采用水声学方法对中华鲟在葛洲坝产卵场的空间分布进行探测.采用改进的感性判别方法并结合逐步判别分析方法对中华鲟及其他目标的回声信号进行判断分析.结果表明,近3年间在葛洲坝产卵场共探测到中华鲟声信号25个,中华鲟声信号判断的准确率为90.9%.本文选用了67个声信号描述变量,逐步判别分析确定了24个对判别有贡献的变量.采用PCA分析结合判别分析对中华鲟回声信号判别模式进行探索,结果显示,目标信号活动行为的描述参数、回波特征参数及信号的声学截面反射特征可作为中华鲟、其他鱼类与水下噪音信号的判别参量,但是无法作为

用营养状态指数法 (TSI)对江西省红壤区余江县东塘、五湖、仙塘三个水库的水质状况进行综合评价 ,结果表明三个水体的水质状况均呈富营养态。在此基础上对三个水库的 1 0项主要水化学指标进行主成分分析 ,表明亚硝态氮和氨氮对第一主成分的贡献最大 ,COD为第二主成分的主要贡献者 ;而且三个水库的水质受水中有机物含量的影响最大 ,这一结果与当地的农业结构密切相关

使用 2 0个随机引物对日本和中国辽宁产中华细鲫、日本产Hemigrammocyprissp .和中国产稀有鲫各 4个个体的随机扩增 ,得到了大量DAN多态片段。通过Rapdplot程序将DAN的多态片段转换成遗传距离 (d =1 -S ,S =2NxNy/Nx +Ny)。该遗传距离的矩阵经Phylip软件包中Neighbor程序计算 ,生成了四个物种的相互关系分支图。从图中可以看出 ,分布于日本和中华细鲫有较近的遗传距离 ,然后是Hemigrammocypris,最后是稀有鲫。该结果说明分布于日本和

针簇多肢轮虫(Polyarthra trigla)是武汉东湖的优势轮虫,1983,5—1984,4在Ⅰ,Ⅱ站分别测定了这种轮虫卵和种群密度。Ⅰ站卵的密度在0—245个/升之间,平均为27个/升,种群密度为0—6600个/升,平均为362个/升;Ⅱ站卵的密度为0—321个/升,平均为22个/升,种群密度为0—2770个/升,平均为159个/升。在5—30℃的培养温度下,卵的发育时间随温度升高而缩短,它们间的关系可用下列回归方程表示: lnD=0.4627+1.2929lnT-0.4995(lnT)~2 用直

Although Anabaena is one of the most prevalent planktonic freshwater genus in China, there are few taxonomic reports of Anabaena strains by morphology and genetics. In this study, morphological characteristics and phylogenetic relationships of seven Anabaena strains isolated from two plateau lakes, Lakes Dianchi and Erhai, were investigated. Morphological characteristics such as morphology of filament, cellular shapes and sizes, relative position of heterocytes and akinetes, and presence or absence of aerotopes, were described for these seven strains. Phylogenetic relationships were determined by constructing 16S rRNA gene tree using the neighbor-joining algorithm. The seven strains were morphologically identified as three groups, and phylogenetic analysis based on 16S rRNA gene sequences also showed that these seven strains were in three groups. Strains EH-2, EH-3, and EH-4 were in group A belonging to the Anabaena circinalis and A. crassa group, and strains DC-1, DC-2, and EH-1 were in group B and identified as A. flos-aquae. Strain DC-3 without aerotopes was significantly different from the other isolated strains and was determined as A. cylindrica.

Genetic linkage maps were constructed for large yellow croaker Pseudosciaena crocea (Richardson, 1846) using AFLP and microsatellite markers in an F-1 family. Five hundred and twenty-three AFLP markers and 36 microsatellites were genotyped in the parents and 94 F-1 progeny. Among these, 362 AFLP markers and 13 SSR markers followed the 1:1 Mendelian segregation ratio (P > 0.05). The female genetic map contained 181 AFLP and 7 microsatellite markers forming 24 linkage groups spanning 2959.1 cM, while the male map consisted of 153 AFLP and 8 microsatellite markers in 23 linkage groups covering 2205.7 cM. One sex linked marker was mapped to the male map and co-segregated with the AFLP marker agacta355, suggesting an XY-male determination mechanism and this may be useful in the breeding of monosex populations. A 11-week growth trial was conducted in a flow-through system with juvenile gibel carp Carassius auratus gibelio to evaluate the effects of gradual replacement of fish meal (FM) by meat and bone meal (MBM) on growth performance, phosphorus (P) and nitrogen (N) loading. Six isonitrogenous (crude protein: 410 g kg(-1)) and isoenergetic (gross energy: 18 kJ g(-1)) diets were formulated. FM was used as the control protein. In the other five diets, 20, 40, 60, 80 and 100% FM protein was substituted with MBM20, MBM40, MBM60, MBM80, MBM100, respectively. Total P content in the diets ranged from 16.0 to 28.3 g kg(-1) and the available P was 5.0-6.6 g kg(-1). The results showed that the best growth was achieved with fish fed on the control diet and MBM20. Final body weight, weight gain, feed efficiency, protein retention efficiency and energy retention efficiency decreased with increased dietary MBM. No significant differences were found in the feeding rate and hepatosomatic index between the groups. Apparent digestibility coefficient (ADC) of dry matter, protein and P decreased with increase in dietary MBM, while there were no significant differences in the ADC of energy. P and N retention decreased linearly while P and N loading increased linearly with the increased dietary MBM levels. No significant differences were observed in the activity of alkaline phosphatase, aspartate aminotransferase and alanine aminotransferase, as well as pyruvate kinase in liver or in serum. Total superoxide dismutase activity in MBM20 was significantly higher than that of MBM100.

