The John Jones Letter was written by Mr. Jones in 1841, a farmer, from Montevallo, Alabama, to Jesse Trusdel of Santon in Kershaw District, South Carolina, in which Jones discusses economic and health conditions in Shelby County, Alabama, his family affairs, and future plans.
