Weaving Futures. Family Transnationalism in the migration from Dominican Republic and Brazil to Spain

This article explores forms of migrant families’ reorganization within a (new) global economic crisis and the hardening of migration control in Europe; based on the cases of Dominican and Brazilian migration to Spain.Our goal is not to characterize the wholeness of strategies from these collectives, instead visualize its heterogeneity. Displacement of Dominican and Brazilian population to Spain shares the role of women as the first link of migration chains. In both cases women are the economic support of transnational families and they lead reunification's processes. Nevertheless, differences in the time spent in the destination country, migratory status, origin (rural-urban), level of education, class and labor insertion in destination country, affect differently, the planning and start up of migration projects, the organization of care and family reunification strategies. These findings question the predominant place granted to national origin in the study of international migration.

Perspectives on gender, migration and transnational work: joint work of social reproduction and care in Southern Europe

This paper presents the "state of the art" and some of the main issues discussed in relation to the topic of transnational migration and reproductive work in southern Europe. We start doing a genealogy of the complex theoretical development leading to the consolidation of the research program, linking consideration of gender with transnational migration and transformation of work and ways of survival, thus making the production aspects as reproductive, in a context of globalization. The analysis of the process of multiscale reconfiguration of social reproduction and care, with particular attention to its present global dimension is presented, pointing to the turning point of this line of research that would have taken place with the beginning of this century, with the rise notions such as "global care chains" (Hochschild, 2001), or "care drain" (Ehrenreich and Hochschild, 2013). Also, the role of this new agency, now composed in many cases women who migrate to other countries or continents, precisely to address these reproductive activities, is recognized. Finally, reference is made to some of the new conceptual and theoretical developments in this area.

Noble States Managed by Women. Doña Teresa de Saavedra y Zúñiga, Countess of Villalonso: an Aristocrat during Philip II and Philip III’s Reign

This work intends to analyze the letters exchanged between doña Teresa de Saavedra y Zúñiga, countess of Villalonso, and Bartolomé de Cartagena, a merchant who lived in Seville. Those letters are a very detailed account of their financial relationship during two decades; but they also give us important information about the countess’ life. In her letters the countess discussed her domestic familial life but also made reference to her social position at Court, so we can reconstruct the strategies used by doña Teresa in order to accomplish all her objectives and the ways she used to present these goals to the others.

Los géneros Melanelia EssI. y Neofuscelia Essl. (Ascomycotina, Parmeliaceae) en el Centro de España: datos corológicos y clave de especies

Se aportan datos del hábitat y distribución de diez especies del género Melanelia y cinco del género Neofuscelia en el Centro de España (provincias de Avila, Madrid y Segovia). Consideramos que son nuevas citas: Melanelia disjunta, M. elegantula y Neofuscelia delisei, para la provincia de Avila; y M. subargentifera, M. tominii, N. delisei, N. glabrans y N. verruculifera, para la provincia de Madrid. Además. se ha elaborado una clave para la identificación de estas especies.

Contribución al estudio anatómico de los géneros Elaeoselinum Koch ex DC., Margotia Boiss. y Distichoselinum García Martín & Silvestre (Umbelliferae), en la Península Ibérica

Se realiza el estudio anatómico de los tallos, hojas y frutos de los taxones ibéricos del género Elaeoselinum s.l. y se discute el valor de los caracteres anatómicos, en orden a considerar como géneros independientes Elaeoselinum Koch ex DC., Margotia Boiss. y Distichoselinum García Martín & Silvestre.

Algunas crucíferas interesantes para la flora de Granada

Se estudian 24 taxones de la familia Brassicaceae pertenecientes a la flora de Granada, interesantes bajo distintos aspectos. De ellos se aportan datos ecológicos, biogeográficos y cromosómicos; dos constituyen primeras citas para la provincia y se propone elevar el rango a la categoría de subespecie para Alyssum diffusum Ten. var. corymbosum Pau.

