Relatório de estágio

I (Prática Pedagógica) - O estágio foi realizado na Academia de Música de Almada (AMA) com três alunos de níveis diferentes: Aluno x, Iniciação Musical; Aluna y, 2º grau; e Aluna z, 5º grau. A planificação do trabalho foi feita com a colaboração do professor Vasco Broco e sob a supervisão do professor Pedro Saglimbeni Muñoz, tendo por base o programa da AMA e procurando corresponder às necessidades individuais de cada aluno, bem como respeitar os diferentes ritmos de aprendizagem. Dadas as diferenças de idade e de nível, os objectivos que procurei atingir com cada aluno durante o ano lectivo são naturalmente díspares, bem como a perspectiva de cada um em relação ao próprio instrumento e ao ensino da música. Enquanto que os mais novos encaram a aprendizagem musical como uma actividade meramente recreativa, pelo menos por enquanto, a Aluna z ambiciona fazer uma carreira como instrumentista. Mesmo entre os mais novos há diferenças, pois apesar de o Aluno x ainda estar a frequentar a Iniciação Musical, já iniciou a sua aprendizagem há mais tempo do que a Aluna y, encarando o ensino com mais seriedade. A AMA tem a vantagem de ter um pianista acompanhador disponível para cada dia da semana, o que tornou possível desenvolver um trabalho consistente com os alunos em termos de ensaios e audições. As audições e momentos de avaliação foram marcados em reuniões de Departamento Curricular, à excepção da calendarização das Provas Globais que foi feita em reunião de Conselho Pedagógico. O aproveitamento foi positivo para os três alunos no final do estágio, tendo todos transitado para o nível de ensino seguinte.

II (Investigação) - Encontrando-me a frequentar o Mestrado em Ensino da Música, quis desde logo escolher um tema que se relacionasse com o Ensino Especializado da Música. Para mim, este tema tinha forçosamente de se focar em dois aspectos chave; por um lado, tinha de ser um complemento ao meu Estágio do Ensino Especializado, permitindo-me optimizar os resultados obtidos com os meus alunos na AMA, por outro, queria que a área de interesse estivesse de alguma forma relacionada com outros elementos que não apenas o professor e o aluno, uma vez que estes são os elementos com que lido mais no meu próprio dia-a-dia, proporcionado-me assim a hipótese de aprender mais com o processo de investigação e dando alguma transversalidade e relevância a este trabalho. Acabei então por escolher "a família" como área de interesse, nomeadamente a importância do background familiar. Depois de escolhido o tema, elaborei um projecto de investigação que tentou responder à pergunta "De que formas pode o background familiar influenciar os resultados obtidos na aprendizagem da Viola de Arco e do Violino por crianças e adolescentes?", tendo para isso feito uma extensa Revisão da Literatura, dada a especificidade do tema. Optei por utilizar o "questionário" e a observação participante como recursos metodológicos, envolvendo na investigação tanto os alunos como os seus encarregados de educação. Na Apresentação e Análise de Resultados fiz o cruzamento dos dados e teci algumas considerações gerais que me permitiram avaliar a pertinência e os resultados da investigação na Conclusão.

ABSTRACT I (Teaching)- The internship was performed at Academia de Música de Almada (AMA) with three students from different levels: Student x, Musical Initiation; Student y, 2nd level; and Student z, 5th level. All of the planning involved in the teaching process was accomplished with the kind cooperation of professor Vasco Broco and under the supervision of professor Pedro Saglimbeni Muñoz. I tried to respect each student's learning curve, matching their individual needs, while following AMA's program at the same time. Considering the differences in age and level between students, the goals I tried to achieve with each one are naturally different, as well as each one's perspective concerning their instrument and the learning process itself. While the younger ones, at least for now, view their musical learning as a hobby, Student z wishes to pursue a career as a violist. Even among the other two there are differences, for though Student x is still in Musical Initiation, he has been playing for a longer period of time than Student y, which makes him face the learning process more seriously. AMA has the advantage of having a pianist available for accompaniment every day, which made it possible for me to develop consistent work with the students concerning rehearsals with piano and auditions. The auditions and tests were scheduled in department meetings, with the exception of the Global Tests, which were scheduled by the school's Teaching Counsel. All of the students had positive results at the end of the internship, thereby passing to the next learning level.

ABSTRACT II (Research) - As I was attending the Masters in Music Teaching, I always wanted to choose a topic that somehow related to the activity of teaching. For me, the topic had to focus on two major aspects; on one hand it had to be a supporting feature of my internship, allowing me to maximize the results with my own students at AMA, on the other hand I wanted the subject area to be related to elements other than just the teacher or the student, considering that these are the elements I deal with the most everyday, thus allowing me the chance to learn more with the research process and inscribing some purpose and meaning to this work. I finally ended up choosing "family" as a subject area, more precisely the influence of family background. Once the topic was chosen, I formulated a research project that sought to answer the research question, "In which ways can family background affect the learning results of children and adolescents learning the Viola and the Violin?", which required me to undertake a vast literature review, given the specificity of the topic. I decided to use the "questionnaire" and participant observation as a methodology, involving both students and guardians in the research. On the final sections I presented the findings and wove in some considerations regarding the results and the pertinence of my work.
