利用Gauss光束通过光学系统的变换规律,将激光二极管阵列发出的光作为Gauss光束处理.应用矩阵光学方法,解析分析与数值模拟相结合,给出了激光二极管阵列侧面泵浦棒状固体激光介质内泵浦光的强度分布.比较了侧面环绕激光二极管阵列数量不同时泵浦光分布的均匀性;以及考虑准直系统后,不同准直透镜焦距时,晶体内泵浦光半径的大小;同时针对泵浦光在晶体内聚焦时的情况进行了简单讨论.将半解析法与光线追迹法所得结果进行了比较,二者十分相近,但前者计算要简单得多.

The heat generation in a flashlamp-pumped Nd:glass disk amplifier is studied by the simulation of the whole pumping process, which is based on the ray-tracing method. The results of temperature rise distribution as well as gain distribution are presented. The evolution of heat generation in disk during the pumping process is discussed in detail. Some main factors related with the thermal effect, such as the quantum efficiency, fluorescence lifetime, and pulse duration, are investigated through studying the ratio of the heat generation to energy storage in the gain medium. The influence of each parameter on heat generation is studied carefully, and the results provide ways to decrease the heat generation during the pumping process. 激光二极管抽运的全固态激光器中,除了激光介质的温度分布和热透镜效应以外,抽运、冷却结构对获得高光束质量、高功率激光输出至关重要。基于热传导方程,在相同的抽运功率和传导冷却边界条件下,对单侧面抽运锯齿形(zigzag)板条、单侧面键合锯齿形板条、部分抽运板条三种不同抽运结构的温度分布、热致应力、温度导致的折射率变化进行了详细的分析,并通过光线追迹方法,比较了光束在锯齿形面内和垂直于锯齿形面内的光程差,由光程差曲线分析了激光束的热透镜效应。对三种抽运结构的端面温度、端面变形和端面变形导致的光程差也进行了对比分

本研究用PHA 2L 顺行追踪法观察了树鼠句内侧隔核ö斜角带核垂直部到海马的投射。结果表明: (1) 海马内PHA 2L 标记 纤维根据形态特点可分为两种类型: É 型纤维较粗, 分支多, 有形态较大、数量较少的终末终扣; Ê 型纤维纤细, 分支少, 有较多、 较小的通过型终扣(boutons en passant)。(2) 内侧隔核ö斜角带核垂直部到海马的投射存在着以下体部定位关系: 一侧向双侧海 马均有投射, 以同侧投射明显占优势; 内侧隔核吻侧部主要投射到背侧海马和腹侧海马后部, 内侧隔核尾侧部主要投射到腹侧海 马前部; 背侧海马齿状回内的投射纤维几乎都来自内侧隔核。(3) 根据注射部位的不同, É、Ê 型纤维在背侧海马的分布有差异, 其中内侧隔核吻侧部到背侧海马的纤维几乎均为É 型纤维, 而斜角带核垂直部到背侧海马的纤维既有É 型纤维又有Ê 型纤维。 (4) 背侧海马和腹侧海马内É 型纤维的终扣结构极有可能与锥体细胞和颗粒细胞构成突触。本研究结果为进一步认识内侧隔核ö 斜角带核垂直部- 海马通路提供了新的形态学依据。

