Kant, a democracia e o liberalismo

The article argues that Kant cannot be considered a democratic thinker, given not only his rejection to the ancient form of democracy (based on the institution of the assembly), but also the modern form of democracy (based on the principle of representation), however a liberal thinker, supporter of the limited State and the individual rigths.

O texto argumenta que Kant não pode ser considerado um pensador democrata, visto que rejeita tanto a forma de democracia antiga (baseada na instituição da assembleia) quanto a forma de democracia moderna (baseada no princípio da representação), mas sim um pensador liberal, defensor do Estado limitado e dos direitos individuais.
