(100 - x)TeO2 - xNb(2)O(5) (x=5-20) mobic tellurite glasses doped with 0.5 mol.% Er2O3 were synthesized, and their thermal, mechanical, and spectroscopic properties were measured and compared to the properties of the typical 75TeO(2)-20ZnO-5Na(2)O (TZN) tellurite glass. The refractive index (n(d)), density (p), and glass transition temperature (T-g) of bulk glasses increase with the Nb2O5 content. The Vickers microhardness (H-v) of bulk glass in niobic tellurite glasses also increases with the Nb2O5 content. The values (2.5-3.2 GPa) of H, in the niobic tellurite glasses are 47-88% larger than that (1.7 GPa) in TZN glass. The effect of Nb2O5 content on absorption spectra, the Judd-Ofelt parameters Omega(t) (t = 2, 4, 6), fluorescence spectra and the lifetimes of Er3+ :I-13/2 level were also investigated, and the stimulated emission crosssection was calculated from McCumber theory. With increasing Nb2O5 content in the glass composition, the Omega(t) (t = 2, 4, 6) parameters, fluorescence full width at half maximum (FWHM) Of I-13/2 of Er3+ increase, while the I-4(13/2) lifetimes of Er3+ decreases. Compared with TZN glass, the gain bandwidth properties of Er3+-doped TeO2-Nb2O5 glass is much larger than in tellurite glass based TeO2-ZnO-Na2O system, bismush-based glass, germanate, and silicate glasses, which indicates that TeO2-Nb2O5 glasses are better choice as a practical available host material for broadband Er3+-doped amplifier. Eu3+-activated calcium silicate (CaO-SiO2:Eu3+) luminescent films were prepared by the sol-gel method. The structural evolution of the film was studied by X-ray powder diffraction (XRD), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and the luminescence properties of the phosphor films were investigated as a function of heat treatment temperature. The XRD study indicates that a kilchoanite phase forms in the film sintered at 800 degreesC, which is different from that in gel powder treated under the same conditions. The SEM results show that the film thickness decreases and the particles in the film become smaller with increasing heat treatment temperature. The CaO-SiO2:Eu film shows the characteristic emission of Eu3+ under UV excitation, with the Eu3+ D-5(0)-->F-7(2) band (616 nm) being the most prominent. A large difference in the Eu3+ lifetime is observed between the film samples treated at 500 and 700 degreesC (or above). Concentration quenching occurs when the Eu3+ doping concentration is above 6 mol% of Ca2+ in the film.

Free-standing film of polyaniline with excellent mechanical and electrical properties has been successfully prepared by using the solution-casting method. The results show that its tensile strength, Young's modulus and elongation at break are about 87.9 MPa, 1563.9 MPa and 10.2%, respectively. Nanohydroxyapatite (op-HA) surface-modified with L-lactic acid oligomer (LAc oligomer) was prepared by LAc oligomer grafted onto the hydroxyapatite (HA) surface. The nanocomposite of op-HA/PLGA with different op-HA contents of 5, 10, 20 and 40 wt.% in the composite was fabricated into three-dimensional scaffolds by the melt-molding and particulate leaching methods. PLGA and the nanocomposite of HA/PLGA with 10 wt.% of ungrafted hydroxyapatite were used as the controls. The scaffolds were highly porous with evenly distributed and interconnected pore structures, and the porosity was around 90%. Besides the macropores of 100-300 mu m created by the leaching of NaCl particles, the micropores (1-50 mu m) in the pore walls increased with increasing content of op-HA in the composites of op-HA/PLGA. The op-HA particles could disperse more uniformly than those of pure HA in PLGA matrix. The 20 wt.% op-HA/PLGA sample exhibited the maximum mechanical strength, including bending strength (4.14 MPa) and compressive strength (2.31 MPa). The cell viability and the areas of the attached osteoblasts on the films of 10 wt.% op-HA/PLGA and 20 wt.% op-HA/PLGA were evidently higher than those on the other composites.

