A Work Project, presented as part of the requirements for the Award of a Masters Degree in Economics from the NOVA – School of Business and Economics This paper investigates the effects of bilateral trade agreements on the antidumping use. It points out the antidumping investigations and measures imposed from the 16 major members of WTO, in the recent years. It also states the increasing number of use of antidumping and its policies in developing countries. From the available data it examines the alterations of antidumping investigations initated by a developed country (the USA) and a developing country (Brazil) against their major trading partners under bilateral trade agreements. It states that if there is more or less antidumping use depending on a country being developed or developing. |
