In the present article I try to share some reflections on a case study of an attachment disorder child I worked with for two years through art therapy in a day hospital. Those reflections let me go deeply in some specific elements concerning the discipline which let us delimit its theoretical and methodological possible scope. In this way, from the specific of the case study on propose to reflect on those elements that conform a methodology related to the art therapist way of doing, in order to concrete and evaluate other possible interventions to develop in similar cases and contexts.

Many 16th century Spanish chroniclers and missionaries, arriving at what they interpreted as a New World, saw the Devil as a “hermeneutic wildcard” that allowed them to comprehend indigenous religions. Pedro Cieza de León, a soldier in the conquest of Peru, is a case in point. Cieza considers the Devil responsible for the most aberrant religious practices and customs of the Indians, although he views the natives in a positive light, as men susceptible to divine salvation. From a providentialist perspective of the history of the conquest, Cieza interprets that the evangelization and conversion of the Indians and the implantation of Christian civilization by the Spanish Crown, were able to defeat the Devil.

The secretaries of the secret were an essential element of the Holy Office’s district courts. They were in charge of record-ing and writing all of the official documents of these tribunals, but also of keeping the archive in order. And not only of these, so they were not the simple bureaucrats that the traditional historians wrote about. In fact, their long working hours turned a unique and much defined office into a complex taxonomy of professionals who shared the secretaries of the secret’s concerns but not their privileges. This paper aims to go in depth into these profession-als’ current life. They were not officials, but they take care of some important duties even if they were not getting paid for it.
