IntroducciónAmérica Latina nació al calor de un violento debate teológico y ha vivido su historia, hasta nuestra época, muy teológicamente.Durante el siglo XVI la polémica versaba sobre la justificación ética cristiana de la conquista, los llamados "títulos jurídicos de la colonización". Tres siglos después la independencia iba a ser un violento conflicto teológico-ideológico. Casi sin excepción la jerarquía defendía la monarquía como bíblica y cristiana ("derecho divino de reyes") y denunciaba al impío y fascineroso "republicanismo" que se extendía cual cáncer en las colonias...
