Uma cidade para pessoas: funcionalidade, racionalidade e emotividade nas relações mobiliário urbano, espaço público e cidadãos

This research investigates how functionality, rationality, and emotionality applied to urban furniture design contribute to the organization, legibility, and qualification of public spaces, according to different layouts, physical and visual qualities of the urban furniture as well as the quality of urban infrastructure that may influence the uses and appropriation of urban spaces by pedestrians, turning those spaces into socially centripetal or centrifugal places. The work consists of two parts. First refers to a bibliographical review concerning two main issues of the investigation: product design and legibility of public space, defining the conceptual and theoretical bases, linked to methodological strategies aimed at systemic planning and integrated management of urban furniture design and legibility of public spaces (sidewalks), that are necessary to define the existing relationships among the user s interface (pedestrians); product (urban artifacts); built environment (sidewalks). The second part refers to the achievement of empirical approach throughout visual analysis of public spaces and the functional and qualitative evaluation of the existing urban furniture in the central neighborhood of Cidade Alta, Natal, RN, according to the theoretical researched concepts and methodological procedures. The results expose the weaknesses and levels of intensity arising from the relations among public space, urban furniture, and users, revealing the need for theoretical and practical approaches which would help the decision-making in planning, designing and integrating innovative, sustainable, and ethical solutions in order to design attractive public spaces that could provide sociability and citizenship throughout integrated public management, city systemic thinking and urban identity. The suggested guidelines at the end of this research will provide the necessary strategies to design suitable urban furniture systems according to aesthetic and practical urban infrastructure and city context, aiming to ease visual and physical conflicts that may negatively interfere with the appropriation of public spaces by the citizens

This work aims to analyze and evaluate the Urban furniture designed to public areas according to the Revitalization planning for Rio Grande do Norte coastland, defining visual relations among urban elements in the landscape of revitalized public urban areas with cultural, paisagistic and touristic values and the design process used for developing urban furniture to those areas, observing the incoming consequences use to that process in a specific urban context which alters use, functions, cultural images as well as social values attributed to each particular place. Environmental perceptions, legibility of local cultural references and their representation through the design of urban elements, act in a positive or negative manner over the inhabitants cognition process of some particular revitalized area, determining new use and attributions to those areas. Designs for coastal urban interventions try excessively to standardize technical media, construction materials and planning configurations, creating artificial sceneries that segregates users, imposing new structures and usage, generating, consequently, the so called non-places and burlesque regionalism. The research is divided into 4 chapters: 1) Theoretical support (Industrial design; Urban furniture; Public urban spaces; Urban image and environmental perception; Urban occupation and interventions in coastland areas); 2) Methodological procedures and data collection; 3) Analysis of Rio Grande do Norte coastal areas and their urban interventions; 4) Final considerations and Industrial Design contributions to the subject

Vitalidade no centro antigo Teresina, Piauí Praça Marechal Deodoro: uma intervenção contemporânea em área de valor patrimonial

This study deals with the discussions of contemporary interventions in public spaces in areas of heritage value. The product of this dissertation is an Intervention Project to Marechal Deodoro Square located in Teresina/PI center. The starting point for understanding the theme of this study is to investigate the accessibility and vitality of a public space - through relationship between form and uses. The spatial properties of accessibility and visibility as well as the distribution of land use - factors were associated with distinct patterns of vitality - and compared to usage patterns observed in situ and statements from users obtained through the results of the questionnaires. In attention to questions about the building constructed, particularly in historical centers, considers the guidelines to define intervention strategies in the square, consisted in the development of simulations that after evaluation of results of redesign, was chosen the best option to meet the necessary requirements to the performance, considering the spatial properties of integration and visibility that meet these requirements. Therefore, the "Intervention Project" carried out for the Marechal Deodoro Square characterization proposed items are discussed: spatial structure, vegetation, road network, pavements, street furniture and lighting

Os direitos humanos de acessibilidade e locomoção das pessoas com necessidades especiais: a realidade paraense, com ênfase em Belém/PA

