用蒙特卡罗方法仿真了增益随机散射体中的非相干辐射,观察了非相干随机激光的特性。当抽运能量超过一定阈值时,散射体的整体辐射谱突然变窄;随着抽运能量继续增大,在光滑谱背景上会出现分离尖峰;散射体内空间某位置处频率组成不是单一的;辐射谱中某单个频率的空间方向分布和位置分布比较广。增益随机散射体中产生的非相干随机激光本质上既不同于无反馈的普通放大自发辐射,又不同于相干反馈形成的常规激光。解释了非相干随机激光辐射谱上出现分离尖峰的原因,出现这种现象是由于少数光子在增益散射体中经历较多次数散射后得到了相对充分的放大。

为定量分析放大自发辐射(ASE)对调Q激光器性能的影响,在调Q激光速率方程中引入放大自发辐射项。并在合理的近似下求解,给出了激光二极管(LD)端面抽运电光调Q运转的固体激光器反转粒子数的建立过程,分析了放大自发辐射对激光上能级储能效率的影响及考虑放大自发辐射时调Q激光器输出脉冲宽度和脉冲能量随抽运功率的变化关系。结果表明,由于放大自发辐射的存在,上能级储能效率降低,且在一定的抽运功率下,调Q输出脉冲宽度变宽,脉冲能量下降。用LGS(La3Ga5SiO14)晶体作电光调Q元件,在激光二极管抽运的Nd:YVO

报道了一种MOPA式国产单频光纤放大器。该放大器采用连续波单频激光器作为主振荡器,采用我国自行设计和制造的大模场面积掺Yb双包层光纤作为功率放大器,在波长1064 nm处实现了最高7.3 W的连续激光输出,斜率效率为39%,光-光转换效率为26%。此外,对光谱特性及放大的自发发射的抑制也进行了探讨。

The integrated absorption cross section Sigma(abs), I peak emission cross section sigma(cmi), Judd-Ofeld intensity parameters Omega(iota) ( t = 2,4,6), and spontaneous emission probability A(R) of Er3+ ions were determined for Erbium doped alkali and alkaline earth phosphate glasses. It is found the compositional dependence of sigma(emi) 5 almost similar to that of Sigma(abs), which is determined by the sum, of Omega(1) (3 Omega(2) + 10 Omega(4) + 21 Omega(6)). In addition, the compositional dependence of Omega(1) was studied in these glass systems. As a result, compared with. Omega(4) and Omega(6) the Omega(2) has a stronger compositional dependence on the ionic radius and content of modifers. The covalency of Er-O bonds in phosphate glass is weaker than that in silicate glass, germanate glass, aluminate glass, and tellurate glass, since Omega(6) of phosphate glass is relatively large. A(R) is affected by the covalency of the Er3+ ion sites and corresponds to the Omega(6) value.

Er3+-doped lithium-potassium mixed alkali aluminophosphate glasses belonging to the oxide system xK(2)O-(15x)Li2O-4B(2)O(3)-11Al(2)O(3)-5BaO-65P(2)O(5) are obtained in a semi-continuous melting quenching process. Spectroscopic properties of Er3+-doped glass matrix have been analysed by fitting the experimental data with the standard Judd-Ofelt theory. It is observed that Judd-Ofelt intensity parameters-Omega(t)(t=2, 4 and 6) of Er3+ change when the second alkali is introduced into glass matrix. The variation of line strength S-ed[I-4(13/2),I-4(15/2)] follows the same trend as that of the Omega(6) parameter. The effect of mixed alkali on the spectroscopic properties of the aluminophosphate glasses, such as absorption cross-section, stimulated emission cross-section, spontaneous emission probability, branching ratio and the radiative lifetime, has also been investigated in this paper.

