The ultra-thin modified PEO (polyethylene oxide)-LiClO4 polymer electrolyte film (50-mu-m) was obtained by solution-casting technique. Impedance spectra were taken on the cells consisting of above PEO film electrolyte and ion-blocking or nonblocking electrodes. The ambient conductivity as high as 1.33 X 10(-4)S cm-1 could be achieved for PEO electrolyte modified by the crosslinking. It was shown that the resistance at the interface between solid polymer electrolyte and lithium electrode is growing with increasing the storage time. At high temperature, as 96-degrees-C, the ionic transport is clearly controlled by diffusion.

The crystal structure of the title compound was determined from single crystal X-ray diffraction at -90-degrees-C. The complex crystallizes in the tetragonal P4/mnc, Z = 2, a = 12.515(3), c = 17.636(7) angstrom. The structure was solved by Patterson and Fourier techniques and refined by least-squares to R = 0.061 for 788 reflections. The central PO4 is disordered, P-O = 1.54 angstrom, M(M = Mo or V) is 6-coordinate, M-O = 1.62-2.48 angstrom, K is 7-coordinate, K-O = 2.84-3.10 angstrom.

The reaction of GdCl3 with 1 equiv of NaC5Me5 generates a neutral complex C5Me5GdCl2(THF)3 and a novel complex {Na(mu-2-THF)[(C5Me5)Gd(THF)]2(mu-2-Cl)3(mu-3-Cl)2}2.6THF whixh recrystallizes from THF in triclinic, the space group P1BAR with unit cell dimentions of a 12.183(4), b 13.638(6), c 17.883(7) angstrom, alpha-110.38(3), beta-94.04(3), gamma-99.44(3)-degrees, V 2721.20 angstrom-3 and D(calc) 1.43 g cm-3 for Z = 1. Least-squares refinement of 2170 observed reflections led to a final R value of 0.047. The title complex consists of two Na(mu-2-THF)[(C5Me5)Gd(THF)]2(mu-3-Cl)3(mu-3-Cl)2 units bridged together via two mu-2-THF to Na coordination. Each Gd ion is surrounded by one C5Me5 ligand, two mu-3-Cl, two mu-2-Cl and one THF in a distorted octahedral arrangement with average Gd-C(ring) 2.686(33), Gd-mu-2-Cl 2.724(7), Gd-mu-3-Cl 2.832(8) and Gd-O 2.407(11) angstrom. The sodium ion coordinates to two bridging THF, two mu-2-Cl and two mu-3-Cl to form a distorted octahedron with average Na-mu-2-O, Na-mu-2-Cl and Na-mu-3-Cl of 2.411(21), 2.807(15) and 2.845(12) angstrom, respectively.

用X射线单晶衍射方法测定了ZnVB_1晶体结构。晶体属单斜晶系,空间群为C2/c;α=25.747(5),b=8.461(0),c=17.407(3)A;β=105.79(1)°,Z=8。晶体结构是用Patterson函数法与Fourier计算得到,最后的R=0.0283。金属锌离子与嘧啶环上的N(1)原子以及三个氯离子键合,形成四配位的络合物。配位多面体是稍有扭曲的四面体。Zn—Cl键的平均距离为2.266A,Zn—N键长为2.041(4)A。

Complete mitochondrial genome plays an important role in the accurate revelation of phylogenetic relationships among metazoans. Here we present the complete mitochondrial genome sequence from a sea cucumber Apostichopus japonicus (Echinodermata: Holothuroidea), which is the first representative from the subclass Aspidochirotacea. The mitochondrial genome of A. japonicus is 16,096 bp in length. The heavy strand consists of 31.8% A, 20.2% C, 17.9% G, and 30.1% T bases (AT skew = 0.027: GC skew = 0.062). It contains thirteen protein-coding genes (PCGs), twenty-two transfer RNA genes, and two ribosomal RNA genes. There are a total of 3793 codons in all thirteen mitochondrial PCGs, excluding incomplete termination codons. The most frequently used amino acid is Leu (15.77%), followed by Set (9.73%), Met (8.62%), Phe (7.94%), and Ala (7.28%). Intergenetic regions in the mitochondrial genome of A. japonicus are 839 bp in total, with three relatively large regions of Unassigned Sequences (UAS) greater than 100 bp. The gene order of A. japonicus is identical to that observed in the five studied sea urchins, which confirms that the gene order shared by the two classes (Holothuroidea and Echinoidea) is a ground pattern of echinoderm mitochondrial genomes. Bayesian tree based on the cob gene supports the following relationship: (outgroup, (Crinoids, (Asteroids, Ophiuroids, (Echinoids, Holothuroids)))). (C) 2009 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.

