Opinnäytetyön aiheena on Lappeenrannan seudun yksityisten perhepäivähoitajien koulutustarpeen selvittäminen ja olemassa olevan koulutussuunnitelman parantaminen. Opinnäytetyö tehdään yhteistyössä Etelä-Karjalan maa- ja kotitalousnaisten piirikeskuksen kanssa. Heidän tarkoituksenaan on tarjota ja toteuttaa koulutuksia yksityisille perhepäivähoitajille. Lappeenrannan kaupungin alueella ja eräissä Etelä-Karjalan maakunnan alueella sijaitsevissa kunnissa toimii noin 60 yksityistä perhepäivähoitajaa, ja toiminta vaikuttaa noin 181 lapsen arkeen mm. ravitsemukseen ja ruokailutottumuksiin. Koulutukset nostavat ammattitaidon laatua. Lisäksi monilla perhepäivähoitajilla ei ole ammattiin nykyisin vaadittavaa pätevyyttä ja mm. siksi ammattitaitoista osaamista täytyy kehittää. Tutkimukseen hankittava aineisto saatiin kyselylomakkeella avulla, joita jaettiin (60 kpl). Perustietoja haluttiin tietää perhepäivähoitajien koulutuksesta, alallaolovuosista, hoitolasten ja erityisruokavalioita tarvitsevien lasten määrää, kuinka tuttuja heille ovat ravitsemussuositukset, erityisruokavaliot ja hygieniaosaaminen sekä heidän kiinnostuneisuutensa koulutuksiin. Kyselylomakkeen avulla oli tarpeen tiedustella mielipidettä aiemmin järjestetyistä koulutuksista sekä millaisia koulutuksia tulevaisuudessa yksityisillä perhepäivähoitajilla voisi olla. Kyselylomakkeita analysoitiin yhteensä 29. Kaikkien vastanneiden vastausprosentti oli 48. Alallaolovuosia oli keskimäärin koulutuksen saaneilla 11 vuotta ja niillä, joilla perhepäivähoitajan työhön tarvittavaa koulutusta ei ollut, oli 25 vuotta. Koulutuksen saaneet yksityiset perhepäivähoitajat olivat innokkaampia koulutusten järjestämiseen sekä mielestään tarvitsivat lisäkoulutusta ja lisätietoa kysytyistä asioista enemmän kuin ne vastaajat, jotka eivät olleet saaneet vaadittavaa koulutusta. Koulutuksia voitaisiin tarjota uusista ravitsemussuosituksista ja niiden käytöstä. Hygieniaosaamisasiat olivat yleisesti tuttuja suurimmalle osalle perhepäivähoitajista ja vastausprosenttien perusteella enemmistö yksityisistä perhepäivähoitajista haluaisi siihen liittyvän koulutuksen järjestämistä. Hygieniapassin suorittamista voitaisiin tarjota, koska se kiinnosti vastaajia. Yli puolet vastaajista vastasi tuntevansa erityisruokavaliot, mutta koulutusta voitaisiin suunnitella kysynnän ja toiveiden mukaan.

The project was commissioned to investigate and analyse the issue of effective support for distance education students in the early years of school to maximise literacy and numeracy outcomes. The scope of this project was limited to students living in rural and remote areas who are undertaking education at home and who are in their early years of schooling. For the purpose of this project, the early years are conceptualised as the first three years of formal compulsory schooling in each of the States and Territories. There were a number of key tasks for the project which included: 1. Examining of the role of home tutors/supervisors This included interviewing personnel from the State and Territory distance education providers as well as the principals, teachers, home tutors and children. 2. Describing literacy and numeracy teaching and learning, and the use of information and communication technologies (ICT) in distance education This aspect of the project involved a critical review and analysis of relevant literature and reports in the last five years, and a consideration of the new initiatives that had been implemented in the States and Territories in the last two years. 3. The development of resources Through examination of the role of home tutors/supervisors, and an examination of literacy and numeracy and the use of technology in distance education, three resources were developed: ● A guide for home tutors/supervisors and schools of distance education about effective intervention and assessment strategies to support students’ learning and to assist the home tutors/supervisors in implementing ICT to support the development of literacy and numeracy in the early years. ● A calendar of activities for literacy and numeracy that would act as a stimulus for integrated and authentic activity for young children. ● An embryonic website of resources for the stakeholders in rural and distance education that might act as a catalyst for future resource building and sharing. In this way the final key task of the project, which was to create a context for a strategic dissemination plan, was realised when a strategy to address effective dissemination of the findings of the project so as to maximise their usefulness for the relevant groups was achieved.

