O panorama de abordagens da psicologia do trabalho e das organizações (PTO) no Brasil mostra grande diversidade teórica e metodológica que reflete a presença de distintos paradigmas científicos na delimitação e organização desse campo. O objetivo deste artigo é analisar esses paradigmas e relacioná-los com três eixos temáticos da PTO no Brasil: o do comportamento, o da subjetividade e o clínico. Investiga-se os fundamentos epistemológicos e metodológicos, alguns trabalhos e autores de cada um desses eixos, discutindo sua contribuição para o campo da PTO no Brasil. O artigo desenvolve uma discussão sobre as tensões existentes entre esses eixos, derivadas da pressão de corresponderem, ao mesmo tempo, a critérios de rigor acadêmico e relevância organizacional. O artigo, por fim, mostra a diversificação do campo da PTO no Brasil e os desafios disso decorrentes.

Platinum plays an important role in catalysis and electrochemistry, and it is known that the direct interaction of oxygen with Pt surfaces can lead to the formation of platinum oxides (PtO(x)), which can affect the reactivity. To contribute to the atomistic understanding of the atomic structure of PtO(x), we report a density functional theory study of the atomic structure of bulk PtO(x) (1 <= x <= 2). From our calculations, we identified a lowest-energy structure (GeS type, space group Pnma) for PtO, which is 0.181 eV lower in energy than the structure suggested by W. J. Moore and L. Pauling [J. Am. Chem. Soc. 63, 1392 (1941)] (PtS type). Furthermore, two atomic structures were identified for PtO(2), which are almost degenerate in energy with the lowest-energy structure reported so far for PtO(2) (CaCl(2) type). Based on our results and analysis, we suggest that Pt and O atoms tend to form octahedron motifs in PtO(x) even at lower O composition by the formation of Pt-Pt bonds.

Los principales resultados de la exploracíón del área entre Pto, Pizarro y Chímbote, entre las 20 y las 200 brazas de profundidad, fueron: Las mayores concentraciones demersales ocurrieron al norte de Salaverry donde el contenido de oxígeno en el fondo fue mayor de 0,6 m1/1. Se calculó la biomasa total de peces demersales en 2 millones de toneladas de las cuales 0,8 millones correspondieron a la merluza siguiendo en importancia el vocador, la cabrílla, la doncella y los congrios. Se hace notar la conveniencia de refinar los métodos de evaluación incluyendo una mejor estimación de los factores de eficiencia usados en el modelo de área barrida . Las condiciones oceanográficas del área al tiempo de la exploración se consideran dentro de lo normal con temperaturas favorables debidas a intensos afloramientos.

Indica los acondicionamiento al BIC SNP-1 para la pesca del calamar y los resultados obtenidos entre la zona de Chicama hasta Pto. Pizarro, en octubre y noviembre de 1995. Asimismo, presenta los resultados de la aplicación del método de captura con máquinas calamareras, sistema de luces y sistema de anclaje y de los muestreos oceanográficos, acústicos y biológicos-pesqueros.

Este proyecto busca analizar y brindar las herramientas necesarias para poder exportar carne de calidad bajo un plan detallado de diagnostico en la zona a impactar en armonía con el medio ambiente. Básicamente, se trata de entender que la finca se debe manejar como una empresa agro-ganadera. El reto que tiene el gremio de los Agro-ganaderos está en crear, desarrollar y aplicar verdaderos proyectos de vida que sean productivos en las empresas ganaderas. Debemos empezar a utilizar los beneficios de los nuevos conceptos, tecnologías e investigaciones, para afrontar los retos que se imponen con los Tratados de Libre Comercio con otros países. La empresa Plus Agrícola S.A.S., quiere que estos conceptos, conocimientos, tecnologías e investigaciones lleguen a los pequeños y medianos productores de muchas zonas del país que como consecuencia de numerosos obstáculos e intereses de federaciones, no han podido acceder a capacitaciones que les permitan convertirse en verdaderos empresarios ganaderos. Plus Agrícola S.A.S., quiere proporcionar elementos de cambio que permitan dar un giro de 360 grados a estos productores pues estamos convencidos que el futuro de la ganadería en Colombia está en sistemas semi-estabulados y estabulados con confort, tanto en producción de carne y leche que permitan cambiar esa idea que de generación en generación hemos aplicado, como es sacar nuestros bovinos a pastorear en pasturas degradadas y pobres en alimento.

