Knowledge plays an important role in health care. The production and diffusion of health-related knowledge are increasingly under the control of private commercial interests, which are characterized by conflicts of interests that result in abuses of power. Considerable research has been done on the medical-industrial complex and its role in the production of power imbalances and the consequent abuses, but little attention has been dedicated to the role played by the publishing industry, which can be subject to the same problems. The widely diffused idea that "frequent and major changes" occur in medicine, albeit unsupported by clearcut evidence, is an effective marketing tool for both the pharmaceutical and publishing industries, who feed and thrive on physicians' insecurities. The production and distribution of knowledge should be addressed as a strategic component of public health.

The Plateforme Interdisciplinaire of the University of Lausanne is at the crossroad of soft and hard sciences. We question the place and the role of languages and scientific cultures in the construction and the transmission of knowledge. The examples - from the fields of law, health, mathematics, neurosciences and university education - exceed a conception of languages as transparent vehicles for ideas and discoveries. They enable to consider the diversity of languages and scientific cultures as a mean for a " thick standardization" of science, integrating and valuing the double need for conceptual depth and accessibility of scientific discourse.

Este trabalho contempla o descasamento entre a extraordinria expanso do campo do gesto estratgica (GE) e as crescentes crticas incapacidade de lidar com as crises da globalizao neoliberal. A anlise crtica mostra como a universalizao do americanismo acompanhada pela universalizao do management e do strategic management. Em seguida, explora como os discursos neoliberais de mercado e no-mercado reproduzem discursos simplistas que contribuem para a legitimao da atuao das corporaes em escala global. Por fim, tratada a preferncia pela grande corporao moderna, por meio da marginalizao de outros formatos organizacionais de grande relevncia principalmente para economias emergentes. O framework integrativo resultante ento aplicado a uma seleo de artigos cientficos de GE que permitiu a identificao de cinco temas: geopoltica do conhecimento, empiricismo cientificista, concepes simplificadas de mercado e instituies, governana corporativa e capitalismo. A explorao da conexo entre o conhecimento em GE e o ordenamento econmico e geopoltico do neoliberalismo mostra como o campo pode ter relevncia para a sociedade, alm de promover a aproximao do mainstream com as perspectivas crticas.

This work is a discussion of the artistic process of an artist-researcher made from field research with benzedeiras and benzedores the state of Rio Grande do Norte. This is an investigation on the cultural universe of the popular benzeo as poetic element to the artistic dance. To discuss the different stages of the research and the relationships between the artist-researcher, the benzedeiras/benzedores and the creation/composition scenic, the work takes as reference the triangular relationship created by anthropologist Claude Lvi-Strauss, in his discussion on the effectiveness of symbols of healing, adapted to the context of benzeo . For dialogue between tradition, popular knowledge, scientific and artistic knowledge this work approaches as analytical reference the epistemological model of the type rhizome proposed by Deleuze and Guattari, understanding it as a model that seeks to form a network of relations in different paths of research, to establish connections between elements without target them or subordinating them. In the universe of benzeo , benzedeiras and benzedores carry a symbolic power that issued in whispered prayers, in peculiar gestures that form crosses in space, heal those who seek your prayers and blessing. In this research, the mixture of popular knowledge, artistic and academic knowledge, born an artistic work in the context of Performing Arts, more specifically dance, and between branches, saints, candles and conversations the work allowed other looks poetic for our popular culture, (re)asserting their cultural and human values through the art

Psicologia: Cincia e Profisso (PCP), publicada pelo Conselho Federal de Psicologia ao longo de 30 anos, registra o avano da Psicologia, como cincia e profisso. O objetivo deste trabalho relatar alguns aspectos que merecem destaque, a partir de 2005, quando PCP se consolida como uma revista cientfica, ganha a verso digital e se insere no movimento do acesso aberto. feita tambm uma breve anlise dos indicadores de citaes da revista. As anlises foram efetuadas a partir da leitura dos editoriais dos fascculos publicados do ano 2005 at o momento. Com base nos mdulos de bibliometria do PePSIC e SciELO, alm dos dados das referncias da revista, foram levantados indicadores de citaes recebidas e fornecidas por PCP. Os dados permitem afirmar que PCP vem aumentando o nmero de citaes recebidas. A rede de revistas que mais citam PCP est publicada no PePSIC, demonstrando que publicaes eletrnicas ganham maior visibilidade na comunidade cientfica. Ao completar 30 anos, a proposta da revista o comprometimento com a Psicologia voltada para aliviar o sofrimento humano, mas tambm dedicada ao avano da cincia psicolgica. O conhecimento documentado em revistas cientficas e o impacto que tais publicaes representam para o saber universal algo que deve ser abordado, discutido e entendido, assim, estudos dessa natureza devem ser incentivados.