A Gram-negative, nonmotile, aerobic and oxidase- and catalase-positive bacterium,, designated D25(T), was isolated from the deep-sea sediments of the southern Okinawa Trough area. Phylogenetic analyses of 16S rRNA gene sequences showed that strain D25(T), fell within the genus Myroides, with 99.2%, 96.0% and 93.4% sequence similarities to the only three recognized species of Myroides. However, the DNA-DNA similarity Value between strain D25(T) and its nearest neighbour Myroides odoratimimus JCM 7460(T) was only 49.9% ( < 70%). Several phenotypic properties could be used to distinguish strain D25(T) from other Myroides species. The main cellular fatty acids of strain D25(T) were iso-C-15:0, iso-C-17:1 omega 9C, iso-C(17:0)3-OH and Summed Feature 3 (comprising C-16:1 omega 7c and/or iso-C(15:0)2-OH). The major respiratory quinone was MK-6. The DNA G+C content was 33.0 mol%. The results of the polyphasic taxonomy analysis suggested that strain D251(T) represents a novel species of the genus Myroides, for which the name Myroides profundi sp. nov. is proposed. The type strain is D25(T) (=CCTCC M 208030(T) = DSM 19823(T)).

The present study examined the influence of air exposure at different temperatures: a common perturbation associated with aquaculture handling practices, on immune responses in zhikong scallop Chlamys farreri. Scallops were exposed to air for 2 h, 6 h, 12 h and 24 h at 5 degrees C, 17 degrees C and 25 degrees C respectively. Thereafter, a recovery period of 24 h at 17 degrees C was applied. Haemocyte mortality, phagocytosis and reactive oxygen species (ROS) production of haemocytes, acid phosphatase (ACP) and superoxide dismutase (SOD) activity in haemocyte lysates were chosen as immumomarkers of anoxic stress. The results showed that an increase of haemocyte mortality and a decrease of phagocytosis and ACP activity were observed after 2 h of air exposure for all temperatures tested. Moreover, a significant increase of ROS production occurred following 2 h of air exposure at 25 degrees C and 24 h of air exposure at 17 degrees C. Significant differences were also observed in haemocyte mortality, percentage of phagocytic cells and ACP and SOD activity depending on the temperature of air exposure. Finally, after 24 h of recovery at 17 degrees C, percentage of phagocytic haemocytes and ACP activity did not return to initial values. ROS production was significantly higher than before the recovery period and initial values for scallops subjected to air exposure at 5 degrees C. In our study, scallops showed a relative low anoxia tolerance under a high temperature. All the scallops air exposed to 25 degrees C died after the 6 h sampling. In conclusion, air exposure associated to aquaculture practices was demonstrated to strongly affect functional immune activities of scallop haemocytes, and high temperature air exposure caused reduced survival of scallops. 利用反相高效液相色谱法,采用Supelcosil LC-18色谱柱(250 mm * 4.6 mm i.d.,5μm ),以甲醇-0.05 mol/L KH_2PO_4缓冲液(体积比为20:80)为流动相,流速0.8 mL/min,在254 nm波长处检测,对生活在高原(海拔2.3 km)的习服大鼠肝组织中脱氧核糖核酸(DNA)的碱基含量进行了检测,发现各碱基在DNA中所占的比例是相对稳定的:腺嘌呤(A)28.8%、鸟嘌呤(G)23.3%、胞嘧啶(C)17.4%、胸腺嘧啶(T)25.3%,并利用内标法对DNA甲基化水平进行了测定。

A novel actinomycete strain, designated YIM 002(T), was isolated from a desert soil sample in Gansu Province, north-west China. This actinomycete isolate formed well-differentiated aerial and substrate mycelia. In the early stages of growth, the substrate mycelia fragmented into short or elongated rods. Chemotaxonomically, it contained LL-2,6-diaminopimelic acid in the cell wall. The cell-wall sugars contained ribose and glucose. Phospholipids present were phosphatidylinositol mannosides, phosphatidylinositol and diphosphatidylglycerol. MK-9(H-4) was the predominant menaquinone. The major fatty acids were anteiso C-15:0 (35.92%), anteiso C-17:0 (15.84%), iso C-15:0 (10.40%), iso C-16:0 (7.07%) and C(17:10)w8c (9.37%). The G+C content of the DNA was 70 mol%. Phylogenetic analysis and signature nucleotide data based on 16S rRNA gene sequences showed that strain YIM 002(T) is distinct from all recognized genera of the family Nocardioidaceae in the suborder Propionibacterineae. On the basis of the phenotypic and genotypic characteristics, it is proposed that isolate YIM 002(T) be classified as a novel species in a new genus, Jiangella gansuensis gen. nov., sp. nov. The type strain is YIM 002(T) (= DSM 44835(T) = CCTCC AA 204001(T) = KCTC 19044(T)).

