[ES]Este proyecto tiene como objetivo diseñar e implementar un prototipo de un cargador fotovoltaico para teléfonos móviles de última generación. Dicho prototipo constará de un panel fotovoltaico, reguladores de tensión y corriente, un MPPT, un regulador de carga de batería, una batería auxiliar y una conexión USB para conectarlo al dispositivo a cargar. Para su realización, se llevará a cabo un estudio previo para obtener conocimientos sobre el funcionamiento de las nuevas tecnologías en esta área, su oferta en el mercado, y se hará uso de las herramientas necesarias para su diseño, implementación y pruebas posteriores.

Integrated treatment of first episode psychosis with online training (e-learning): study protocol for a randomised controlled trial

Background: The integrated treatment of first episode psychosis has been shown to improve functionality and negative symptoms in previous studies. In this paper, we describe a study of integrated treatment (individual psychoeducation complementary to pharmacotherapy) versus treatment as usual, comparing results at baseline with those at 6-month re-assessment (at the end of the study) for these patients, and online training of professionals to provide this complementary treatment, with the following objectives: 1) to compare the efficacy of individual psychoeducation as add-on treatment versus treatment as usual in improving psychotic and mood symptoms; 2) to compare adherence to medication, functioning, insight, social response, quality of life, and brain-derived neurotrophic factor, between both groups; and 3) to analyse the efficacy of online training of psychotherapists. Methods/design: This is a single-blind randomised clinical trial including patients with first episode psychosis from hospitals across Spain, randomly assigned to either a control group with pharmacotherapy and regular sessions with their psychiatrist (treatment as usual) or an intervention group with integrated care including treatment as usual plus a psychoeducational intervention (14 sessions). Training for professionals involved at each participating centre was provided by the coordinating centre (University Hospital of Alava) through video conferences. Patients are evaluated with an extensive battery of tests assessing clinical and sociodemographic characteristics (Positive and Negative Syndrome Scale, State-Trait Anxiety Inventory, Liebowitz Social Anxiety Scale, Hamilton Rating Scale for Depression, Scale to Assess Unawareness of Mental Disorders, Strauss and Carpenter Prognostic Scale, Global Assessment of Functioning Scale, Morisky Green Adherence Scale, Functioning Assessment Short Test, World Health Organization Quality of Life instrument WHOQOL-BREF (an abbreviated version of the WHOQOL-100), and EuroQoL questionnaire), and brain-derived neurotrophic factor levels are measured in peripheral blood at baseline and at 6 months. The statistical analysis, including bivariate analysis, linear and logistic regression models, will be performed using SPSS. Discussion: This is an innovative study that includes the assessment of an integrated intervention for patients with first episode psychosis provided by professionals who are trained online, potentially making it possible to offer the intervention to more patients.

Algoritmos multi-objetivos para la optimización de una secuencia de matrices generadoras en computación cuántica topológica

Quantum Computing is a relatively modern field which simulates quantum computation conditions. Moreover, it can be used to estimate which quasiparticles would endure better in a quantum environment. Topological Quantum Computing (TQC) is an approximation for reducing the quantum decoherence problem1, which is responsible for error appearance in the representation of information. This project tackles specific instances of TQC problems using MOEAs (Multi-objective Optimization Evolutionary Algorithms). A MOEA is a type of algorithm which will optimize two or more objectives of a problem simultaneously, using a population based approach. We have implemented MOEAs that use probabilistic procedures found in EDAs (Estimation of Distribution Algorithms), since in general, EDAs have found better solutions than ordinary EAs (Evolutionary Algorithms), even though they are more costly. Both, EDAs and MOEAs are population-based algorithms. The objective of this project was to use a multi-objective approach in order to find good solutions for several instances of a TQC problem. In particular, the objectives considered in the project were the error approximation and the length of a solution. The tool we used to solve the instances of the problem was the multi-objective framework PISA. Because PISA has not too much documentation available, we had to go through a process of reverse-engineering of the framework to understand its modules and the way they communicate with each other. Once its functioning was understood, we began working on a module dedicated to the braid problem. Finally, we submitted this module to an exhaustive experimentation phase and collected results.

Bloqueo de publicidad en la Web: enfoque técnico en la búsqueda de un compromiso entre anunciantes y lectores

[ES]Este proyecto trata el problema del bloqueo de anuncios que existe actualmente en la web. Teniendo en cuenta la opinión de diversos autores sobre el tema, se analiza la problemática del uso de bloqueadores de anuncios. Además, se estudia cómo funcionan estos bloqueadores. En concreto, se analiza cómo está construido y cómo funciona, mediante ingeniería inversa, la extensión más popular en este campo, es decir, AdBlock Plus. Aparte de esto, se proponen una serie de soluciones para atacar al problema. Por último, se desarrolla e implementa una de las propuestas. Como resultado, se mejora el funcionamiento de AdBlock Plus, en el sentido de que da más libertad al usuario para elegir lo que bloquea dando la oportunidad a anunciantes y proveedores de contenido de mantener su modelo de negocio basado en la publicidad.

