Implementación de un sistema de base de datos relacional que almacena la información relativa a ligas de fútbol en diferentes países, para diferentes temporadas, con el objetivo de tener disponible información de los diferentes equipos, jugadores y resultados a lo largo de las diferentes temporadas. Asimismo, el sistema debe almacenar información de apuestas deportivas de diferentes tipos y de los usuarios que las realizan.

L'usuari s'haurà de validar usant la funció login i per poder accedir a la informació haurà d'usar els paquets de la base de dades sense poder accedir directament a les dades de les taules.

An expression of mixed animal model equations to account for different means and variances in the base population

This paper presents a general expression to predict breeding values using animal models when the base population is selected, i.e. the means and variances of breeding values in the base generation differ among individuals. Rules for forming the mixed model equations are also presented. A numerical example illustrates the procedure.

Base genética de la cistinuria, heterogeneidad genética

La cistinuria es una aminoaciduria que se transmite de forma autosómica rececesiva. Clínicamente se distinguen 3 formas de cistinuria, tipos I, II y III. Inicialmente identificamos un gen, implicado en el transporte de cistina y aminoácidos básicos, rBAT como responsable de esta enfermedad. Hasta la fecha se han identificado 22 mutaciotles en rBAT responsables de cistinuria. Mediante estudios de mutaciones y ligamiento genético en familias con cistinuria hemos podido demostrar que la enfermedad es heterogénea. Sólo la cistinuria de tipo I se debe a mutaciones en rBAT, mientras otros genes serán responsables de los tipos II y III. Actualmente estamos realizando estudios de exclusión genética en familias tipo no I, que nos permitirían asignar las regiones cromosómicas en las que se encuentran el gen o los genes responsables de cistinuria tipo II y/o III, paso previo para poder aislar y caracterizar dichos genes.

Neutron skin thickness in the droplet model with surface width dependence: Indications of softness of the nuclear symmetry energy

We analyze the neutron skin thickness in finite nuclei with the droplet model and effective nuclear interactions. The ratio of the bulk symmetry energy J to the so-called surface stiffness coefficient Q has in the droplet model a prominent role in driving the size of neutron skins. We present a correlation between the density derivative of the nuclear symmetry energy at saturation and the J/Q ratio. We emphasize the role of the surface widths of the neutron and proton density profiles in the calculation of the neutron skin thickness when one uses realistic mean-field effective interactions. Next, taking as experimental baseline the neutron skin sizes measured in 26 antiprotonic atoms along the mass table, we explore constraints arising from neutron skins on the value of the J/Q ratio. The results favor a relatively soft symmetry energy at subsaturation densities. Our predictions are compared with the recent constraints derived from other experimental observables. Though the various extractions predict different ranges of values, one finds a narrow window L∼45-75 MeV for the coefficient L that characterizes the density derivative of the symmetry energy that is compatible with all the different empirical indications.

Cerca de Linares, entre los pozs La Esmeralda y San Juan puede observarse como todos los constituyentes del relleno de los Filones del zocalo cortan igualmente al paleosuelo carbonatado de la base del trias.

The structure of human tRNALys3 anticodon bound to HIV genome is stabilized by modified nucleosides and adjacent mismatch base pairs

Replication of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) requires base pairing of the reverse transcriptase primer, human tRNA(Lys3), to the viral RNA. Although the major complementary base pairing occurs between the HIV primer binding sequence (PBS) and the tRNA's 3'-terminus, an important discriminatory, secondary contact occurs between the viral A-rich Loop I, 5'-adjacent to the PBS, and the modified, U-rich anticodon domain of tRNA(Lys3). The importance of individual and combined anticodon modifications to the tRNA/HIV-1 Loop I RNA's interaction was determined. The thermal stabilities of variously modified tRNA anticodon region sequences bound to the Loop I of viral sub(sero)types G and B were analyzed and the structure of one duplex containing two modified nucleosides was determined using NMR spectroscopy and restrained molecular dynamics. The modifications 2-thiouridine, s(2)U(34), and pseudouridine, Psi(39), appreciably stabilized the interaction of the anticodon region with the viral subtype G and B RNAs. The structure of the duplex results in two coaxially stacked A-form RNA stems separated by two mismatched base pairs, U(162)*Psi(39) and G(163)*A(38), that maintained a reasonable A-form helix diameter. The tRNA's s(2)U(34) stabilized the interaction between the A-rich HIV Loop I sequence and the U-rich anticodon, whereas the tRNA's Psi(39) stabilized the adjacent mismatched pairs.
