Graded algebra automorphisms

We consider the Clifford algebra C(q) of a regular quadratic space (V, q) over a field K with its structure of Z/2Z-graded K-algebra. We give a characterization of the group of graded automorphisms of C(q). In the last section we introduce the Z/nZ-graded algebras and we study as well as the group of graded automorphisms for some of them.

Maximal sets of Hamilton cycles in Kn,n

In this article, we prove that there exists a maximal set of m Hamilton cycles in K-n,K-n if and only if n/4 < m less than or equal to n/2. (C) 2000 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.

Balanced critical sets in Latin squares

In this note we first introduce balanced critical sets and near balanced critical sets in Latin squares. Then we prove that there exist balanced critical sets in the back circulant Latin squares of order 3n for n even. Using this result we decompose the back circulant Latin squares of order 3n, n even, into three isotopic and disjoint balanced critical sets each of size 3n. We also find near balanced critical sets in the back circulant Latin squares of order 3n for n odd. Finally, we examine representatives of each main class of Latin squares of order up to six in order to determine which main classes contain balanced or near balanced critical sets.

K-invariantes en el algebra universal de un grupo de Lie semisimple

Para todo grupo de Lie de rango uno, con rango (G) = rango (K), los elementos del álgebra B son W-invariantes y que este resultado ya ha sido establecido para los grupos SO(2n,1) y SU(n,1); durante el período correspondiente a este subsidio esperamos extender este resultado a todo grupo de Lie de rango uno con rango (G) = rango (K). DJKM ALGEBRAS I: THEIR UNIVERSAL CENTRAL EXTENSION

The purpose of this paper is to explicitly describe in terms of generators and relations the universal central extension of the infinite dimensional Lie algebra, g circle times C[t, t(-1), u vertical bar u(2) = (t(2) - b(2))(t(2) - c(2))], appearing in the work of Date, Jimbo, Kashiwara and Miwa in their study of integrable systems arising from the Landau-Lifshitz differential equation.

On universal central extensions of Hom-Leibniz algebras

In the category of Hom-Leibniz algebras we introduce the notion of Hom-corepresentation as adequate coefficients to construct the chain complex from which we compute the Leibniz homology of Hom-Leibniz algebras. We study universal central extensions of Hom-Leibniz algebras and generalize some classical results, nevertheless it is necessary to introduce new notions of α-central extension, universal α-central extension and α-perfect Hom-Leibniz algebra due to the fact that the composition of two central extensions of Hom-Leibniz algebras is not central. We also provide the recognition criteria for these kind of universal central extensions. We prove that an α-perfect Hom-Lie algebra admits a universal α-central extension in the categories of Hom-Lie and Hom-Leibniz algebras and we obtain the relationships between both of them. In case α = Id we recover the corresponding results on universal central extensions of Leibniz algebras.