The Er3+/Yb3+ co-doped glasses with compositions of xBi(2)O(3)-(65-x)P2O5-4Yb(2)O(3)-11Al(2)O(3)-5BaO-15Na(2)O (where x = 0, 2.5, 5, 7.5 and 10 mol%) were prepared using the normal melt quench technique. The optical absorption spectra of the glasses were recorded in the wavelength range 300-1700 nm. The effect of Bi2O3 content on the thermal stability and absorption spectra of glasses was investigated. In addition, the Judd-Ofelt parameters and oscillator strengths were calculated by employing Judd-Ofelt theory. It was observed that the positions of the fundamental absorption edge and cut-off wavelength shifted towards red as the content of Bi2O3 increased. However, there were no red shifts found both in the peak wavelength and in the center of mass wavelength of all absorption bands with Bi2O3 content increasing. The results of Judd-Ofelt theory analysis showed that Judd-Ofelt parameters Omega(t), (t = 2, 4, 6) changed sharply when Bi2O3 concentration exceeded 5 mol%. The variation trends of experimental oscillator strength were similar with those of Judd-Ofelt parameters as function of Bi2O3 concentrations. Moreover, differential scanning calorimetry experiments showed that the increases of Bi2O3 content weakened the network structure and then lowered the thermal stability of the glasses. The spontaneous emission probability A(rad), branching ratio beta and the radiative lifetime tau(rad) were also calculated and analyzed. The stimulated emission cross-section of Er3+ was calculated according to the McCumber theory. Er3+-doped TeO2-based oxysulfide glasses have been prepared in argon atmosphere in carbon crucibles. The thermal analysis and spectroscopic properties of Er (3+) have been considered in terms of sulfide influence. As a function of composition, we have principally measured optical absorption, spontaneous emission and lifetime measurements. Judd-Ofelt theory was introduced to calculate bandwidth and emission cross-section. The results show the product FVMM x sigma(c) increase from 476.8 8 to 635.04 10(-21) cm(2) nm evidently with the addition of 10 mol% PbS into tellurite glass, which indicates a perfect effect on spectra property of Er3+ ions. A comprehensive study on the thermal stability and spectroscopic properties of Er3+/Yb3+-codoped Al(PO3)(3)-based fluorophosphate glasses is reported of the 1.5μ m fibre amplifiers in this paper. From optical absorption spectra, the Judd-Ofelt parameters of Er3+ in the glasses and several important optical properties, such as the radiative transition probability, the branching ratio and the spontaneous emission probability, have been calculated by using Judd-Ofelt theory. The fluorophosphate glass exhibits broadband near-infrared emission at 1.53μ m with a full width at half-maximum over 63nm, and a large calculated stimulated-emission cross-section of 6.85 x 10(-21)cm(2).

研究了掺铒磷酸盐玻璃波导放大器的特性。利用重叠因子将980nm光抽运的掺铒玻璃波导放大器四能级模型的速率-传输方程进行化简,在考虑上转换效应和放大自发发射的情况下.利用数值模拟的方法,得到了掺铒玻璃波导放大器的增益与Er^3+离子浓度、抽运功率、波导长度等参量之间的关系曲线;同时模拟出放大自发发射曲线并与实验测量结果进行比较。结果表明在考虑上转换效应和放大自发发射的情况下,理论结果和实验测量结果是一致的。同时看到,选择合适的铒离子浓度是制作掺铒玻璃波导放大器的关键;并且为了全面发挥掺铒玻璃波导放大器的性能

The absorption spectra, emission spectra and infrared spectra of Er3+/Yb3+ co-doped xBi(2)O(3)-(65 - x)P2O5-4Yb(2)O(3)-11Al(2)O(3)-5BaO-15Na(2)O were measured and investigated. Spontaneous emission probability, radiative lifetime and branching ratios of Er3+ were calculated according to the Judd-Ofelt theory. The role of substitution of Bi2O3 for P2O5 on luminescence of Er3+/Yb3+ co-doped aluminophosphate glasses has been investigated. The calculated radiative lifetimes (tau(rad)) for I-4(13/2) and I-4(11/2) were decreasing with Bi2O3 content increases, whereas the measured total lifetime (tau(meas)) for I-4(13/2) showed linearly increasing trends. The effect of Bi2O3 introduction on OH- groups was also discussed according to the IR transmittance spectra of glasses. It was found that FWHM of glasses were not affected with the substitution of Bi2O3 for P2O5. The emission spectra intensity increased with Bi2O3 content due to the decreases of phonon energy and OH- content in glasses. (C) 2007 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.

Sm3+-doped yttrium aluminum perovskite (YAP) single crystal was grown by Czochralski (CZ) method. The absorption and fluorescence spectra along the crystallographic axis b were measured at room temperature. Judd-Ofelt theory was used to calculate the intensity parameters (Omega(t)), the spontaneous emission probability, the branching ratio and the radiative lifetime of the state (4)G(5/2). A new kind of Nd3+, -doped high silica glass (SiO2 > 96% (mass fraction)) was obtained by sintering porous glass impregnated with Nd3+, ions. The absorption and luminescence properties of high silica glass doped with different Nd3+, concentrations were studied. The intensity parameters Omega(t) (t = 2, 4, 6), spontaneous emission probability, fluorescence lifetime, radiative quantum efficiency, fluorescence branching ratio, and stimulated emission cross section were calculated using the Judd-Ofelt theory. The optimal Nd3+ concentration in high silica glass was 0.27% (mole fraction) because of its high quantum efficiency and emission intensity. By comparing the spectroscopic parameters with other Nd3+ doped oxide glasses and commercial silicate glasses, the Nd3+-doped high silica glasses are likely to be a promising material used for high power and high repetition rate lasers.

应用中频感应提拉法生长出掺杂浓度为2%原子分数的Sm:GdVO4晶体,研究了室温下c轴方向Sm:GdVO4晶体的吸收和荧光光谱。通过J-O理论计算出强度参数(Ωt),同时计算了对应于4G5/2能级的自发跃迁几率、荧光分支比和辐射寿命。通过荧光光谱计算了对应于566、604和646nm三个发射峰对应的发射截面,结果表明,Sm:GdVO4在604nm的发射截面最大,是掺Sm:YAP在607nm处发射截面的4.4倍。
