A novel second-order polarization-independent filter made of a single ring resonator and a Sagnac interferometer (SRRSI) is proposed, and its filtering characteristics are investigated. By using birefringence in waveguide, a single ring resonator can be used to synthesize a filter with second-order response. Analytical formulas are derived for characteristics of the SRRSI varied with waveguide parameters.. such as the coupling coefficient; and the critical condition of a second-order Butterworth filter is given. 将掺铒有源波导材料引入环形谐振腔结构,从理论上分析了有源波导环形谐振腔的滤波特性。结果表明由于抽运光提供的增益补偿了腔内损耗,使得环形谐振腔满足临界耦合条件,实现对信号光的最佳陷波,同时发现通过改变抽运光功率,可以对精细度和带宽进行动态调谐。分析了铒离子掺杂浓度、信号光功率以及抽运光耦合系数对最佳陷波抽运功率的影响,为有源波导器件设计制作提供了理论依据。

The polarization characteristics of electro-optical (EO) switches using fiber Sagnac interferometer (FSI) structures are theoretically investigated. Analytical solutions of output fields are presented when the twists and birefringence in a Sagnac loop are considered. Numerical calculations show that the twists of fiber, the orientation of the inserted phase retarder, and the splitting ratio of the coupler will influence both the output intensity and the output polarization properties of the proposed switch. A polarization-independent EO switch based on a Sagnac interferometer and a PUT bar was experimentally implemented, which showed good coincidence with the analytical results. The experiment showed a switch with 22 dB extinction ratio and less than 31.1 ns switching time. (c) 2006 Optical Society of America.

The original scanner for tilting orthogonal double prisms is studied to test the tracking performance in intersatellite laser communications. With a reduction ratio of more than 100 times from the change rate of the angle of beam deviation to that of the tilting angle of each prism, the theoretical analysis performed, as well as the verification experiment, indicates that the scanner can meet the requirements of the scanning accuracy superior to 0.5 mu rad with the scanning range greater than 500 mu rad and can facilitate the mechanical structure design. 利用有机无机混合的溶胶凝胶方法在硅基底上制备波导薄膜.采用正硅酸四乙酯和苯基三乙氧基硅烷作为反应先驱物,利用旋涂的方法成膜,对其折射率,传输损耗以及条形波导的光刻、刻蚀特性进行了研究.测量了波导薄膜折射率随成分变化的关系.实验表明,该方法工艺简单,可以获得具有较低损耗的波导薄膜.测试得到632.8nm波段的损耗系数为0.23dB/cm.采用ICP刻蚀工艺获得了较为平整的条形波导.

以精密光束偏离装置的棱镜组件为有限元模型,进行了光机热集成分析.对棱镜组件的结构强度进行了校核,分析了机械载荷作用下的镜面变形;通过模态分析,给出了装置的动态特性和镜面面形振动幅值的变化情况;最后对棱镜的热弹性变形进行了分析,对棱镜的光学性能进行了评价.结果表明:棱镜组件的最大变形在10nm量级,最大应力为0.403MPa,应力和应变相对于结构的准确度要求和材料的许用应力具有较大的裕度;前后棱镜组件的固有频率都大于550Hz,装置具有良好的动态性能;通过对比棱镜在热-结构耦舍分析和机械载荷下的分析结果,说

采用简单的有机一无机混合的溶胶一凝胶方法制备了折射率在一定范围内可调的波导材料,并利用其制备了平面波导环形谐振腔器件。波导结构呈现倒脊形,其制备工艺首先是利用感应耦合等离子体刻蚀技术(ICP)在二氧化硅衬底上刻蚀波导结构的凹槽,然后再沉积波导薄膜。利用光谱仪对器件的传输特性进行了测量,观测到具有10dB对比度,自由光谱范围0.182nm周期性谐振现象,结合环形谐振腔的传输特性,得到环形腔具有较低的传输损耗1.7dB/cm。同时对环形谐振腔的温度特性进行了测量,得出波导材料的热光系数为-1.54×10^-4

采用AgNO3、KNO3混和熔盐作为离子交换源,在K9玻璃上制备了跑道形谐振腔滤波器。测试得到该滤波器的自由光谱范围为0.178nm,两个输出端口的衬比度分别为1.47dB和6.5dB,分析得到耦合器的分束比和谐振腔的传输损耗分别为κ=0.16和α=8.1dB/cm。利用热光效应在16℃的温度变化范围内,滤波器实现了2π的相位调制,同时分析得到波导材料的热光系数约为1.28×10^-5/℃。

