Maestros, museos y artes visuales. Construyendo un imaginario educativo

In this article we think about the need to generate spaces of meeting between museum educators and teachers. We analyze the results of different works elaborated by the research group Art and Education, basically in the report of the project maestrosymuseos.com. Red Iberoamericana de educación en museos (AECID A/8780/07), as well as the offers that we have developed. We appear how we see the teachers in his visits, and how they would like to be seen when they submerge in the territory of the museum. We introduce the supposition that the majority of teachers turn into invisible figures on having come to the museum. The methodology is based on the case studies, affecting in the observation, the interviews, and very special in the specific attention towards the protagonists: the teachers. The work introduces photos that they try to investigate in the same aspects that the article text treats, but enriching it with images that can be read in his format and with particular intentions.

Uso del arte y de la creatividad en las terapias psicosociales. Estudio y valoración de resultados de la utilización de la fotografía con pacientes con un trastorno grave y crónico

This article will reveal the experiment and the subsequent investigation work carried out with patients having chronic and severe mental illness at the Creativity and Rehabilitation Workshop of the Mental Health Service at the Health Department no. 12 of the Hospital Francisco de Borja of Gandia, Spain. The course focuses on patient training in the use of photography and image as a means of expression and as a part of psychosocial therapies to improve patients’ quality of life in front of the society. In addition, it tries to enhance the analytic capacity of the patient not only with regards to the photography aesthetically, but also personally. There are many international scientific surveys backing up the knowledge and use of Artistic and Creative Therapy in chronic patients; however, these activities are seen as pioneering actions in Spain given the current health structure, which includes few national psychiatric centers developing them continuously and being temporally monitored. This experiment demonstrates that photography significantly improves the quality of life of chronic patients and motivates them socially to communicate themselves through art, just as it helps them using creativity as a tool for social action.

Collaborative artistic laboratories. Transfrontier spaces of cultural production

The appearance of the open code paradigm and the demands of social movements have permeated the ways in which today’s cultural institutions are organized. This article analyzes the birth of a new critical and cooperative spatiality and how it is transforming current modes of cultural research and production. It centers on the potential for establishing the new means of cooperation that are being tested in what are defined as collaborative artistic laboratories. These are hybrid spaces of research and creation based on networked and cooperative structures producing a new societal-technical body that forces us to reconsider the traditional organic conditions of the productive scenarios of knowledge and artistic practice.

Museums and youth: between misunderstanding and disappointment. Youth perceptions and arguments about the cultural consumption of museums in Chile

Young people are less explored in museum audience research; this is a paradoxical situation when considering its strategic location in the cultural reproduction and if considering the high performing cultural consumption compared with other sectors. The phenomenon of museums consumption by young Chileans who are self recognized as public and non-public museums is explored from a qualitative approach. It was conducted with focus groups in the three largest cities in Chile (Santiago, Valparaíso and Concepción). They identify the museum as a cultural institution in full force. However, in questioning museums activity youth reveal the specificity of their cultural matrix. This is referred to a social temporality based on the fragment, the discourse of familiarity, proximity and instead of breaking and critical. They claim a museum aesthetic / historical experience based on pleasure and enjoyment. An overview is proposed to further clarify the youth cultural consumption to characterize more precisely the place of the museum in the set, to design more effective policies museums.

El patrimonio a través de la educación artística en la etapa de primaria

El área de educación artística en el currículum de primaria ha estado ligada a la enseñanza del patrimonio en las tres últimas décadas y, seguida del área de Ciencias Sociales en sus diferentes denominaciones, ha sido la materia que más se ha ocupado del la enseñanza de nuestro legado cultural, desde la LOGSE, pasando por la LOE hasta la actual LOMCE. Sin embargo, con la última reforma educativa ha sufrido una pérdida de presencia que la sitúa como una materia prescindible, en tanto un alumno puede transitar por toda la etapa de Primaria sin recibir una sola hora de educación artística. En efecto, las CCAA y los centros, en el ejercicio de sus competencias (Artículo 3) pueden decidir no ofertarla o, aun ofertándola, puede no ser elegida de entre otras asignaturas específicas como Segunda Lengua Extranjera, Religión o Valores Sociales y Cívicos.Por todo ello, proponemos un análisis del contenido de las tres grandes leyes generales de educación de las tres últimas décadas -LOGSE, LOE y LOMCE- examinando la presencia del patrimonio en la educación artística, para detectar los enfoques y concepciones subyacentes en los diferentes desarrollos curriculares. Todo ello nos situará ante un escenario, el presente, en el que podremos demandar la recuperación de contenidos o competencias perdidas, pero también promover el máximo aprovechamiento de las que sí se han incluido en el currículum vigente. Por todo ello, proponemos un análisis del contenido de las tres grandes leyes generales de educación de las tres últimas décadas -LOGSE, LOE y LOMCE- examinando la presencia del patrimonio en la educación artística, para detectar los enfoques y concepciones subyacentes en los diferentes desarrollos curriculares. Artistic proposals of visual arts of Ecuador since the second half of the twentieth century to the present

This article is the result of a research that analyzes the most important artistic proposals of Visual Arts in Ecuador, since the second half of the twentieth century to the present. Through literature review and data collection held in the city of Guayaquil, we could determine their influence and impact on the circuit of contemporary art. The instruments used for data collection were depth interviews that were done to experts in the field. Like surveys of attendees at different artistic events (exhibitions, permanent exhibitions, seminars), allowed to establish the social interests of those proposals. The methodology was mixed approach, quantitative and qualitative data were used.

Patrimonio e Identidad en la Investigación Educativa Basada en las Artes desde un Enfoque Multimodal

Este artículo describe dos experiencias de investigación de nuestro grupo interconectadas, la primera desarrollada durante el año 2007 a través del proyecto internacional CALVINO del Programa Cultura 2000 de la Unión Europea, y la segunda implementada durante el año 2014 en el marco del Proyecto Investigación e Innovación en Secundaria en Andalucía (PIIISA). Ambos proyectos tienen en común el eje temático de la identidad a partir de una idea de patrimonio y el hecho de haber puesto en práctica metodologías de investigación basadas en las artes visuales con un enfoque multimodal. Desde estos dos puntos de anclaje relativos a la temática (qué) y a la metodología (cómo) analizamos lo acontecido para obtener conclusiones relevantes que, por una parte, pongan en valor estas prácticas significativas y, por otra, aporten nuestra experiencia para futuras propuestas de investigación en el ámbito temático y/o metodológico.