Bipolar disorder comorbid with alcohol use disorder: Focus on neurocognitive correlates

Bipolar disorder (BD) and alcohol use disorders (AUDs) are usually comorbid, and both have been associated with significant neurocognitive impairment. Patients with the BD-AUD comorbidity (dual diagnosis) may have more severe neurocognitive deficits than those with a single diagnosis, but there is paucity of research in this area. To explore this hypothesis more thoroughly, we carried out a systematic literature review through January 2015. Eight studies have examined the effect of AUDs on the neurocognitive functioning of BD patients. Most studies found that BD patients with current or past history of comorbid AUDs show more severe impairments, especially in verbal memory and executive cognition, than their non-dual counterparts. Greater neurocognitive dysfunction is another facet of this severe comorbid presentation. Implications for clinical practice and research are discussed. Specifically, the application of holistic approaches, such as clinical staging and systems biology, may open new avenues of discoveries related to the BD-AUD comorbidity.

Interacción y programación de trayectorias de robot industrial tipo SCARA.

[ES]En el desarrollo de este Trabajo de Fin De Grado (TFG) en el curso 2014-2015 se ha trabajado con un robot de tipo SCARA, muy utilizado en la industria. El objetivo era analizar su cinemática y programar trayectorias que el robot pudiera realizar. En primer lugar se ha llevado a cabo un estudio del Estado del Arte, en el que se describe la robótica industrial y su desarrollo histórico hasta nuestros días, desarrollo que presenta un futuro prometedor. Además, se han descrito las particularidades que atañen al SCARA: sus características, su relevancia y su historia. En cuanto al robot, previamente se ha realizado un análisis cinemático del SCARA. Mediante métodos matriciales se han resuelto los problemas de posiciones y velocidades, para luego programarlas en MATLAB. Una vez comprendida su cinemática, se ha interactuado con él en el taller para poder entender su funcionamiento, sus componentes y su control. Después, con los conocimientos que se han adquirido, se han programado varias trayectorias usando el lenguaje del robot, el lenguaje V+, para finalmente ejecutar esos movimientos. El Trabajo se completa con la descripción de las tareas mediante un diagrama de Gantt, el presupuesto, la declaración de gastos y el análisis de riesgos.

Diseño e implementación de complemento OpenFlow para ejecución de mensajes en un tiempo predefinido en Software Defined Networks.

[ES]El objetivo de este trabajo es el diseño e implementación de un complemento adicional a OpenFlow que permita la ejecución de los mensajes en el switch dentro de un espacio de tiempo concreto que previamente ha sido definido. El primer paso será la definición de objetivos y especificaciones del trabajo, para posteriormente realizar el diseño de un escenario mediante el análisis de posibles alternativas, y que permitirá la consecución de dichos objetivos. A continuación se añadirá el código necesario para que los equipos sean capaces de realizar el envío y ejecución de los mensajes en el tiempo programado y se finalizará realizando simulaciones y pruebas tanto del funcionamiento como del formato que utilizan los mensajes intercambiados entre el controlador y los switches que maneja, con el objetivo de verificar la viabilidad del módulo desarrollado.

Analysis of the differences between the rates of inflation associated with two aggregate price level: The case of the euro area and the United States

Idioma: Inglés Abstract: This project focuses on two indicators of prices, the GDP deflator and the consumer price index (CPI), and analyzes the differences and similarities they present. These price indexes have been chosen taking into account its great representativeness and importance to economic and social level, and its direct relationship to the overall functioning of the economy and, in particular, inflation. It should be also mentioned that this study was conducted for cases of the euro area and the United States, as the impact of these economies in the economic and social situation at international level is very significant.

Fiscal Integration in the European Union : assessment of different proposals

This paper explores the fiscal situation of the European Union as well as the different approaches proposed for achieving fiscal policy coordination among the member states. Furthermore, it works through the need of fiscal integration as a pressing matter in order for the European Union to achieve its aim of functioning as an efficient single market and economic unit. In order to do so, it analyzes the theoretical lines of the Modern Money Theory as a possible framework for further integration, and it evaluates the different proposals made for fiscal integration so that it can give an assessment regarding their compatibility with this theory.

La lucha contra los paraísos fiscales: realidad o apariencia

[ES]La globalización y el libre movimiento de los capitales han facilitado el funcionamiento de los paraísos fiscales. Estos territorios de baja o nula tributación se caracterizan por ofrecer ventajas fiscales y legales a sus usuarios, así como por la posibilidad de ocultar la titularidad de las transacciones realizadas. Los grandes patrimonios y las multinacionales los utilizan para evadir impuestos, los gobiernos para esconder los fondos provenientes de la corrupción y las asociaciones criminales para camuflar el dinero proveniente de actividades ilícitas. Son varios los autores que defienden la existencia de estos territorios como medio para el aumento de la competitividad, pero lo cierto es que reducen la recaudación fiscal, crean inestabilidad en el sistema financiero internacional y hacen vulnerables a las democracias. En los últimos años se ha intensificado la lucha contra los paraísos fiscales, pero la implantación de las medidas no está teniendo la eficacia esperada.