Los programas de inmersión lingüística han constituido y constituyen dentro del Sistema Educativo catalánla principal forma para que el alumnado de lengua familiar no-catalana aprenda una nueva lengua, el catalán,sin que, en su proceso de aprendizaje, vea mermado ni el desarrollo de su propia lengua ni su rendimientoacadémico. El éxito de la inmersión lingüística en las décadas anteriores ha sido frecuentemente utilizado comouno de los argumentos orientativos para justificar la política lingüística que se sigue en la escolarización de lainfancia extranjera. Sin embargo, los resultados obtenidos por investigaciones recientes parece que no avalanempíricamente dicho argumento. Este artículo analiza dichos resultados y expone, a partir del Plan para laLengua y Cohesión Social puesto en marcha por el Departamento de Educación de la Generalitat de Cataluña,cuáles son los retos que se presentan a su Sistema Educativo dentro del nuevo marco que supone el aumento de ladiversidad cultural y lingüística en la actual sociedad catalana

Os objetivos do estudo foram: estimar as prevalências de doenças crônicas na população brasileira em 2008, comparando-as com as de 2003; avaliar o impacto da doença crônica no uso de serviços e nas restrições das atividades; e, analisar os diferenciais nas prevalências de doenças crônicas específicas, segundo nível de escolaridade e filiação a plano privado de saúde. Os dados foram obtidos do suplemento saúde das PNAD-2008 e 2003. As análises (prevalências e razões de prevalências brutas e ajustadas) foram feitas com o aplicativo Stata 11. A prevalência de ter ao menos uma doença crônica foi mais elevada em: idosos, mulheres, cor/raça preta ou indígena, menor escolaridade, migrantes, moradores em áreas urbanas e na região Sul do país. As condições crônicas mais prevalentes foram: hipertensão, doença de coluna, artrite e depressão. Houve, entre 2003 e 2008, aumento da prevalência de diabetes, hipertensão, câncer e cirrose, e redução de insuficiência renal crônica e tuberculose. A maioria das doenças estudadas foram mais prevalentes nos segmentos de menor escolaridade e sem plano de saúde. As maiores diferenças entre os segmentos sociais foram observadas nas prevalências de cirrose, insuficiência renal crônica, tuberculose e artrite/reumatismo.

OBJECTIVES: To assess risk and protective factors for chronic noncommunicable diseases (CNCD) and to identify social inequalities in their distribution among Brazilian adults. METHODS: The data used were collected in 2007 through VIGITEL, an ongoing population-based telephone survey. This surveillance system was implemented in all of the Brazilian State capitals, over 54,000 interviews were analyzed. Age-adjusted prevalence ratios for trends at different schooling levels were calculated using Poisson regression with linear models. RESULTS: These analyses have shown differences in the prevalence of risk and protective factors for CNCD by gender and schooling. Among men, the prevalence ratios of overweight, consumption of meat with visible fat, and dyslipidemia were higher among men with more schooling, while tobacco use, sedentary lifestyle, and high-blood pressure were lower. Among women, tobacco use, overweight, obesity, high-blood pressure and diabetes were lower among men with more schooling, and consumption of meat with visible fat and sedentary lifestyles were higher. As for protective factors, fruit and vegetables intake and physical activity were higher in both men and women with more schooling. CONCLUSION: Gender and schooling influence on risk and protective factors for CNCD, being the values less favorable for men. vigitel is a useful tool for monitoring these factors amongst the Brazilian population.

The city of Maringa, located in the Northwest of Parana State, Brazil, was part of an extensive area colonized by the Companhia de Terras Norte do Parana replaced by the Companhia Melhoramentos Norte do Parana. Starting from a modem project elaborated in midlles of 1940's, Maringa emerged quickly amid the forest. We analyzed the initial plan, the projects for the reformulation of the central area and the tendencies of the public actions in the urban area that turn for real estate promotion and disrespect the popular participation. In its regional scale, Maringa follows the same orientation of cities that are used by the The obsession for the modernity takes to the systematic construction of new spaces that substitute the memory and the urban history in projects that reconduct to the aestheticization and the spectacularization of the urban landscape of Maringa.

This paper aims to study the relationship between the debt level and the asset structure of Brazilian companies of the agribusiness sector, since it is considered a current and relevant discussion: to evaluate the mechanisms for fund-raising and guarantees. The methodology of Granger`s Causality test and Autoregressive Vectors was used to conduct a comparative analysis, applied to a financial database of companies with open capital of Brazilian agribusiness, in particular the agricultural sector and Fisheries and Food and Beverages in a period of 10 years (1997-2007) from quarterly series available in the database of Economatica(R). The results demonstrated that changes in leverage generate variations in the tangibility of the companies, a fact that can be explained by the large search of funding secured by fiduciary transfer of fixed assets, which facilitates access to credit by business of the Agribusiness sector, increasing the payment time and lowering interest rates.
