Finnair konsernin GRI raportoinnin kehittäminen

Tämän tutkintotyön tavoitteena on ollut Finnair konsernin GRI raportoinnin kehittäminen. Tutkintotyön osuus koko GRI projektissa on ollut toimintaindikaattoreiden määrittäminen. Tavoitteena oli määrittää toimintaindikaattorit Finnair konsernin ensimmäiseen GRI raporttiin niin, että raportti täyttää vähintään ohjeistuksessa määritellyn C-sovellustason vaatimukset. Asetettu C sovellustason tavoite saavutettiin G3 profiili kohdassa, ja ylitettiin selvästi G3 toimintaindikaattoreiden osalta, jossa varsinkin taloudelliset, sekä ymparistöpuolen toimintaindikaattorit saatiin tulevia raportteja ja korkeampaa sovellustasoa ajatellen hyvälle mallille. Tutkintotyön taustoittavassa osassa selvitettiin yhteiskuntavastuuraportin merkitystä organisaatiolle ja sen sidosryhmille, sekä läpikäytiin markkinoilla olevia eri yhteiskuntavastuuraportointivaihtoehtoja ja niiden merkittävimpiä eroavaisuuksia. Empiirisessä osassa puolestaan keskityttiin selvittämään, mitkä indikaattorit ovat olennaisia ja mahdollisia selvittää Finnair konsernin ensimmäisessä GRI raportissa.

The aim of this diploma work has been the development of Finnair groups GRI report. More specifically the aim of the thesis was to define all the performance indicators to be used in the report. This was the first time Finnair Group uses GRI guidelines for their Sustainability Reporting Framework and the goal was to achieve GRI application level C. In the end application level C was easily obtained when it comes to G3 Profile Disclosures and especially to G3 Performance Indicators & Sector Supplement Performance Indicators. In the theoretical part of the thesis the aim was to determine the meaning of sustainability reporting for the organization and for its stakeholders. Other possible alternatives for the organizations sustainability reporting tools and the main different between them where also underwent in this section. In the empirical part of the thesis the goal was to find out which of the performance indicators are essential and which of them are possible to determine for the organization.