Los enebrales rastreros oromediterráneos del sector Ibérico-Soriano

Se ha realizado un estudio fitosociológico de los enebrales rastreros oromediterráneos del Sistema Ibérico septentrional (Demanda, Neila, Urbión y Cebollera), en el que se comentan también aspectos relacionados con su ecologia y conservación. Se describen dos nuevas subasociaciones: Vaccinio-myrtilli-Juniperetum nanae minuartietosum recurvae y Vaccinio myrtilli-Juniperetum nanae vaccinietosum uliginosi.

Nueva aportación al estudio biosistemático del género Eryngium L.

En este trabajo se estudian seis diferentes táxones pertenecientes al g. Eryngium L.(Umbelliferae). Desde el punto de vista cromosómico, los resultados obtenidos son: E. campestre L. f. duriberum (Sennen et Pau) comb. nova 2n= 14; E. x chevalieri Sennen 2n= 15; E. ilicifolium Lam. 2n=18: E. triquetrum Vahl 2n= 16; E. corniculatum Lam. 2n=16 y E. galioides Lam. var. galioides 2n= 16. Se realiza asimismo un estudio morfológico y nomenclatural de las especies mas críticas y se dan dos lectotypus.

Notas florísticas y corológicas de Andalucía oriental

Se comenta el comportamiento ecológico y corologia de veinte táxones de Andalucia oriental poco o nada conocidos, de los que destacamos: Geum rivale L., Convolvulus cantabricus L., Scrophularia frutescens L., Plantago loeflingii L., Koeleria caudata (Link) Steudel y K. dasyphylla Willk.

Nomenclature and syntaxonomic notes on some high-rank syntaxa of the European grassland vegetation

We present descriptions of a new order (Ranunculo cortusifolii-Geranietalia reuteri and of a new alliance (Stachyo lusitanicae-Cheirolophion sempervirentis) for the herbaceous fringe communities of Macaronesia and of the southwestern Iberian Peninsula, respectively. A new alliance, the Polygalo mediterraneae-Bromion erecti (mesophilous post-cultural grasslands), was introduced for the Peninsular Italy. We further validate and typify the Armerietalia rumelicae (perennial grasslands supported by nutrient-poor on siliceous bedrocks at altitudes characterized by the submediterranean climate of central-southern Balkan Peninsula), the Securigero-Dasypyrion villosae (lawn and fallow-land tall-grass annual vegetation of Italy), and the Cirsio vallis-demoni-Nardion (acidophilous grasslands on siliceous substrates of the Southern Italy). Nomenclatural issues (validity, legitimacy, synonymy, formal corrections) have been discussed and clarified for the following names: Brachypodio-Brometalia, Bromo pannonici-Festucion csikhegyensis, Corynephoro-Plantaginion radicatae, Heleochloion, Hieracio-Plantaginion radicatae, Nardetea strictae, Nardetalia strictae, Nardo-Callunetea, Nardo-Galion saxatilis, Oligo-Bromion, Paspalo-Heleochloetalia, Plantagini-Corynephorion and Scorzoneret alia villosae. 

The Sports Overload Injuries of the Lower Extremities from the Biomechanical Point of View

This work studies the major sports overload injuries of the lower extremities from the biomechanical point of view. At the same time, the main paradigms of podiatric biomechanics and the application of new biomechanical theories in the study of these lesions are reviewed. With current legislation, clinical gait biomechanical studies should be carried out in health centres and the only health professionals who can perform them are podiatrists and doctors (because they both can diagnose). Graduates in physical education can carry out studies in the field or in the sports court for the sole purpose of improving athletic performance, but never intended to treat a pathology overload.

La Inteligencia Competitiva en los procesos de internacionalización empresarial: Una guía de recursos de información para la empresa española y el periodismo económico

La información se ha convertido en un recurso imprescindible para el proceso de toma de decisiones en las empresas, y elemento fundamental en el proceso de Inteligencia Competitiva. La globalización económica y la libre circulación de mercancías, bien sea dentro de estructuras supranacionales o derivados de la firma de Tratados internacionales, han aumentado el número de competidores presentes en los mercados, pero también las oportunidades para acceder a otros mercados internacionales. Este trabajo describe los recursos de información más importantes que puede necesitar una empresa en su acceso a los mercados internacionales, y que proceden tanto de organismos públicos como privados.
