This is a selection of University of Southampton Logos in both vector (svg) and raster (png) formats. These are suitable for use on the web or in small documents and posters. You can open the SVG files using inkscape (http://inkscape.org/download/?lang=en) and edit them directly. The University logo should not be modified and attention should be paid to the branding guidelines found here: http://www.edshare.soton.ac.uk/10481 You must always leave a space the width of an capital O in Southampton on all 4 edges of the logo. The negative space makes it appear more prominently on the page.

These are a range of logos created in the same way as Mr Patrick McSweeny http://www.edshare.soton.ac.uk/11157. The logo has been extracted from PDF documents and is smoother and accurate to the original logo design. Many thanks to to McSweeny for publishing the logo, in SVG originally, I struggled to find it anywhere else. Files are in Inkscape SVG, PDF and PNG. Föreliggande studie syftar till att genom en visuell innehållsanalys kartlägga gemensamma drag i 120 universitetslogotypers visuella utformning, samt undersöka samband mellan dessa karaktärsdrag och universitetens internationella rankningsposition.Med utgångspunkt från topprankningslistan Times Higher Education World University Rankings med 400 internationella universitet, indelade i fyra grupper i intervaller om 100 (d.v.s. rankningsposition 1–100, 101–200 etc.), valdes 30 universitet ut per grupp genom ett obundet slumpmässigt urval. Logotyperna för universiteten inhämtades främst från deras grafiska manualer.I studien presenteras förekomsten av generella drag med avseende på färg, typografi, typologi, detaljrikedom samt innehåll och form. Resultatet visade på tydliga gemensamma drag med i regel en till två dominerande karaktärsdrag per kategori. Resultaten tyder dock inte på att universitetens rakningsposition påverkar den visuella utformningen.

"Students transitioning from vocational education and training (VET) to university can experience a number of challenges. This small research project explored the information literacy needs of VET and university students and how they differ. Students studying early childhood related VET and university courses reported differences in how and where they searched for information in their studies. These differences reflect the more practical focus of VET compared with the more academic and theoretical approach of university. The author proposes a framework of support that could be provided to transitioning students to enable them to develop the necessary information literacy skills for university study."--publisher website

En este art??culo se presenta un sistema de di??logo hablado en desarrollo llamado TRIVIAL, cuya finalidad es favorecer el aprendizaje de contenidos docentes por parte de los alumnos de la Universidad de Granada. La interacci??n entre los usuarios y el sistema se lleva a cabo mediante di??logos en lenguaje natural realizados de forma oral, por lo que el sistema se diferencia claramente de otras herramientas de apoyo a la docencia basadas en Tecnolog??as de la Informaci??n y las Comunicaciones (TICs). Creemos que el sistema puede fomentar el desarrollo del espacio innovador promovido por el Espacio Europeo de Educaci??n Superior (EEES), pues permite dar una visi??n diferente de las asignaturas, en la que el alumno es el actor principal del proceso de aprendizaje.
