This study has been carried out in order to present the working process behind a proposal for a teaching plan on Perspective for an existing architecture course, taking into account the difficulties and opinions that students interviewed presented, through the questionnaire. This study has been divided into three parts to enable a fuller understanding of the process. Part one: initial research on existing theories on perspective, where concepts and techniques related to perspective are presented, for example, the historical process of Perspective, the understanding of objects drawn with perspective, sketches and free-hand drawings, axonometric drawings, perspective in linear plans, perspective involving squares and curves, environmental perspective and light and shade, are among other elements that lay the foundations for the following stages of the study. Part two: data collection and analysis, where the data collected came from a questionnaire distributed among students who have completed courses in the faculties of architecture in Portugal, Lisbon (The Faculty of Architecture of the University of Lisbon in Ajuda and Luísiada University), Porto (The Factulty of Arquitechture of Porto), Coimbra (The Faculty of Architecture of Coimbra), Azores, island of Terceira in the city of Angra do Heroísmo (ISCTE), as well as at universities in various regions of Brazil. The aims of the questionnaire were; to highlight the main difficulties that students encountered when studying the discipline, to identify the strengths of the courses, and to gather suggestions for improvements. Part three: the formation and proposal of teaching models with both theoretically and practical outcomes, and a teaching proposal for an interdisciplinary model which comprises of ten exercises that were formed and will be applied throughout the architectural course. These exercises were elaborated as a result of joining the information acquired from both the initial research on existing theories (part one), and the data collection and analysis (part two)