Aborda a problemática enfrentada, diuturnamente, pelas pessoas com necessidades especiais, frente às barreiras arquitetônicas, nos edifícios destinados ao uso público e nos meios de transporte coletivo, bem como diante da falta de equipamentos e elementos do mobiliário urbano acessíveis. Utiliza dados censitários acerca das referidas pessoas. Analisa essa problemática sob o enfoque dos direitos humanos. Enfatiza a imprescindibilidade de eliminação das referidas barreiras ou de serem adaptadas. Demonstra como o assunto é tratado no plano internacional e como está substanciado em normas constitucionais nacionais e estaduais, nas leis orgânicas municipais e na legislação infraconstitucional específica nos níveis federal, estadual e municipal, bem assim em normas técnicas. Aponta a precariedade das estruturas físico-ambientais, principalmente no município de Belém, Estado do Pará. Contém propostas para a efetividade das normas de acessibilidade e locomoção das aludidas pessoas e a concreção desses direitos humanos.

Alfama : Análise da paisagem urbana como expressão do património subunidade de estudo: Zona Ribeirinha, da Rua da Alfândega a Rua do Jardim do Tabaco

Esta investigação tem como contexto o bairro de Alfama, centrando-se em uma área específica situada na zona ribeirinha com início na Rua da Alfândega e se estendendo até a Rua do Jardim do Tabaco. É uma zona com relevante potencial turístico, mas com pouco dinamismo apesar dos vários atrativos que lá existem. O trabalho tem como objetivo analisar a paisagem urbana na subunidade de estudo citada acima de forma a descobrirmos através da leitura do espaço urbano uma identidade patrimonial para desta maneira propormos a sua valorização. Para facilitar o estudo dividimos a área em cinco trechos e através da observação in loco esboçarmos sua situação ao nível de morfologia urbana, das características espaciais, dos usos e do modo de apropriação do espaço pelas pessoas e pelas atividades, o estado de conservação do edificado, o mobiliário urbano e todas as características do seu entorno. Para a análise da paisagem fizemos um levantamento fotográfico digital e uma avaliação visual do percurso procurando enquadrar-se na leitura da paisagem estudada pelos autores Kevin Lynch e Gordon Cullen. O estudo também passa por uma avaliação dos seus aspectos significativos, ou seja, os registres de memórias que são pontos fortes da paisagem urbana. São aspectos que identificam o local e definem a sua legibilidade. Em paralelo elaboramos uma análise SWOT que contribuiu para entendermos o complexo de desafios que se colocam ao nosso universo de estudo e justificar o contributo desta dissertação através de propostas concretas de valorização. ABSTRACT; The context of this research is Alfama district, focusing on a specific area located on the waterfront starting at Alfândega Street and extending until Jardim do Tabaco Street. lt is an area with a relevant tourism potential, however with a small dynamic despite its many attractions. The research aim to study the urban landscape in the sub-unit mentioned above in order to uncover, through an urban reading, a patrimonial identity seeking its recovery. To facilitate the research, the area was divided into five sections and, by in loco observation, we outlined its position into a urban morphology rank, space characteristics, uses and appropriation of space by individuals and activities, conservation condition of the building, urban furniture and all the features of its surroundings. With regards the landscape study, was done a digital inventory and a visual evaluation of the route in quest of to fit it in the landscape studies by the authors Kevin Lynch and Gordon Cullen. The research also goes through an appraisal of its significant aspects, in other words, the memories records that are the strengths of the urban landscape. These are aspects that identify the location and define its readability. ln parallel we had developed a SWOT analysis which helped to understand the complex challenges in this universe of studies and justify the contribution of this thesis with concrete recovery proposals.