To investigate germline development and germ cell specification, we identified a Dazl homolog (CagDazl) from gynogenetic gibel carp (Carassius auratus gibelio). Its cDNA sequence and BAC clone sequence analyses revealed the genomic organization conservation and conserved synteny of the Dazl family members and their neighborhood genes among vertebrates, especially in fish. Moreover, a polyclonal antibody specific to CagDazl was produced and used to examine its expression and distribution throughout germline development at protein level. Firstly, ovary-specific expression pattern of CagDazl was confirmed in adult tissues by RT-PCR and Western blot. In addition, in situ hybridization and immunofluorescence localization demonstrated its specific expression in germ cells, and both its transcript and protein were localized to germ plasm. Then, co-localization of CagDazl and mitochondrial cloud was found, confirming that CagDazl transcript and its protein are germ plasm component and move via METRO pathway during oogenesis. Furthermore, the CagDazl is abundant and continuous throughout germline development and germ cell specification including primordial germ cell (PGC) formation, oogonium differentiation, oocyte development, and embryogenesis, and the dynamic distribution occurs at different development stages. The data suggest that maternal CagDazl might play an important role in gibel carp PGC formation. Therefore, CagDazl is a useful and specific marker for tracing germ plasm and germ cell development in the gynogenetic gibel carp. In addition, in comparison with previous studies in sexual reproduction species, the continuous and dynamic distribution of CagDazl protein in the germ plasm throughout the life cycle seems to have significant implication in sex evolution of vertebrates. Large tumor suppressor (Lats) is a Ser/Thr kinase, and it presents an important function in tumor suppression. lats was originally identified in Drosophila and recently in mammals. In mammals, it contains two homologues, lats1 and lats2. In the present study, lats1 and lats2 were characterized from zebrafish (Danio rerio), which is the first report of lats in a nonmammalian vertebrate. The primary structure, genomic organization, and phylogenesis of lats from different species were studied, and the results suggest that lats1 is the direct descendant of invertebrate lats, whereas lats2 is formed by genome duplication. In zebrafish, both lats genes are maternally expressed, while they show distinctly different expression profiles during gastrulation. lats1 is almost ubiquitously expressed through development, and lats2 is more prominently expressed in the non-neural ectoderm region of zebrafish gastrula. Most intriguingly, as revealed by cell tracing and gene expression analysis, morpholino-mediated knockdown of either lats1 or lats2 led to obvious defects of cell migration in gastrulation, indicating the functional significance of lats in gastrulation movements. Vasa is essential for germline development. However, the precise processes in which vasa involves vary considerably in diverse animal phyla. Here we show that vasa is required for primordial germ cell (PGC) migration in the medakafish. vasa knockdown by two morpholinos led to the PGC migration defect that was rescued by coinjection of Vasa RNA. Interestingly, Vasa knockdown did not alter the PGC number, identity, proliferation and motility even at ectopic locations. We established a cell culture system for tracing PGCs at the single cell level in vitro. In this culture system, control and morpholino-injected gastrulae produced the same PGC number and the same time course of PGC survival. importantly, vasa-depleted PGCs in culture had similar motility and locomotion to normal PGCs. Expression patterns of wt1a, sdf1b and cxcT4b in migratory tissues remained unchanged by Vasa knockdown. By chimera formation we show that PGCs from vasa-depleted blastulae failed to migrate properly in the normal environment, whereas control PGCs migrated normally in vasa-disrupted embryos. Furthermore, ectopic PGCs in vasa-depleted embryos also retained all the PGC properties examined. Taken together, medaka vasa is cell-autonomously required for PGC migration, but dispensable to PGC proliferation, motility, identity and survival. (C) 2009 Elsevier Ireland Ltd. Studies have attributed several functions to the Eaf family, including tumor suppression and eye development. Given the potential association between cancer and development, we set forth to explore Eaf1 and Eaf2/U19 activity in vertebrate embryogenesis, using zebrafish. In situ hybridization revealed similar eaf1 and eaf2/u19 expression patterns. Morpholino-mediated knockdown of either eaf1 or eaf2/u19 expression produced similar morphological changes that could be reversed by ectopic expression of target or reciprocal-target mRNA. However, combination of Eaf1 and Eaf2/U19 (Eafs)-morpholinos increased the severity of defects, suggesting that Eaf1 and Eaf2/U19 only share some functional redundancy. The Eafs knockdown phenotype resembled that of embryos with defects in convergence and extension movements. Indeed, knockdown caused expression pattern changes for convergence and extension movement markers, whereas cell tracing experiments using kaeda mRNA showed a correlation between Eafs knockdown and cell migration defects. Cardiac and pancreatic differentiation markers revealed that Eafs knockdown also disrupted midline convergence of heart and pancreatic organ precursors. Noncanonical Wnt signaling plays a key role in both convergence and extension movements and midline convergence of organ precursors. We found that Eaf1 and Eaf2/U19 maintained expression levels of wnt11 and wnt5. Moreover, wnt11 or wnt5 mRNA partially rescued the convergence and extension movement defects occurring in eafs morphants. Wnt11 and Wnt5 converge on rhoA, so not surprisingly, rhoA mRNA more effectively rescued defects than either wnt11 or wnt5 mRNA alone. However, the ectopic expression of wnt11 and wnt5 did not affect eaf1 and eaf2/u19 expression. These data indicate that eaf1 and eaf2/u19 act upstream of noncanonical Wnt signaling to mediate convergence and extension movements.

The effect of implanting nitrogen into buried oxide on the top gate oxide hardness against total irradiation does has been investigated with three nitrogen implantation doses (8 x 10(15), 2 x 10(16) and 1 x 10(17) cm(-2)) for partially depleted SOI PMOSFET. The experimental results reveal the trend of negative shift of the threshold voltages of the studied transistors with the increase of nitrogen implantation dose before irradiation. After the irradiation with a total dose of 5 x 10(5) rad(Si) under a positive gate voltage of 2V, the threshold voltage shift of the transistors corresponding to the nitrogen implantation dose 8 x 10(15) cm(-2) is smaller than that of the transistors without implantation. However, when the implantation dose reaches 2 x 10(16) and 1 x 10(17) cm(-2), for the majority of the tested transistors, their top gate oxide was badly damaged due to irradiation. In addition, the radiation also causes damage to the body-drain junctions of the transistors with the gate oxide damaged. All the results can be interpreted by tracing back to the nitrogen implantation damage to the crystal lattices in the top silicon.