熔制了掺铒碲铌玻璃样品(100-X)TeO2-XNb2O5(X=5,10,15,20mol%),测试了其密度、折射率、转变温度、析晶温度、维氏机械强度、吸收光谱、荧光光谱、荧光寿命等参量。利用Judd-Ofelt和McCumber理论分别计算了铒离子强度参量Ωt(t=2,4,6)和受激发射截面σcmi的大小,研究了掺铒碲铌玻璃样品光谱参量对Nb2O5成分的依赖性,并与典型的碲锌钠玻璃(75TeO2-20ZnO-5Na2O)在热学、机械强度、光谱性质和放大品行四个方面进行了比较.

制备了一种新型的氧卤碲酸盐玻璃:(80-x)TeO2—15ZnCl2-xBaO-5NaF(x=30、20、10、0mol%),对玻璃的机械强度、热稳定性、拉曼光谱、紫外吸收光谱、红外透过光谱等特性进行了研究.通过拉曼光谱分析研究了玻璃组分含量的变化对玻璃结构和红外透过性能的影响.结果表明,随着BaO含量的增加,玻璃在红外波段透过率显著增加,并且红外透过截止波长向长波方向移动,本文对这一实验结果进行了机理性的研究探讨.同时,通过在熔制过程中通入高纯O2,以及引入适量的卤化物有效地除去玻璃中的[OH]基团,使

:为提高大功率脉冲氙灯的封接强度,将微晶玻璃作为封接材料引入到氙灯封接应用中. 以 Bi2O3,ZnO,Al2O3,MgO,CaCO3,SiO2,BaO,H3BO3,P2O5,Na2O 为原料,通过高温熔融制备了大功率脉冲氙灯封接 用微晶玻璃样品. 测试了样品的热膨胀系数,并通过差热分析(Differential Thermal Analysis,DTA)对脉冲氙灯 微晶玻璃的封接温度进行了讨论,用X 射线衍射(X-ray diffraction ,XRD)表征了封接玻璃,并进行了分析. 将 制得的样品磨成玻璃粉末,制成膏剂状玻璃焊料,对大功率脉冲氙灯进行封接,得到大功率脉冲氙灯的微晶 玻璃封接件. 通过氦质谱检漏仪检测,1#、2#、4#封接件气密性良好,达到10-6 Pa.

The physical and thermal properties Of P2O5-Al2O3-BaO-La2O3 glasses were investigated. The effects of glass compositions on the transition temperature, thermal expansion coefficient, density, hardness and refractive index of glasses were studied. The highest hardness of the glasses is 4143.891 MPa and the lowest thermal expansion coefficient of the glasses is 71.770 x 10(-7)/° C. A phosphate glass with high mechanical strength and good thermal characteristic is obtained.

Large-scale uniform Ag microtubes with high length diameter ratios have been first successfully synthesized by a facile approach, using low-cost super fine glass fibers as templates. The samples were characterized by SEM and XRD. The investigations showed that calcining or adding of PEG-1000 and alcohol could greatly improve the mechanical strength of the sample. A new monomer 1,5-bis(4-fluorobenzoyl)-2,6-dimethoxynaphthalene (DMNF) was prepared and further polymerized to form naphthalene-based poly(arylene ether ketone) copolymers containing methoxy groups (MNPAEKs). The side-chain-type sulfortated naphthalene-based poly(arylene ether ketone) copolymers (SNPAEKs) were obtained by demethylation and sulfobutylation. Flexible and tough membranes with reasonably high mechanical strength were prepared. The SNPAEKs membrane showed anisotropic membrane swelling with larger swelling in thickness than in plane. Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) analysis revealed clear nano-phase separated structure of SNPAEKs membranes, which composed of hydrophilic side chain and hydrophobic main-chain domains.

