A rust causing leaf spotting and distortion of twigs and branches of Caesalpinia scortechinii in Queensland is described as the new species Bibulocystis gloriosa. Uredinia and telia occur on spotted pinnules, and pycnia, aecial uredinia and telia on galled and twisted leaf rachides, twigs and branches. B. gloriosa is similar to Bibulocystis viennotii on Albizia granulosa in New Caledonia in having a macrocyclic life cycle with all spore states, and teliospores with two fertile cells and two cysts. It differs in having aecial urediniospores and urediniospores with uniformly thickened walls and several scattered germ pores, rather than the apically thickened walls and equatorial germ pores of B. viennotii. Teliospores in the two species are similar in size, but those of B. gloriosa have proportionally larger fertile cells and smaller cysts than in B. viennotii. To date, B. gloriosa is known from only two localities in south-eastern Queensland. Comparison with the type specimen of Spumula caesalpiniae on Caesalpinia nuga from Indonesia has shown that the two rusts are generically distinct.

Automated acceptance testing is the testing of software done in higher level to test whether the system abides by the requirements desired by the business clients by the use of piece of script other than the software itself. This project is a study of the feasibility of acceptance tests written in Behavior Driven Development principle. The project includes an implementation part where automated accep- tance testing is written for Touch-point web application developed by Dewire (a software consultant company) for Telia (a telecom company) from the require- ments received from the customer (Telia). The automated acceptance testing is in Cucumber-Selenium framework which enforces Behavior Driven Development principles. The purpose of the implementation is to verify the practicability of this style of acceptance testing. From the completion of implementation, it was concluded that all the requirements from customer in real world can be converted into executable specifications and the process was not at all time-consuming or difficult for a low-experienced programmer like the author itself. The project also includes survey to measure the learnability and understandability of Gherkin- the language that Cucumber understands. The survey consist of some Gherkin exam- ples followed with questions that include making changes to the Gherkin exam- ples. Survey had 3 parts: first being easy, second medium and third most difficult. Survey also had a linear scale from 1 to 5 to rate the difficulty level for each part of the survey. 1 stood for very easy and 5 for very difficult. Time when the partic- ipants began the survey was also taken in order to calculate the total time taken by the participants to learn and answer the questions. Survey was taken by 18 of the employers of Dewire who had primary working role as one of the programmer, tester and project manager. In the result, tester and project manager were grouped as non-programmer. The survey concluded that it is very easy and quick to learn Gherkin. While the participants rated Gherkin as very easy.

This research includes a review of the log management of the company Telia. The research has also included a comparison of the two log management sys- tems Splunk and ELK. The review of the company’s log management shows that log messages are being stored in files on a hard drive that can be accessed through the network. The log messages are system-specific. ELK is able to fetch log messages of different formats simultaneously, but this feature is not possible in Splunk where the process of uploading log messages has to be re- peated for log messages that have different formats. Both systems store log messages through a file system on a hard drive, where the systems are installed. In networks that involve multiple servers, ELK is distributing the log messages between the servers. Thus, the workload to perform searches and storing large amounts of data is reduced. Using Splunk in networks can also reduce the workload. This is done by using forwarders that send the log messages to one or multiple central servers which stores the messages. Searches of log messages in Splunk are performed by using a graphical interface. Searches in ELK is done by using a REST-API which can be used by external systems as well, to retrieve search results. Splunk also has a REST-API that can be used by external sys- tems to receive search results. The research revealed that ELK had a lower search time than Splunk. However, no method was found that could be used to measure the indexing time of ELK, which meant that no comparison could be made with respect to the indexing time for Splunk. For future work there should be an investigation whether there is any possibility to measure the indexing time of ELK. Another recommendation is to include more log management sys- tem in the research to improve the results that may be suitable candidates for the company Telia. An improvement suggestion as well, is to do performance tests in a network with multiple servers and thereby draw conclusions how the performance is in practice.
