A “COMMODITIZAÇÃO” DO CONHECIMENTO TRADICIONAL: notas sobre o processo de regulamentação jurídica

Resumo Observa-se que a CDB e MP recorreram às “velhas” categorias vinculadas à ordem privada para “enquadrar”  as “novas” situações relacionadas às “populações indígenas” e “comunidades locais”, como são designados esses grupos sociais portadores de identidade étnica. Nesse sentido, o  presente trabalho procura articular a noção de “sujeito de direito” e de “contrato” com intuito de compreender as conseqüências desse processo de regulamentação jurídica do acesso ao conhecimento tradicional associado à biodiversidade,  na medida em que essas transformações tendem a desarticular as relações construídas, ameaçando de forma paradoxal a própria diversidade, que objetiva proteger. Na verdade, trata-se de colocar  em suspenso os dispositivos legais que regulamentam o acesso, sob pena de não conseguirmos apreendê-los.   Abstract It´s observed that CDB and MP resorted to “old” categories bonded to the private law in order to “square” the “new” situations related to “native American communities” and to the “local communities”, how these social groups, which carry ethnic identity, are assigned. In this direction, the present work intents to articulate the notion of “subject of right” and “contract” with the purpose to understand the consequences of the legal regulation process of traditional knowledge access associated to the biodiversity, at the same time that these transformations tend to disarticulate the constructed relations, threatening in a paradoxical way the own diversity that it objectives to protect. In the truth, it´s treated to place the legal devices that regulate the access in suspended, duly warned not to obtain apprehends them.

Fundamentos teóricos del Pensamiento complejo de Edgar Morin

In face of what he considered as the crisis of the Western paradigm of simplification and disjunction, based on the reduction and separation of knowledge, Edgar Morin posited the emergence of a new paradigm of complexity that would attempt to articulate and contextualize scientific, humanistic, and artistic cultures. To accomplish such purpose, Morin argued for an integration of ideas, concepts and notions drawing on different theoretical sources. Approaching complexity has required a dialectic and creative resignification of the legacy of such theories through a new synthesis that both integrates and surpasses them qualitatively.

How to Achieve Professional Skills in Higher Education?

During the last decade, higher education has tried to focus education on the achievement of professional skills. It is interesting to see how the learning strategies implemented may facilitate or make more difficult the achievement of competencies. By dealing with the challenge of a competency-based education approach, higher education points out the need of knowing how to build such competencies, i.e. how to design a learning strategy. Not much importance has been given to this issue, probably because the competencies can be confused with abilities, skills and attitudes and, therefore, the model can be associated to in- or out-of-classroom activities without a strategy to articulate the knowledge acquired with the cultural, social and economic contexts of the community and labor spheres, i.e., as a whole (Tobón, 2005). This paper analyzes the epistemological development of the competency-based approach in higher education, focusing on the implementation of professional competencies in the Sociology degree “Licenciatura en Sociología”, in two campuses of the Universidad Autónoma de Baja California: Ensenada and Mexicali. This paper describes how competencies are built and explores different theoretical trends, their conceptualization and formation, based on in-depth interviews applied to students and teachers. It provides a mixed study to understand, based on the student’s point of view, the achievements of this study program in terms of professional competencies.

O TRABALHO DE CAMPO COMO UM INSTRUMENTO DE TRABALHO PARA O INVESTIGADOR EM GEOGRAFIA AGRÁRIA

Procuramos mostrar, nesse ensaio, como o espaço rural torna-se mais complexo e continuamente subordinado aos interesses da cidade e analisamos algumas características presentes no espaço rural brasileiro e como foram alteradas as relações campo cidade. Destarte, apresentamos o trabalho de campo para auxiliar os investigadores a compreender esses processos, pois esse procedimento nos auxilia a articular a teoria e a prática, devemos, em nossas pesquisas, ir além do gabinete, Assim, faremos, em um primeiro momento, uma explanação sobre as transformações em curso no espaço rural e, posteriormente, teceremos algumas considerações sobre a pratica de trabalho de campo para investigar essas transformações. AbstractThis essay attempts to show how the countryside becomes more complex and grows continuously subordinated to the urban interests. It analyzes some characteristics from the Brazilian rural area, especially how the relationship between the countryside and the city has changed. For that, it presents the field work as a way of helping researchers understand these processes, for it’s a methodological procedure useful to articulate theory and practice and to force researchers go out and beyond their offices. Firstly, an explanation on the current changes in the countryside is made; then, some considerations on the field work practice are made regarding the investigation of theses changes.