Dammann gratings are well known for their ability to generate arrays of Lmiform-intensity beams from an incoming monochromatic beam. We apply the even-numbered Dammann grating to achieve dynamic optical coupled technology. A 1 x N dynamic optical coupled system is developed by employing two complementary even-numbered Dammann gratings. With this system we can achieve a beam splitter and combiner as a switch between them according to the relative shift between the gratings. Also, this system is a preferable approach in integral packaging. More importantly, this device has the potential to be applied to the splitting of a large array, e.g., 8 x 16 array and 64 x 64 array, which is difficult to be realized with conventional splitting methods. We experimentally demonstrated a 1 x 8 coupler at the wavelength of 1550 nm. Furthermore we analyze the effects of the alignment errors between gratings and the wavelength-dependent error on efficiency and uniformity. 采用AgNO3和KNO3混和熔盐作为离子交换源,在K9玻璃上制备了跑道形波导谐振腔滤波器。利用ASE宽带光源和光谱仪对器件特性进行了测试,得到的该滤波器自由光谱范围为0.176nm。对比对Cr=4dB和3dB带宽δλ=0.13nm来说,耦合系数和传输损耗分别为κ=0.9和α=3.2dB/cm。测试了环形腔的热光调相特性,在16℃的变化范围内实现了2π的相移。通过分析,波导材料的热光系数约为1.49×10^-5/C。该滤波器不仅可用于滤波、传感等领域,而且也可与其它波导结构相结合实现新的功能。

采用Ag^+-Na^+离子工艺,在K9玻璃上制备了跑道形波导谐振腔滤波器.测试得到该滤波器自由光谱范围为FSR=0.177nm,对比对为Cr=7.5dB.同时分析得到耦合器的耦合系数为κ=0.916,耦合器和环形腔的损耗因子分别为δ=0.55,γ=0.48.耦合器的两波导几乎相连、条波导边缘不规则和一次离子交换波导表面缺陷是造成该波导滤波器具有较大损耗的主要原因。通过改进工艺技术降低波导损耗,该滤波器可以用于光通信、传感等领域,也可与其它波导结构相结合实现新的功能。

介绍了采用光刻离子交换工艺制作平面交叉型微透镜阵列的方法。利用积分形式的光线方程式讨论了平面交叉型微透镜的近轴光学特性,研究了微透镜的光线轨迹方程式和一些重要的近轴成像特性,利用ABCD定理得到了平面交叉型微透镜像距、焦距、像高、横向放大率和主平面位置的数学表达式,焦距的理论计算结果和实验数据吻合得很好。

提出了一种基于达曼光栅的动态光耦合器,通过控制装置中达曼光栅位移参量,可实现入射光束的分束或合束以及两者之间的动态转换。适当选择达曼光栅类型可实现任意N×M的动态光耦合。实验中以1550 nm光波长为例,对1×8达曼动态光耦合器进行测量,测得其实现光开关功能时插入损耗为0.43 dB,实现光分束功能时均匀性达到0.03,单路插入损耗均值为10.5 dB。该实验装置易于调节、体积小、能耗低,且关键元件达曼光栅制作工艺成熟,易于批量化生产。特别是在实现中大规模光交换阵列时,该方案就具有更明显的优越性,有实用意

阐述了频率分辨光学开关法测量飞秒脉冲的原理,详细分析了模式尺寸效应和非线性效应对飞秒脉冲测量的影响。构建了一台用于飞秒脉冲测量的二次谐波-频率分辨光学开关装置,利用该装置对谐振腔输出的飞秒脉冲及压缩后的脉冲进行了测量。得到了飞秒脉冲的时间宽度及光谱宽度、电场及其相位在时域和频域的详细信息。谐振腔直接输出脉冲的时间宽度为56 fs,光谱宽度为27 nm,时间带宽积为0.686,算法中的最小误差为0.001792。脉冲压缩后的测量结果为27 fs,光谱宽度为92 nm,时间带宽积为1.27,算法误差为0.00

提出一种基于正切关系和相位调制技术的动态小角度测量方法。使用双棱镜组成干涉测量臂引导两束平行光至分束棱镜处干涉,通过提取携带被测信息的干涉信号的相位实现动态的小角度测量。由于采用位置探测器(PSD)对测量臂中两平行光束的间距进行测量,简化了测量方程,消除了装置中双棱镜必须对称放置的要求。通过正弦地改变半导体激光器的注入电流在时域内实现对干涉信号的相位调制,形成准外差干涉测量模式,提高了光程差的测量精度。实验验证了该方法的可行性,并讨论了影响小角度测量精度的误差因素。研究结果表明,基于该方法的动态小角度的重
