The goal of this paper is to present a methodology for quality control of horizontal geodetic networks through robustness and covariance analysis. In the proposed methodology, the positional accuracy of each point is estimated by a possible bias in their position (based on robustness analysis), in addition to its own positional precision (uncertainty) (through covariance analysis), being a measure independently from the choice of the datum. Besides presenting the theoretical development of the method, its application is demonstrated in a numerical example. The results indicate that, in general, the greater the distance of an unknown point to the control(s) point(s) of the network, the greater is the propagation of random errors on this unknown point, and the smaller the number of redundant observations around a unknown point, the greater the influence of possible (undetected) non-random errors on this point.

RESUMEN: La realización de túneles de gran longitud para ferrocarriles ha adquirido un gran auge en los últimos años. En España se han abordado proyectos de estas características, no existiendo para su ejecución una metodología completa y contrastada de actuación. Las características geométricas, de observación y de trabajo en túneles hace que las metodologías que se aplican en otros proyectos de ingeniería no sean aplicables por las siguientes causas: separación de las redes exteriores e interiores de los túneles debido a la diferente naturaleza de los observables, geometría en el interior siempre desfavorable a los requerimientos de observación clásica, mala visibilidad dentro del túnel, aumento de errores conforme avanza la perforación, y movimientos propios del túnel durante su ejecución por la propia geodinámica activa. Los patrones de observación geodésica usados deben revisarse cuando se ejecutan túneles de gran longitud. Este trabajo establece una metodología para el diseño de redes exteriores. ABSTRACT: The realization of long railway tunnels has acquired a great interest in recent years. In Spain it is necessary to address projects of this nature, but ther is no corresponding methodological framework supporting them. The tunnel observational and working geometrical properties, make that former methodologies used may be unuseful in this case: the observation of the exterior and interior geodetical networks of the tunnel is different in nature. Conditions of visibility in the interior of the tunnels, regardless of the geometry, are not the most advantageous for observation due to the production system and the natural conditions of the tunnels. Errors increase as the drilling of the tunnel progresses, as it becomes problematical to perform continuous verifications along the itinerary itself. Moreover, inherent tunnel movements due to active geodynamics must also be considered. Therefore patterns for geodetic and topographic observations have to be reviewed when very long tunnels are constructed.

The implementation of local geodetic networks for georeferencing of rural properties has become a requirement after publication of the Georeferencing Technical Standard by INCRA. According to this standard, the maximum distance of baselines to GNSS L1 receivers is of 20 km. Besides the length of the baseline, the geometry and the number of geodetic control stations are other factors to be considered in the implementation of geodetic networks. Thus, this research aimed to examine the influence of baseline lengths higher than the regulated limit of 20 km, the geometry and the number of control stations on quality of local geodetic networks for georeferencing, and also to demonstrate the importance of using specific tests to evaluate the solution of ambiguities and on the quality of the adjustment. The results indicated that the increasing number of control stations has improved the quality of the network, the geometry has not influenced on the quality and the baseline length has influenced on the quality; however, lengths higher than 20 km has not interrupted the implementation, with GPS L1 receiver, of the local geodetic network for the purpose of georeferencing. Also, the use of different statistical tests, both for the evaluation of the resolution of ambiguities and for the adjustment, have enabled greater clearness in analyzing the results, which allow that unsuitable observations may be eliminated.

Currently, the need of reliable coordinates has been one of the main objectives of the scientific and practice community. Thus, the robustness analysis of a geodetic network, aims, at analyzing if the network is robust or not, based on the maximum undetectable errors. The network will be robust if the influence of these errors is small, otherwise it is weak, or not robust. This analysis is performed with the merger of two techniques, one which deals with the statistical analysis of reliability and the other one with the geometric strength analysis. The reliability analysis will provide the maximum error that cannot be detected by tests, after the adjustment. After finding these errors, the geometric strength analysis will determine the potential strain that the network will have, based on these errors. It is emphasized that the robustness analysis doesn't depend of the datum, reflecting only the geometry of the network and the accuracy of the observations (VANÌCEK et al., 2001). Therefore, this work aims at contributing to the scientific research on geodetic networks, checking the same, based on their geometry and observations.

Se explica en este capítulo la metodología y sistemas de guiado empleados en la realización de los túneles de Alta Velocidad de la variante de Pajares, así como los trabajos geodésicos y topográficos, redes utilizadas, sistemas de observación, cálculo de las redes geodésicas, desplazamientos errores y cierres.