Two series of sulfonated poly(phenylquinoxaline)s (SPPQ-x and SPPQ(O)-x, x refers to molar percentage of sulfonated tetraamine monomer) were first synthesized from a sulfonated tetraamine (4,4'-bis(3,4-diaminophenoxy)biphenyl-3.3'-disulfonic acid) and two aromatic bisbenzils (4-phenylglyoxalylbenzil and p,p'-oxydibenzil) in a mild condition. The structures of SPPQ-x and SPPQ(0)-x were characterized by IR and H-1 NMR spectra. The properties of these polymer films, such as water uptake, water swelling ratio, proton conductivity, thermal properties, methanol permeability, hydrolytic and oxidative stability were also investigated. The resulting polymers generally showed good solubility in DMAc and DMSO. Flexible and tough membranes with high mechanical strength were prepared. They show very high thermal, thermooxidative, hydrolytic stabilities and low methanol permeability. SPPQ-100 with the IEC value (2.41 mmol/g) displays the conductivity of 0.1 S/cm and a swelling ratio of 7.3% at 100 degrees C.

A novel sulfonated tetraamine, di(triethylammonium)-4,4'-bis(3,4-diaminophenoxy)biphenyl-3,3'-disulfonate (BAPBDS), was successfully synthesized by nucleophilic aromatic substitution of 4,4'-dihydroxybiphenyl with 5-chloro-2-nitroaniline, followed by sulfonation and reduction. A high-temperature polycondensation of sulfonated tetraamine, non-sulfonated tetraamine (4,4 -bis(3,4-aminophenoxy)biphenyl) and 1,4,5,8-naphthalenetetracarboxylic dianhydride (a) or 4,4'-binaphthyl-1,1',8,8'-tetracarboxylic dianydride (b) gave the poly[bis(benzimidazobenzisoquinolinones)] ionomers SPBIBI-a(x) or SPBIBI-b(x), where x refers to the molar percentage of the sulfonated tetraamine monomer. Flexible and tough membranes of high mechanical strength were obtained by solution casting and the electrolyte properties of the polymers were intensively investigated. The ionomer membranes displayed excellent dimensional and hydrolytic stabilities.

We have synthesized a porous co-polyimide film by coagulating a polyimide precursor in the non-solvent and thermal imidization. Factors affecting the morphology, pore size, porosity, and mechanical strength of the film were discussed. The porous polyimide matrix consists of a porous top layer and a spongy sub-structure with micropores. It is used as a porous matrix to construct sulfonated poly(styrene-ran-ethylene) (SPSE) infiltrated composite membrane for direct methanol fuel cell (DMFC) application. Due to the complete inertness to methanol and the very high mechanical strength of the polyimide matrix, the swelling of the composite membrane is greatly suppressed and the methanol crossover is also significantly reduced, while high proton conductivity is still maintained. Because of its higher proton conductivity and less methanol permeability, single fuel cell performance test demonstrated that this composite membrane outperformed Nafion membrane.

Two series of the nanocomposite hydrogels were synthesized by in-situ solution polymerization. One pre-gel solution was obtained by directly dispersing the montmorillonite (MMT) powder into aqueous monomer solution and the other pre-gel solution was obtained by mixing monomer aqueous solution and the dispersion of MMT. The structure and performance of two series of hydrogels in dry state were studied by XRD, Raman spectroscopy, TEM and Al-27 MAS NMR. Compressing test results showed that the gel strength of the hydrogels prepared by the latter method was much higher than that by the former method. When acryloyloxyethyl trimethyl ammonium chloride (DAC) was introduced into the system, hydrogels with excellent nanostructure could be synthesized. The result of Al-27 MAS NMR suggested that the chemical environment of aluminum in MMT was changed by the introduction of DAC due to the interaction between the groups of DAC and MMT layers. Thus, the combination of copolymerizing with strong polar monomers and using the dispersion of MMT were the effective ways to obtain tranocomposite hydrogel of MMT and ionic monomers. The nanostructure of the hydrogel improved the gel strength, while the swelling ratio of the hydrogel depended on synergic effects of multifunctional groups.