The structure of micro-LEDs was optimized designed. Optical, electrical and thermal characteristics of micro-LEDs were improved. The optimized design make micro-LEDs suitable for high-power device. The light extraction efficiency of micro-LEDs was analyzed by the means of ray tracing. The results shows that increasing the inclination angle of sidewall and height of mesa, and reducing the absorption of p and n electrode can enhance the light extraction efficiency of micro-LEDs. Furthermore, the total light output power can be boosted by increasing the density of micro-structures on the device. The high-power flip-chip micro-LEDs were fabricated, which has higher quantum efficiency than conventional BALED's. When the number of microstructure in micro-LEDs was increased by 57%, the light output power was enhanced 24%. Light output power is 82.88mW at the current of 350mA and saturation current is up to 800mA, all of these are better than BALED which was fabricated in the same epitaxial wafer. The IN characteristics of micro-LEDs are almost identical to BALED.

We investigate the relation between the thickness of sapphire substrates and the extraction efficiency of LED. The increasing about 5% was observed in the simulations and experiments when the sapphire thickness changed from 100um to 200um. But the output power increasing is inconspicuous when the thickness is more than 200um. The structure on bottom face of sapphire substrates can enhance the extraction efficiency of GaN-based LED, too. The difference of output power between the flip-chip LED with smooth bottom surface and the LED with roughness bottom surface is about 50%, where only a common sapphire grinding process is used. But for those LEDs grown on patterned sapphire substrate the difference is only about 10%. Another kind of periodic pattern on the bottom of sapphire is fabricated by the dry etch method, and the output of the back-etched LEDs is improved about 50% than a common. case.

The mechanism of beam splitting and principle of wide-field-of-view compensation of modified Savart polariscope in the wide-field-of-view polarization interference imaging spectrometer (WPIIS) are analyzed and discussed. Formulas for the lateral displacement and optical path difference (OPD) produced by the modified Savart polariscope are derived by ray-tracing method. The theoretical and practical guidance is thereby provided for the study, design, modulation, experiment and engineering of the polarization interference imaging spectrometers and other birefringent Fourier-transform spectrometers based on Savart polariscopes. 对于坡面细沟与细沟间侵蚀过程的了解是建立侵蚀预报模型的基础,但传统方法难以对其进行深入研究。利用7Be示踪技术并结合人工模拟降雨,考虑坡脚沉积作用,研究了25°坡耕地径流小区次降雨过程中细沟与细沟间侵蚀动态。结果表明:根据流出径流小区泥沙7Be含量变化计算坡面明显细沟出现时间,由于坡脚沉积作用使得A、B两试验小区这一时间比实际细沟出现分别延迟了45min和11min;根据坡面-侵蚀泥沙中7Be总量守恒和泥沙质量平衡原理,坡面细沟间侵蚀及细沟侵蚀在坡面总侵蚀、坡脚沉积区泥沙及流出径流小区泥沙中的比例被定量区分开;总体上,细沟间侵蚀量在径流泥沙中的比例逐渐减少,而细沟侵蚀量逐渐增加。两试验小区中7Be示踪计算坡面细沟侵蚀量和坡脚沉积量与实测值相比相对误差均较小,因此7Be示踪技术可以对土壤侵蚀进行较为准确地定量研究。

In a practical coupling system, a cylindrical microlens is used to collimate the emission of a high powerlaser diode (LD) in the dimension perpendicular to the junction plane. Using passive alignment, the LD isplaced in the focus of the cylindrical microlens generally, regardless of the performance of the multimodeoptical fiber and the LD. In this paper, a more complete analysis is arrived at by ray-tracing technique,by which the angle θ of the ray after refraction is computed as a function of the angle θo of the ray beforerefraction. The focus of the cylindrical microlens is not always the optimal position of the LD. In fact, inorder to achieve a higher coupling efficiency, the optimal distance from the LD to the cylindrical microlensis dependent on not only the radius R and the index of refraction n of the cylindrical microlens, but alsothe divergence angle of the LD in the dimension perpendicular to the junction plane and the numericalaperture (NA) of the multimode optical fiber. The results of this discussion are in good agreement withexperimental results.