The family Sisoridae is one of the largest and most diverse Asiatic catfish families, most species occurring in the water systems of the Qinhai-Tibetan Plateau and East Himalayas. To date published morphological and molecular phylogenetics hypotheses of sisorid catfishes are part congruent, and there are some areas of significant disagreement with respect to intergeneric relationships. We used mitochondrial cytochrome b and 16S rRNA gene sequences to clarify existing gaps in phylogenetics and to test conflicting vicariant and dispersal biogeographical hypotheses of Chinese sisorids using dispersal-vicariance analysis and weighted ancestral area analysis in combination with palaeogeographical data as well as molecular clock calibration. Our results suggest that: (1) Chinese sisorid catfishes form a monophyletic group with two distinct clades, one represented by (Gagata (Bagarius, Glyptothorax)) and the other by (glyptosternoids, Pseudecheneis); (2) the glyptosternoid is a monophyletic group and Glyptosternum, Glaridoglanis, and Exostoma are three basal species having a primitive position among it; (3) a hypothesis referring to Pseudecheneis as the sister group of the glyptosternoids, based on morphological evidence, is supported; (4) the genus Pareuchiloglanis, as presently defined, is not monophyletic; (5) congruent with previous hypotheses, the uplift of Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau played a primary role in the speciation and radiation of the Chinese sisorids; and (6) an evolutionary scenario combining aspects of both vicariance and dispersal theory is necessary to explain the distribution pattern of the glyptosternoids. In addition, using a cytochrome b substitution rate of 0.91% per million years and 0.23% for 16S rRNA, we tentatively date that the glyptosternoids most possibly originated in Oligocene-Miocene boundary (19-24Myr), and radiated from Miocene to Pleistocene, along with a center of origin in the Irrawaddy-Tsangpo drainages and several rapid speciation in a relatively short time. Gastric mills of 362 specimens of two-year-old Chinese mitten crab (Eriocheir sinensis), which contained recognizable food items, from Lake Bao'an, China were examined. The food items were macrophytes, algae, arthropods, oligochaetes, fish, protozoa, rotifers, gastropods, and detritus, and the percent frequencies of occurrence (FO) for these items were 87.3%, 82.0%, 48.2%, 28.2%, 28.7%, 0.3%, 0.6%, 0.3% and 88.7%, respectively. Unidentified animal tissue was often observed and had a FO of 46.1%. In total, FO of plants (macrophytes + algae) was 87.7% and of animals was 89.8%. However, 5.8% of the gastric mills contained only animals, 5.3% had only macrophytes, and 0.3% contained only algae. There was no significant difference (p>0.05) in food habits between male and female crabs. The ratio of cell number of macrophytes to algae was about 156:1.

A software has been developed for the peak recognition of 136 polychlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxins (PCDD) and polychlorinated dibenzofurans (PCDF) after high resolution gas chromatography coupled with mass spectrometry (HRGC/HRMS). Based on the retention times of C-13 labelled 2,3,7,8-substituted PCDD/F internal standards, the retention times of all PCDD and PCDF can be calibrated automatically and accurately. Therefore, it is very convenient to identify the peaks by comparing the retention of samples and the calibrated retention times of their chromatograms. Hence, this approach is very significant because it is impossible to obtain always a standard chromatogram and PCDD/F analysis are very expensive and time consuming. The calibration results can be transferred to Excel for calculation. The approach is a first step to store costly and environmentally relevant data for future application.

Planar graphite has been extensively studied by Raman scattering for years. A comparative Raman study of several different and less common non-planar graphitic materials is given here. New kinds of graphite whiskers and tubular graphite cones (synthetic and natural) have been introduced. Raman spectroscopy has been applied to the characterization of natural graphite crystal edge planes, an individual graphite whisker graphite polyhedral crystals and tubular graphite cones. Almost all of the observed Raman modes were assigned according to the selection rules and the double-resonance Raman mechanism. The polarization properties related to the structural features, the line shape of the first-order dispersive mode and its combination modes, the frequency variation of some modes in different carbon materials and other unique Raman spectral features are discussed here in detail.

We have studied the temperature dependence of absorption edge of GaN thin films grown on sapphire substrate by metal-organic chemical vapor deposition using optical absorption spectroscopy. A shift in absorption edge of about 55 meV has been observed in temperature range 273-343 K. We have proposed a theoretical model to find the energy gap from absorption coefficient using alpha = alpha(max) + (alpha(min) - alpha(max))/[1 + exp 2(E - E-g + KT)/KT]. Temperature dependence of band gap has also been studied by finding an appropriate theoretical fit to our data using E-g(T) = E-g(273 K) - (8.8 x 10(-4)T(2))/(483 + T) + 0.088 (Varshni empirical formula) and E-g(T) = E-g(273 K)-0.231447/[exp(362/T)-1] + 0.082 relations. It has been found that data can be fitted accurately after adding a factor similar to 0.08 in above equations. Debye temperature (483 K) and Einstein temperature (362 K) in the respective equations are found mutually in good agreement.

In this paper. we investigate the influences of the initial nitridation of sapphire substrates on the optical and structural characterizations in GaN films. Two GaN samples with and without 3 min nitridation process were investigated by photoluminescence (PL) spectroscopy in the temperature range of 12-300 K and double-crystal X-ray diffraction (XRD). In the 12 K PL spectra of the GaN sample without nitridation, four dominant peaks at 3.476, 3.409 3.362 and 3.308 eV were observed, which were assigned to donor bound exciton, excitons bound to stacking faults and extended structural defects. In the sample with nitridation, three peaks at 3.453, 3.365. and 3.308 eV were observed at 12 K, no peak related to stacking faults. XRD results at different reflections showed that there are more stacking faults in the samples without nitridation.