Describes a series of experiments in the Joint European Torus (JET), culminating in the first tokamak discharges in deuterium-tritium fuelled mixture. The experiments were undertaken within limits imposed by restrictions on vessel activation and tritium usage. The objectives were: (i) to produce more than one megawatt of fusion power in a controlled way; (ii) to validate transport codes and provide a basis for accurately predicting the performance of deuterium-tritium plasmas from measurements made in deuterium plasmas; (iii) to determine tritium retention in the torus systems and to establish the effectiveness of discharge cleaning techniques for tritium removal; (iv) to demonstrate the technology related to tritium usage; and (v) to establish safe procedures for handling tritium in compliance with the regulatory requirements. A single-null X-point magnetic configuration, diverted onto the upper carbon target, with reversed toroidal magnetic field was chosen. Deuterium plasmas were heated by high power, long duration deuterium neutral beams from fourteen sources and fuelled also by up to two neutral beam sources injecting tritium. The results from three of these high performance hot ion H-mode discharges are described: a high performance pure deuterium discharge; a deuterium-tritium discharge with a 1% mixture of tritium fed to one neutral beam source; and a deuterium-tritium discharge with 100% tritium fed to two neutral beam sources. The TRANSP code was used to check the internal consistency of the measured data and to determine the origin of the measured neutron fluxes. In the best deuterium-tritium discharge, the tritium concentration was about 11% at the time of peak performance, when the total neutron emission rate was 6.0 × 1017 neutrons/s. The integrated total neutron yield over the high power phase, which lasted about 2 s, was 7.2 × 1017 neutrons, with an accuracy of ±7%. The actual fusion amplification factor, QDT was about 0.15

gamma-LiAlO2 (LAO) single crystal has been grown by the Czochralski method. However, its quality was deteriorated due to lithium volatilization during the crystal growth. The full width at half maximum value drops from 116.9 to 44.2 arc sec after the LAO slice was treated by vapor transport equilibration at 1000, 1100, and 1200 degrees C/48 h in sequence. The treated slice shows higher optical transmission than the as-grown one in the measured wavelength range of 190-1900 nm, meanwhile, its absorption edge exhibits a blueshift. According to Raman spectra, the treated slice has homogeneous quality at different depths from surface to 0.01 mm. The expansion coefficient of the treated slice for a axis drops from 17.2398x10(-6)/degrees C to 16.5240x10(-6)/degrees C, and that for c axis drops from 10.7664x10(-6)/degrees C to 10.0786x10(-6)/degrees C.

The transport properties through a quantum dot are calculated using the recursion method. The results show that the electric fields can move the conductive peaks along the high- and low-energies. The electric field changes the intensity of conductance slightly. Our theoretical results should be useful for researching and making low-dimensional semiconductor optoelectronic devices. Phosphor-doped nano-crystalline silicon ((n))nc-Si:H) films are successfully grown on the p-type (100) oriented crystal silicon ((p) c-Si) substrate by conventional plasma-enhanced chemical vapor deposition method. The films are obtained using high H-2 diluted SiH4 as a reaction gas source and using PH3 as the doping gas source of phosphor atoms. Futhermore, the heterojunction diodes are also fabricated by using (n)nc-Si:H films and (p)c-Si substrate. I-V properties are investigated in the temperature range of 230-420K. The experimental results domenstrate that (n)nc-Si:H/(p) c-Si heterojunction is a typical abrupt heterojunction having good rectifing and temperature properties. Carrier transport mechanisms are tunneling - recombination model at forward bias voltages. In the range of low bias voltages ( V-F< 0.8 V), the current is determined by recombination at the (n)nc-Si:H side of the space charge region, while the current becomes tunneing at higher bias voltages( V-F>1.0 V). The present heterojunction has high reverse breakdown voltage ( > - 75 V) and low reverse current (approximate to nA).