The Pto gene encodes a serine/threonine kinase that confers resistance in tomato to Pseudomonas syringae pv. tomato strains that express the avirulence gene avrPto. Partial characterization of the Pto signal transduction pathway and the availability of transgenic tomato lines (± Pto) make this an ideal system for exploring the molecular basis of disease resistance. In this paper, we test two transgenic tomato cell suspension cultures (±Pto) for production of H2O2 following independent challenge with two strains of P. syringae pv. tomato (±avrPto). Only when Pto and avrPto are present in the corresponding organisms are two distinct phases of the oxidative burst seen, a rapid first burst followed by a slower and more prolonged second burst. In the remaining three plant–pathogen interactions, we observe either no burst or only a first burst, indicating that the second burst is correlated with disease resistance. Further support for this observation comes from the finding that both resistant and susceptible tomato lines produce the critical second oxidative burst when challenged with P. syringae pv. tabaci, a nonhost pathogen that elicits a hypersensitive response on both tomato lines. The Pto kinase is not required, however, for the oxidative burst initiated by non-specific elicitors such as oligogalacturonides or osmotic stress. A model describing a possible role for the Pto kinase in the overall scheme of oxidative burst signaling is proposed.

We have investigated the origin of the Pto disease resistance (R) gene that was previously identified in the wild tomato species Lycopersicon pimpinellifolium and isolated by map-based cloning. Pto encodes a serine-threonine protein kinase that specifically recognizes strains of Pseudomonas syringae pv. tomato (Pst) that express the avirulence gene avrPto. We examined an accession of the distantly related wild species Lycopersicon hirsutum var. glabratum that exhibits avrPto-specific resistance to Pst. The Pst resistance of L. hirsutum was introgressed into a susceptible Lycopersicon esculentum background to create the near-isogenic line 96T133-3. Resistance to Pst(avrPto) in 96T133-3 was inherited as a single dominant locus and cosegregated with a restriction fragment length polymorphism detected by the Pto gene. This observation suggested that a member of the Pto gene family confers Pst(avrPto) resistance in this L. hirsutum line. Here we report the cloning and characterization of four members of the Pto family from 96T133-3. One gene (LhirPto) is 97% identical to Pto and encodes a catalytically active protein kinase that elicits a hypersensitive response when coexpressed with avrPto in leaves of Nicotiana benthamiana. In common with the Pto kinase, the LhirPto protein physically interacts with AvrPto and downstream members of the Pto signaling pathway. Our studies indicate that R genes of the protein kinase class may not evolve rapidly in response to pathogen pressure and rather that their ability to recognize specific Avr proteins can be highly conserved.

The plant-intracellular interaction of the avirulence protein AvrPto of Pseudomonas syringae pathovar tomato, the agent of bacterial speck disease, and the corresponding tomato resistance protein Pto triggers responses leading to disease resistance. Pto, a serine/threonine protein kinase, also interacts with a putative downstream kinase, Pto-interactor 1, as well as with members of a family of transcription factors Pto-interactors 4, 5, and 6. These proteins are likely involved, respectively, in a phosphorylation cascade resulting in hypersensitive cell death, and in defense gene activation. The mechanism by which the interaction of AvrPto and Pto initiates defense response signaling is not known. To pursue the hypothesis that tertiary interactions are involved, we modified the yeast two-hybrid protein interaction trap and conducted a search for tomato proteins that interact with Pto only in the presence of AvrPto. Five classes of AvrPto-dependent Pto interactors were isolated, and their interaction specificity confirmed. Also, to shed light on a recently demonstrated virulence activity of AvrPto, we conducted a standard two-hybrid screen for tomato proteins in addition to Pto that interact with AvrPto: i.e., potential virulence targets or modifiers of AvrPto. By constructing an N-terminal rather than a C-terminal fusion of AvrPto to the LexA DNA binding domain, we were able to overcome autoactivation by AvrPto and identify four classes of specific AvrPto-interacting proteins.

Resistance to bacterial speck in tomato is governed by a gene-for-gene interaction in which a single resistance locus (Pto) in the plant responds to the expression of a specific avirulence gene (avrPto) in the pathogen. Disease susceptibility results if either Pto or avrPto are lacking from the corresponding organisms. Leaves of tomato cultivars that contain the Pto locus also exhibit a hypersensitive-like response upon exposure to an organophosphorous insecticide, fenthion. Recently, the Pto gene was isolated by a map-based cloning approach and was shown to be a member of a clustered multigene family with similarity to various protein-serine/threonine kinases. Another member of this family, termed Fen, was found to confer sensitivity to fenthion. The Pto protein shares 80% identity (87% similarity) with Fen. Here, Pto and Fen are shown to be functional protein kinases that probably participate in the same signal transduction pathway.

A computerized scheduling method may be stored in a memory and executed on one or more processors. The method may include defining a main multi-machine scheduling problem as a plurality of single machine scheduling problems; independently solving the plurality of single machine scheduling problems thereby calculating a plurality of near optimal single machine scheduling problem solutions; integrating the plurality of near optimal single machine scheduling problem solutions into a main multi-machine scheduling problem solution; and outputting the main multi-machine scheduling problem solution.