As grandes Revolues que a histria oficial relata apresentam um aspecto comum: a evoluo do processo de comunicao aliada evoluo tecnolgica. A partir do Sculo XX, as informaes passaram a circular em nmero e em velocidade escalares. A interdependncia e a interligao dos pases, naes e pessoas estreitaram-se, pois a mobilidade no espao virtual, progressivamente, relativiza as distncias e os espaos geofsicos. Todavia, a avalanche de conhecimento, de aprimoramento cientfico e de desenvolvimento econmico parece no ser suficiente para responder, concretamente, as questes que ainda assolam a humanidade. Neste cenrio, o presente trabalho tem por objetivo aproximar a concepo de ser humano para discentes do curso de administrao com as categorias existenciais presentes no pensamento de Edith Stein, por meio dos objetivos especficos: Compreender o que ser humano para o discente do curso de administrao em uma IES Confessional do ABC Paulista; descrever o que ser humano a partir do pensamento fenomenolgico de Edith Stein; buscar convergncias, divergncias e/ou idiossincrasias entre os relatos de discentes do curso de administrao em uma IES Confessional do ABC Paulista e o pensamento de Edith Stein. Para tal, foram colhidos cinco relatos de discentes de administrao, por meio dos quais foram feitas aproximaes, convergncias-divergncias com as categorias analticas da concepo de ser humano no pensamento de Edith Stein para cada sujeito, tendo como questo norteadora: o que ser humano para voc ? Aps a coleta, as entrevistas foram analisadas tendo como referncia os trabalhos de Edith Stein (fenomenologia eidtica), Castro (2003), Flauzino (2012) e Estanislau (2010), cumprindo as seguintes etapas: literalizao dos relatos ingnuos, levantamento das unidades de sentido, levantamento e anlise fenomenolgica das categorias, as quais possibilitaram o dilogo intersubjetivo e objetivo com os pressupostos tericos sobre o tema em pauta. Categorias estas denominadas de: 1. Corpo Fsico e Corpo Vivente; 2. Esprito; Sujeito Psicofsico; 3. Comunidade. A partir da anlise das categorias, observou-se que a concepo de ser humano conflui para a unidade do ser, ser este que composto por corpo vivente, psique e esprito, de forma a possibilitar relaes com o outro e com o ambiente. No possvel ser humano sem um encontro com o outro, sem o respeito mtuo, sem a liberdade de ser o que se . Emerge a dos relatos a dimenso comunitria, somente na qual se possvel realizar a humanidade, por meio de atos de liberdade, respeito e de compaixo. Desvelou-se tambm dentro destes relatos, que quando se humano, a vida em seu todo realizada de forma harmoniosa. Poder-se-, ento, por meio do revelar-se do fenmeno, obter uma nova forma de olhar, de pensar e questionar as prticas vivenciadas na Administrao, contribuindo com a formao de uma massa crtica para as cincias sociais aplicadas da administrao, ao refletir sobre o que h de mais estruturante e nuclear no discente de administrao.

This study highlights the importance of cognition-affect interaction pathways in the construction of mathematical knowledge. Scientific output demands further research on the conceptual structure underlying such interaction aimed at coping with the high complexity of its interpretation. The paper discusses the effectiveness of using a dynamic model such as that outlined in the Mathematical Working Spaces (MWS) framework, in order to describe the interplay between cognition and affect in the transitions from instrumental to discursive geneses in geometrical reasoning. The results based on empirical data from a teaching experiment at a middle school show that the use of dynamic geometry software favours students attitudinal and volitional dimensions and helps them to maintain productive affective pathways, affording greater intellectual independence in mathematical work and interaction with the context that impact learning opportunities in geometric proofs. The reflective and heuristic dimensions of teacher mediation in students learning is crucial in the transition from instrumental to discursive genesis and working stability in the Instrumental-Discursive plane of MWS.