el proyecto consiste en el diseño de un vial que une el municipio de Móstoles y el Polígono Industrial Valdearenal, perteneciente al término municipal de Arroyomolinos. Adicionalmente se pretende diseñar una glorieta en su enlace con las vías urbanas de Móstoles para enlazar el vial con las vías urbanas de Móstoles. El enlace con el polígono industrial se realiza en una glorieta ya presente en la zona. Para la realización de este proyecto se ha seguido un proceso que engloba varias fases. En primer lugar, se ha creado una red que enlaza con las redes geodésicas nacionales con el fin de crear un grupo de vértices iniciales (bases) con coordenadas suficientemente precisas para basar en ellas el resto del trabajo y basadas en un sistema de coordenadas oficial. Desde las bases obtenidas se ha realizado un levantamiento en el que se ha dado una gran cantidad de puntos con el fin de definir el terreno de la zona lo más ajustado posible a la realidad y definiendo los elemento relevantes que se encuentran en este tales como calles, caminos, vallas, etc. Esta nube de puntos se ha medido en una franja transversal a la carretera planificada inicialmente de unos 60m, 30 a cada lado. La longitud total del tramo levantado es de aproximadamente 1,6km. Finalmente en campo, se ha realizado una nivelación entre las bases para que el desnivel entre estas sea lo más preciso posible y las diferentes zonas de puntos del levantamiento se ajusten la mejor posible entre sí. Realizada la parte de campo, se ha pasado a la parte de gabinete,donde se ha comenzado ajustando todos los resultados obtenidos para que la nube de puntos se acerque lo máximo que se pueda a la superficie real del terreno. Con estos datos se ha realizado la cartografía, dibujando todos los elementos de la zona y las líneas de nivel para definir la zona sobre el plano. Una vez hecha la cartografía se ha diseñado el vial y la glorieta nueva sobre esta y los enlaces con las zonas urbanas, ajustando esto a la normativa legal existente y estableciendo la señalización. Sobre el vial ya diseñado se ha realizado el cálculo de expropiaciones y, por último, el cálculo de presupuestos. El sistema de referencia en el que se encuentra todo el proyecto es ETRS89, que utiliza como modelo de elipsoide el GRS80. El sistema de coordenadas es UTM, ubicándose la zona del proyecto en el huso 30 y en el hemisferio norte. Se ha trabajado con alturas ortométricas, que emplean como datum el nivel medio del mar en Alicante entre los años 1870 y 1882. La razón por la que todos estos parámetros se han usado es debido a que son los oficiales en España.

Este estudo destaca os benefícios da análise metódica da cartografia de base que suporta a produção de Cartografia Geológica. Em certas regiões, as cartas base publicadas estão ainda associadas a redes geodésicas clássicas e, com frequência, são introduzidos erros quando se desconsideram parâmetros essenciais como a Projecção Cartográfica e o Datum Geodésico. Com o uso sistemático dos dispositivos de GPS e dos Sistemas de Informação Geográfica para a elaboração das cartas geológicas, é imprescindível o conhecimento prévio do Sistema de Coordenadas ao qual devem estar ajustados os dados geo-espaciais. Neste estudo de caso, as diferenças e os erros associados à aquisição de coordenadas entre os Data geocêntricos WGS84 e SIRGAS2000 são residuais, atendendo aos parâmetros das cartas base, à região do globo, o campo de acção e a escala, minimizando assim a propagação de erros de posicionamento e georreferenciação subsequentes.

In Brazil, there have been several GPS applications and with the introduction of the Law 10.267/2001 that among other dispositions, deals with georeferencing of the rural parcels. However, most commercial softwares of processing and adjustment of GPS data don't let users to evaluate their results in a reliable way. For example, the constraints are normally used as absolute, which provides results with very optimists precisions. The adoption of additional analyses and the implementation of softwares can reduce these kinds of problems. Thus, a software for adjustment of GPS networks was developed, aiming at assisting the requirements of the Law 10.267/2001 in a reliable way. In this context, in this work it is analyzed the adjustments of GPS networks, by using absolute and relative constraints. In the latter, the adjustments were accomplished considering and not considering the correlations among the coordinate positions.

Estimativa e análise de índices de irregularidades da ionosfera utilizando dados GPS de redes ativas

Observable GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) are affected by systematic errors due to free electrons present in the ionosphere. The error associated with the ionosphere depends on the Total Electron Content (TEC), which is influenced by several variables: solar cycle, season, local time, geomagnetic activity and geographic location. The GPS (Global Positioning System), GLONASS (Global Orbiting Navigation Satellite System) and Galileo dual frequency receivers allow the calculation of the error that affects the GNSS observables and the TEC. Using the rate of change of TEC (ROT - Rate of TEC) indices that indicate irregularities of the ionosphere can be determined, allowing inferences about its behavior. Currently it is possible to perform such studies in Brazil, due to the several Active Networks available, such as RBMC/RIBaC (Rede Brasileira de Monitoramento Contínuo/Rede INCRA de Bases Comunitárias) and GNSS Active Network of São Paulo. The proposed research aimed at estimating and analysing of indexes of irregularities of the ionosphere, besides supplying the geosciences of information about the behavior of the ionosphere.

In the past few years several GPS (Global Position System) positioning techniques have been develope and/or improved with the goal of obtaining high accuracy and productivity in real time. The reference station network concept besides to enabling quality and reliability in positioning for scientific and civil GPS community, allows studies concerning tropospheric refraction modeling in the network region. Moreover, among the network corrections transmission methods available to users, there is the VRS (Virtual Reference Station) concept. In this method, the data of a virtual station are generated near the rover receiver (user). This provides a short baseline and the user has the possibility of using a single frequency receiver to accomplish the relative positioning. In this paper, the methodology applied to generate VRS data, using different tropospheric models is described. Thus, comparative tests were conducted in the four seasons with the NWP/INPE (Numerical Weather Prediction/National Institute for Space Research) and Hopfield tropospheric models. In order to analyse the VRS data quality, it was used the Precise Point Positioning (PPP) method, where satisfactory results were found. Mean differences between PNT/INPE and Hopfield models of 9.75% and 24.2% for the hydrostatic and wet days, respectively were obtained.

Resumen: La difusión de las redes sociales en Internet ha pasado a formar parte de la vida cotidiana de los jóvenes. Las motivaciones que guían la elección de algunas de ellas, la frecuencia de uso y su impacto en el consumo de medios de comunicación tradicionales conforman el núcleo de este trabajo. Los jóvenes mostraron estar familiarizados con los fines y aplicaciones de las diferentes redes sociales, aunque en su gran mayoría eligen Facebook como su favorita. Manifiestan que, en términos generales, las redes sociales ofrecen una forma de comunicación completa, ya que permiten compartir texto, fotos, videos y enlaces, y estar en contacto permanente con familiares, amigos y conocidos
