglès del segle XVIXVII William Shakespeare en la filosofia política. El principal objectiu del treball consisteixen analitzar la seva obra teatral “Macbeth” destacant els element rellevants per la teoria política del seu període, és a dir l’època Moderna. El desenvolupament de les noves concepcions del món i de l’ordre social d’aquell moment va marcar un abans i un després enel pensament polític. En l’estudi, els aspectes polítics tractats en “Macbeth” es comparen amb les idees de Hobbes i Maquiavel per demostrar que malgrat Shakespeare mai ha sigut considerat com a un filòsof polític, les seves visions de la societat eren innovadores i sovint semblants a les visions de pensadors més il·lustres de la teoria política.

Cultural events and tourist development in Catalonia (Spain)

From the point of view of local development cultural tourism events represent an opportunity since they are distributed homogeneously by the Catalan territory and are experiencing a vertiginous growth as a way to differentiate the existing supply. In our study a sample of 264 telephone surveys made to organizers of events in Catalonia has been compiled, with the purpose of characterizing the existing supply, thematic typologies, management models, commercialization inputs and economic impact. The results allow us to characterize events from the point of view of their tourist potential. Finally some recommendations are set out to develop future tourism policies based on events according to product differentiation, seasonality, competitiveness and creativity.

Probabilistic algorithms for blind adaptive multiuser detection

In this paper, two probabilistic adaptive algorithmsfor jointly detecting active users in a DS-CDMA system arereported. The first one, which is based on the theory of hiddenMarkov models (HMM’s) and the Baum–Wech (BW) algorithm,is proposed within the CDMA scenario and compared withthe second one, which is a previously developed Viterbi-basedalgorithm. Both techniques are completely blind in the sense thatno knowledge of the signatures, channel state information, ortraining sequences is required for any user. Once convergencehas been achieved, an estimate of the signature of each userconvolved with its physical channel response (CR) and estimateddata sequences are provided. This CR estimate can be used toswitch to any decision-directed (DD) adaptation scheme. Performanceof the algorithms is verified via simulations as well as onexperimental data obtained in an underwater acoustics (UWA)environment. In both cases, performance is found to be highlysatisfactory, showing the near–far resistance of the analyzed algorithms.

Symmetries of the free Schrödinger equation in the non-commutative plane

We study all the symmetries of the free Schr odinger equation in the non-commu- tative plane. These symmetry transformations form an infinite-dimensional Weyl algebra that appears naturally from a two-dimensional Heisenberg algebra generated by Galilean boosts and momenta. These infinite high symmetries could be useful for constructing non-relativistic interacting higher spin theories. A finite-dimensional subalgebra is given by the Schröodinger algebra which, besides the Galilei generators, contains also the dilatation and the expansion. We consider the quantization of the symmetry generators in both the reduced and extended phase spaces, and discuss the relation between both approaches.

Teatro, psicología y Shakespeare. Estudio de la personalidad de Macbeth y Lady Macbeth

El treball que aquí es presenta s’inicia amb la descripció de tres models principals de concebre la funció del teatre. A continuació, es demostrarà que l’estratègia més vàlida axiològicament és aquella que parteix d’Aristòtil amb els conceptes de mímesi i catarsi. A partir d’aquí, la segona part del document es centra en verificar que l’obra Macbeth de William Shakespeare és un bon exemple d’aquest model. Per aquest motiu, s’analitza que el text de l’autor britànic concordi amb la realitat. Més concretament, s’estudia que el comportament psicològic dels protagonistes sigui versemblant, i que l’espectador pugui extreure un aprenentatge vàlid quan observi aquesta representació teatral.

Helisaeus Röslin y la libertad de religión

[spa]En las historias generales de la tolerancia religiosa no figura Helisaeus Röslin. Sin embargo Carlos Gilly ha mostrado en diferentes trabajos que el médico suabo-alsaciano sostuvo a lo largo de su obra de modo incansable la necesidad de la libertad religiosa y de conciencia como un postulado religioso y como un factor de progreso económico y paz social. El presente trabajo pretende analizar en profundidad la teorización rösliniana de la libertad de religión poniéndola en relación con su concepción de la historia, con su obra de cronología y con su interpretación de las novedades celestes contemporáneas, en particular la nova de 1604 y el descubrimiento galileano de los planetas mediceos en 1610, tal como se refleja en dos de las últimas obras de Röslin: Mitternächtige Schiffarth (1611) y la Tabella des Welt Spiegels (1612).
