Resumo

Although Helicobacter pylori infection is very common among particular groups of adults with intellectual disability, the rate of recurrence (reinfection or recrudescence) is unknown in this population. Thirty-six months after successful treatment of H. pylori, 28 adults with intellectual disability were retested using the faecal antigen test.