Câmara Municipal de Loures: uma experiência em arquitetura paisagista no sector público

O presente relatório de estágio reflete o trabalho realizado e a experiência adquirida ao longo de seis meses na Câmara Municipal de Loures. Os trabalhos desenvolvidos correspondem, sobretudo, ao que era pretendido por parte da Câmara Municipal tendo sido aplicados, em parte, os conhecimentos adquiridos ao longo da licenciatura e do mestrado em Arquitetura Paisagista na Universidade de Évora. Este relatório incide sobre a regulamentação do mobiliário urbano em todo o Município de Loures, na caracterização e proposta de intervenção para alguns espaços abertos pertencentes ao concelho e na importância da Arquitetura Paisagista no sector público; ABSTRACT: City Council of Loures: An Experience in Landscape Architecture in the Public Sector This internship report reflects the work done and experience gained over six months at the City Council of Loures. The work developed are primarily to what was intended by the City Council having been applied in part the knowledge acquired throughout the undergraduate and master's degree in Landscape Architecture at the University of Évora. This report focuses on the regulation of street furniture throughout the Loures Municipality, characterization and proposal of intervention for some open spaces belonging to the municipality and the importance of Landscape Architecture in the public sector.

Prevalencia de Coccidiosis en lechones de patio de el casco urbano de Siguate-Olancho, Honduras

La Coccidiosis neonatal es una de las enfermedades producidas por protozoarios, cuyo agente causal en la especie porcina es la Isospora Suis. Se caracteriza por una invasión aguda al intestino delgado, con frecuencia atacando animales jóvenes, produciendo destrucción de los enterositos y la consiguiente diarrea blanca amarillenta cremosa en los lechones. En Honduras la aldea de Siguate se desconoce el impacto por Coccidiosis. Lo cual motivo a la realización de este trabajo que tiene por titulo: “PREVALENCIA DE COCCIDIOSIS EN LECHONES DE PATIO EN EL CASCO URBANO DE SIGUATE-OLANCHO, HONDURAS”, este estudio se realizo en la aldea de Siguate, municipio de Catacamas departamento de Olancho a 264 kilómetros sur este de la ciudad de Tegucigalpa Francisco Morazán, Honduras C.A., con una población de 71 mil habitantes y ubicado a 14ª 56” y 14ª 23” latitud norte y 86ª 19” longitud oeste, a una altura de 350msnm, presenta una temperatura promedio de 25ªc, con una humedad relativa de 67.66%, precipitación pluvial promedio anual de 1311.25, siendo el objetivo principal, Realizar un diagnostico parasitologico en las especie porcina através de la técnica de flotación, así como, también determinar la prevalencia en porcinos de patio en el casco urbano e identificar el comportamiento de la enfermedad en los porcinos de Siguate-Olancho, Honduras. Para lo cual se elaboraron formatos específicos para obtener datos generales de los lechones, se seleccionó una muestra de 171 lechones, elegidos solamente los que presentaban diarreas, a cada lechón se le realizo valoración clínica, se efectúo encuesta para valorar el historial de esta patología en el área de estudio, concluyendo con una muestra de heces diarreicas para ser analizadas posteriormente obteniendo los siguiente resultados. Que la Coccidiosis en lechones en el casco urbano de Siguate se presento mayormente en lechones menores de un mes con una prevalencia del 65%, que la enfermedad suele ser mortal cuando se presentaba con otras patologías ,como rotavirus, y en muchos casos se determinaron lechones positivos a Coccidiosis también resultaban positivos a rotavirus. No obviando que los cerdos que permanecían en hacinamiento y con prácticas de destete precoz, presentaron mayor numero de casos positivos de diarreas ocasionadas por Coccidiosis. En vista de ello se recomienda que la higiene y el control sanitario debe de ser integral (Limpieza química y limpieza mecánica), por lo que es saludable que residuos de alimentos (maschigue) sean revisados antes de su entrega y levantados los desperdicios al terminar para evitar la presencia de moscas. Aunque es de vital importancia para la producción de alimentos sano, confiable y seguro al consumo humano que tome control el Ministerio de Agricultura y Ganadería y desarrolle capacitaciones sobre la seguridad alimenticia para la comunidad de Siguate Honduras.
